Our Server went above and beyond to get me a larger glass for my soda ( i drink a lot ) unfortunately that glass fell off our table and broke. all the staff were great

This is one of the most consistent restaurants in the area. A great place to go if you are looking for a nice shady patio, great cocktail list, and fresh seafood options without having to fight over your booking. They have sadly gotten rid of the oyster happy hour that was a Harvard Square classic, but they are adding new, fun options to their menu like the infused spritzers. Always good, but I do wish they had at least 1-2 kid friendly options.

I live this place! Except the Caesar salad with shrimp THREE burned shrimp for 8 dollars and a very small salad … not good and not worth the money. The rest of the food was great. The waitstaff, fabulous A great experience.

We had a wonderful experience for mother's day. Brought my 3-year-old and my parents, and had great service. They were even able to move us inside when the patio (reserved) was a little chilly for my mom. Music was quiet without being silent, and everyone around us was friendly as well. We enjoyed delicious oysters, tacos, ceviche and more. My dad is a coffee snob, and said, "they have GREAT coffee!" Only point off was that the menu wasn't a quite right for lunch. I've been to Red House several times and always had excellent experiences. In the past we've had excellent cocktails, great craft beers, and more. We will go back again for sure.

I return to the Red House often. Beautiful oysters, delicious lobster and a good dry champagne to pair with my lobster roll. The service was excellent. Thank you for looking after me until my supper guests arrived.

Went for lunch with a colleague. Service was great and fun to sit outside. Oysters were plump nd tasty, kale salad so-so with chicken addition being too dry. I'll go again certainly to enjoy the oysters and a beer.

We were 20 mins late due to parking and I was so happy they saved our table without us calling. That first impression was everything And I was super grateful. Food was excellent. Drinks were really cute ! Would definitely return 😊

Sadly we did not enjoy our meal here. Quite disappointing all around. If you’re looking for good tasting food, I wouldn’t recommend the lobster or the short rib / risotto. Not worth the money and not really a great experience.

Excellent ambiance in historic colonial with three small dining spaces: the pink room (quiet and cozy), the bar area alcove (lively and pretty), the outdoor deck with plastic window enclosures. Short ribs dish was excellent, as well as burger and lobster roll. Great service. Nice to be able to walk around Harvard Square afterward.

Fun atmosphere (maybe too loud for some) but the service was top-notch with friendly servers, great attention, and the food and drinks (hello there, flight of margaritas!) were excellent. Had a really great time and it felt like a perfect location for a reunion dinner between two long-time friends (which is what we wanted)!

I was hoping to love this place, like I loved the old Red House. This is a new incarnation, post-COVID, and no longer with the fancy food superbly prepared in a sumptuous setting. Now, it's a fairly inexpensive, casual eatery with a home-style decor. Really superb service with highly engaged wait staff. Sadly, the food wasn't particularly well prepared. Prices are moderate, but the food doesn't match up. Cocktails were mediocre at best. I usually never send dishes back, but this time I had to send two back. This could be a great place with a better chef. (Sorry.)

Delicious food in a lovely setting. Super friendly and helpful staff. The lobster rolls are the best! I only wish that our outdoor table hadn’t been given away- we were 10 minutes later than our booking time but we had called ahead to say we were on our way. One of my guests was rather unhappy about it.

Swordfish with spinach, ratatouille, and mashed potato was wonderful. I'd order it again, probably more likely for dinner. There wasn't enough lighter fare on the menu for lunch unfortunately, but my entree was great. Chocolate mousse was not great.

A real gem of a restaurant. Quaint, historic and charming! The Red House is a hidden gem located right in the heart of Harvard Square. The service is impeccable and a joyful dining experience. Their clam chowder IS THE BEST in New England by a margin of 3. You just must have it!

I’m sorry to say I don’t remember my server’s name nor my bartender but they were phenomenal. They absolutely made the experience. Very knowledgeable’ honest about entrees. Couldn’t be happier with my experience. Would highly recommend.
