The Restaurant at Pearl Morissette

I was really looking forward to this restaurant! I waited 1 1/2 months for my reservation and portions was not enough to fill us up. The restaurant is very elegant and service was amazing. They do offer an additional cheese option for an extra 10$ per person - We drove from Toronto specifically for this restaurant and the food wasn’t up to par with the price point and hype attached to this restaurant. If your looking for amazing pre fix menu go to Canis restaurant - same price point and the portions are satisfying!

We had a stellar experience. The food was so complex in flavour and so imaginatively and beautifully presented. Each course was simply an exquisite little gift. The Pearl Morrisette Chardonnay was possibly the best white I have ever tasted. But the best best part was the staff; never pretentious but supremely knowledgeable, warm and welcoming but never imposing, always with the most beautiful smiles. A superb experience. Lucky me. G M

Beautiful venue. It definitely has been hyped up to be amazing. It fell short for my group. Food was just okay. Not a place I would drop $325 a couple again.

A good choice for a special occasion! It is a whole experience beyond simply good food.

The food was good but not outstanding. Also, if you aren’t a person who loves fish, you will likely be a bit disappointed. It would be nice if there was at least 2 different tasting menus to choose from. There are no cocktails available, which is a bit of a let down. The service was impeccable, and the venue is very nice. Overall it was good, and definitely something to experience once, but I wouldn’t go back again.

Exceptional experience overall.

Our experience at Pearl Morissette was positive overall. The pre-visit confirmation call was welcoming and informative. Once on site, the restaurant was warm and inviting. The service staff were pleasant and friendly and service was good. Due to a shellfish allergy I chose a no-seafood option. The restaurant handled it successfully and I avoided illness. My husband ate from the regular menu. Food options overall were good with a lot of vegetables and fish dishes. I was craving protein and a beef/steak dish was delivered to our table but it was so chewy it was inedible. A disappointment. We chose to have the wine pairings with our meals. The wines were fine but overall none of the pairings enhanced the dishes they were paired with. A bit of a disappointment as well. We enjoyed our experience at Pearl Morissette especially the tartlet and ice cream but we won't be returning.

Way over rated. Best new restaurant in Canada? I feel sorry for Canada.

Service was impeccable. From presentation to taste food was beyond expectations. Everything from presentation to the order in which food was served, totally amazing. We went for lunch and left feeling this place does live up to all the reviews and more. We can’t wait to have dinner with wine pairing next time for a total experience.

A wonderful dining experience. We enjoyed the creative menu and ingredients. The wine pairing was good except for their own wine. The two guys in our group were still hungry at the end of the meal. The portions are small. The ambiance was great and lots of space between tables for private conversations.

Dining at Pearl Morissette was a lovely experience. The dining area is sparse, but inviting and well decorated. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. A huge thank you to Martin for providing excellent service and a unique wine pairing with Pearl Morissette wines. Our night was unforgettable. He took very good care of us. The food is very seafood forward, but unique and imaginative. We can’t wait to come back soon!

Culinary artists, excellent staff, visually pleasing room with soft music gently adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere. You are meant to savour not only the amazing flavours but also the warm yet professional attention. Trust them - they have a culinary vision and they are achieving it!

Class Act! We moved from the UK 13 years ago and this was the best Canadian dining experience yet(by far). Niagara restaurants - Watch Out! There is nothing in the Niagara region to compare with this. Here is a TEAM at work. Everyone is on the same page and there is a team leader (most important). From arrival to departure, we felt comfortable not only with the service but also with the food and drink. Everything ran like clockwork. Nobody missed a line. As they say, knowledge is everything, and everybody knew their stuff. As the menu changes for every sitting, it was clear that nothing had been left to chance. The food and wine were a delight. And, to round it off, the knock out punch - no tipping required!
We will be back!

Great experience doing the blind tasting menu. Everything and everyone was fabulous.

We were fortunate to dine here on the occasion of my 60th birthday. Food was presented at a moderate pace, 10 courses in all. We never felt rushed, the explanations of what we were eating were thorough and helped us understand the chef's choices.

We were offered the option of stating our dislikes prior to the meal but chose to see what developed. Not a real lover of seafood I was dismayed when the first three offerings were seafood. One of my companions loved all three, I loved one, tolerated another and didn't care for the third. To be fair, the flavors were great, it is a texture issue for me. Give it a chance though, you are unlikely to have such inventive food elsewhere in the area.

Not an inexpensive meal BUT, we will certainly be back as reservation availability and budget allows.

Recently celebrated our Anniversary. It was a fabulous dining experience. Superb service, with a wonderful focus on sustainability. Extremely accommodating to my dietary restrictions. We can't wait to return.

Exceptional! Attention to detail was superb. Loved how we essentially met everyone on the team from front to back of house, so friendly and welcoming! Food and wine pairing was phenomenal. Absolutely worth it. Can't wait to return in the warmer months ahead to enjoy PM in all it's beauty.

Truly an amazing experience, through and through

This was a great experience. I took a risk in not disclosing that I dislike shellfish because the first 3 dishes had shellfish in them, but they were nicely prepared and did not bother me. In fact, they were good tasting. Loved the goose and the wine pairings the most. Great service.

A superb dining experience all around. A beautiful room, extremely attentive and knowledgeable service, and very creatively prepared and presented food. One of the most enjoyable meals I've had in years. As a bonus ... there is no tipping! Presumably, service charges are included in the menu price, which is an excellent arrangement, and makes settling the bill (almost) a pleasure.

We absolutely loved the entire dining experience at The Restaurant at Pearl Morrisette. The location is unique, the dining space is beautiful. The staff is exceedingly well trained and knowledgeable. The chefs create delicious, inventive and gorgeous small plates. The menu apparently changes almost weekly and is fresh, local driven. The wine pairings were inspired. There was not a wrong note. We will certainly go again and again even thought it is not a local restaurant for us. Thanks Pearl Morrisette!

The food was delicious and the experience was an adventure! A fun experience and our first blind tasting. The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful!
I have some food allergies and they accommodated them.
The wine pairing was a real treat!

Might seem redundant with all of the five star reviews? I’ll just say this was one of the top dining experiences in our twenty years together dining around the globe. If Michelin weren’t too snooty for Canada, you’d be looking at a star here. We’ve dined in Michelin star restaurants and thus experience was easily on par if not superior.

A first for us - while savouring the seared goose breast and confit, we actually forgot each other was there and were lost in the sensory joy of the moment. Thank you Chefs and servers for making our 14th anniversary a most memorable one. You deserve all the praise being heaped upon you.

Individual portions are small and so incredible you want more but at the end of the meal you are very satisfied and full. Incredible flavours, very appealing and delivered by a chef who details the dish. Delectable!!!!
