The Restaurant at Pearl Morissette Ratings and Reviews
One of the best meal we've every had. From start to the end, it was an amazing experience. The food is simple, local seasonal ingredients, all made in house, and properly done. With a little over an hour drive, it was definitely worth the drive there. The service was very professional, but still relax. Definitely recommend The Restaurant at Pearl Morissette to friends and family.
Loved it! Took my mother for her birthday as a surprise and was not disappointed. I was not a huge fan of one of the elements of a certain dish (not because of how it was done - but I'm simply not a big sea urchin fan) and it was quickly and happily replaced with an alternative item so I did not miss out. Wonderful service, our server was kind and soft spoken which suited the atmosphere. A different chef delivered each course of our lunch which was lovely to see the people responsible for the food (usually you may only catch a glimpse of the chefs so this was an interesting change). 100% would recommend for the more adventurous eaters out there, the tasting is changed daily and no menu is presented until the end of the meal so get ready for some surprises and go with the flow. Will definitely be back. Thank you!
Gorgeous space and phenomenal service. The tasting menu is excellent value and the wine pairings were great. Perfect for a gettaway date. We had our first sea urchin experience and ate the hell out of a crispy goose. You won't be disappointed!
This was the most memorable meal I have ever eaten. My husband and I are world trave ers and have enjoyed many 5-star Michelinmeals, but none more creative, elegant, and beautiful than this.
Had a wonderful lunch to celebrate a birthday. The food was excellent. Love the fact that there is no menu, just enjoy what the chef decides to prepare with what’s available. Will most definitely be returning.
Under the radar. Exquisite venue and food and service. Highly recommended.
Fantastic dinner!!!! The restaurant has a beautiful vibe and the meal was delicious. We will definitely be back. Thank you chef Daniel and staff... we look forward to our return.
We were there for new year eve. The restaurant is on very high second floor without elevator.
One person on our party had a bit of difficulty to go up the stairs. (High and steep).
The restaurant is very nicely designed with lots of open space. The service was excellent.
It was a multi course tasting menu. They don't have a menu per say even during normal days. They only do tasting menus. We also took the wine paring.
The individual courses we very elaborate using local ingredients. And with each course someone from the kitchen came to our table to explain the food and the ingredients. The same with each wine paring. It was a quite a nice experience and we discovered ingredients that we never heard about.
All that would have been perfect if there had been more food in the plates. The portions were minuscules and we thought that with a check of over $700 for 4 people the portions could have been a little more substantial.
These portions were for people with anorexia not for people with a normal appetite. This is why I cannot recommend that restaurant.
By far, one of the finest meals I’ve had ever. Spectacularly thought out, friendly and extremely knowledgable staff. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a dining experience blow their minds. The flavours were rich and plenty - a true testament to the beauty that Canada has to offer.
An amazing 7 course meal paired with wine. The service level is amazing.
Superb cuisine, what a range of dishes ! Cod cheeks as good as when in Newfoundland !
excellent service. Informative and helpful chefs guide you through the tasting dishes
We live in the Niagara region and are foodies. We have eaten at PM 2 Sundays in a row and included our son and d-in-law for the second experience and it was even better than the first. The only negative part of the first was the offering of a cheese plate (not part of the tasting menu) and it consisted of a single cheese that was very bland.
We paid cash on our initial visit and were very surprised to have our gratuity returned at our second visit....we were not aware of the "no tipping" policy.
Our server, Melissa, was wonderfully knowledgeable about the PM wines and the food was beyond expectations.
We will be regulars and are very happy to have this experience in Niagara.
The food was absolutely phenomenal. The chefs came out and personally introduced each dish to us which was such a lovely experience. The wine pairings were perfect. You could feel the passion when sommelier discribed each wine. The layout of the restaurant was beautiful and the ambiance was on point. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality dining experience.
We have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this restaurant, and it did not disappoint! If you are arriving while it’s dark, look for the red cardinal (about the only thing lit up). We enjoyed every aspect of the restaurant: design, food, and service. The chefs graciously showed us their kitchen. The servers were knowledgeable and attentive. We felt the price was very reasonable for an establishment of such high caliber.
1st time there, it was a great experience, this is a place you go to for the setting, the service and definitely the food. We had the wine pairing with our meal and it was absolutely excellent. Once again I emphasize it is about the experience and will definitely go back.
I found the duck breast tough . The thigh was great . I forgot to tell you that ?I don't like pink meat!!! Everything else was exquisite .
Outstanding in every way. What most impressed us is how you curate an experience that stays true to what makes Pearl Morissette so extraordinary. Thank you!
Get in here while it is still relatively easy! This place will be a superstar destination in no time here in Niagara wine & food country! The value proposition alone makes it far more than worth your while ($78/person inclusive of "tip" for 5-course tasting menu, other add-ons are available for extra charges--cheese course, wine pairings, etc..). Took my wife for her birthday on a Saturday night, and it was spectacular in every way! Fantastic space, well thought-out, great vibe (music, art, lighting, etc..). Staff were fantastic! Everyone serves (including chefs!) and cleaning is similarly shared duty...attentive, not overbearing, casual in the best possible way! Thoughtful menu, with great variety, textures, flavours, ingredients, etc.. What are you waiting for?!
Food was excellent and the room is very nice. Will definitely go back.
From the initial greeting, knowledgeable sommelier, to the chefs visiting table side and explaining the delicious locally sourced ingredients, we would return again, and again to sample new menus. R and D
Excellent and creative meal. Worth to go. Elegant place. Really good service. You can see chefs and servers are really take care the food, place and service. Definitely go back again.
What a real gem! The long awaited opening was everything and more. The restaurant, food, wine and service was exceptional. The menu is not published and based on seasonal findings. Dinner consisted of 5 courses. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavour. The wine paring is good value and as is combined with wine from, of course, the winery and other local wines.
I will come back again and again.
My wife and i read a review of the Restaurant the week before we went. Everything about our lunch was great. Excellent staff. The Chefs came to our table and they were so cool and down to earth. We will definitely go back.
We had a lovely brunch of five courses which is really the dinner menu ... of course wine selection was beautiful and wait staff knowledgeable ! The food was unique and very good ... larger portion and/or something a little more hearty for Sunday morning brunch would have been appreciated but really outstanding food and presentation will love to come back !
Loved the restaurant, the food and the wine! Excellent evening!
The Restaurant at Pearl Morissette delivered an absolutely outstanding meal and a perfect dining experience. It will very soon become recognized as one of the premiere dining locations in Canada.
We went opening week for a birthday surprise and we were not disspointed. The service was excellent. Wait staff was professional and knowledgeable. Environment was warm and welcoming! The dishes were delicious yet still intriguing.
By far the best fine cuisine, excellent wine and incredible service. Just opened and still best kept secret for dining. The attention to details is out of this word; fine glass, cutlery, design and the finest washroom.
the formulae is unique (tasting), the ambiance is calm and peaceful, the staff courteous and knowledgeable.
A must to experience
We had a wonderful lunch at Pearl Morisette this past weekend. The room is beautiful, as was the food. The menu (which is a tasting menu) was innovative and the food absolutely delicious.
It was a fun culinary experience not to know what was coming course to course, we loved it, but be prepared not to be choosing off a menu. I would also highly recommend choosing the wine pairing. Everything was well thought through and we will definitely be back!
Fantastic tasting menu for lunch with impeccable service. The views from the restaurant are overlooking the Jordan farm and vineyards. Every day is a new tasting menu with food from the local area and was delicious and innovative. Was surprised to find a hidden gem like this in the middle of the orchard. The interior space is on par with vineyards in Napa and Sonoma.
This Restaurant is a rising star straight out of the gate!
The service, ambience, cuisine is fantastic, Well worth the drive! Especially to not only have Great serve but to have the Chefs come to your table to serve and describe each dish! Highly recomended.
Can’t wait to come back.
We thoroughly enjoyed the five course tasting menu. The beautiful Pearl Morrisette wine pairings were excellent. The local ingredients enhanced every dish. The service was impeccable.
An exceptional experience for the discerning foodie. Impeccable yet casual and comfortable service with the chefs presenting each of the 5 course tasting menu. Each dish artfully presented and interactively described. Accompanying wine pairing from a selection of Pearl Morissette wines as well as from a few other wineries thoughtfully selected. My wife and I throughly enjoyed each dish and will be back soon.
