The food seemed to have been prepared hours ahead and left under a heat lamp. Menu items weren't available...blueberry pancakes. The waiter wiped his nose with hand multiples times. Overall, disgusting and not worth $100 for 4 people

We trusted this establishment yesterday with our Thanksgiving dinner. For $44 each we were presented with a plate that looked like it came out of a cafeteria or a low scale diner. The turkey consisted of 75% dark meat, some of which was so overcooked it was in edible. The entire plate was drenched and greasy gravy, including the vegetables and the sweet potatoes were undercooked. To add insult to injury we attempted to order a side of mashed potatoes, but Ron informed that we could not do that because we were ordering from the Thanksgiving menu even though when we were seated, we were handed a regular menu and an option to order off the Thanksgiving menu. We’re still trying to figure out that rationale.

Had Thanksgiving lunch. Wedge salad was delicious, traditional turkey and sides were great . Only miss for us was the Brussels sprouts but the dressing everything else was spot on. We all had pumpkin breast pudding for dessert. Server was great. Appreciate a place close to Central Park for tired people after parade. Pricey but not compared to other places for holiday meal.

Sadly, we didn’t love it. Servers were very nice. Ambiance great. Not too loud. But food was lame. Buffalo Cauliflower came out barely warm and soggy. Waiter was nice to exchange. Calamari were tiny pieces and not that tasty. Salad was beyond plain and had no real presentation. And finally the burger was not hot. Barely warm. Bun not even toasted at all. I was really there to catch up with a friend so that was positive. I’ve been here before and really wanted to come back for the cauliflower app and burger. Sadl, I will never come back. There’s just too many other good and great places near by.

It’s a really nice sports bar with better than good food. Not that there’s anything wrong with that I just wasn’t expecting it. And that’s totally on me. The service was fast and polite We had our appetizers quickly main course came to us hot and very good. The cauliflower appetizer was a treat I tried the short ribs, which were delicious and tender. Pork chop was good, grilled and moist. Swordfish was flavorful and delicious. For dessert, the churros were first rate.. Thumbs up.

Lovely gem near Strawberry Fields. Nice food and decent portions. Lovely service by Chris. Not too noisy yet great playlist, excellent for lunch. Only con was that they not offer gluten free bread.

Food was great, presented very nicely and cooked to perfection. The service was less than enjoyable. We ordered drinks and one of the drinks came out wrong, a female ordered a glass of wine (which the 4 others at the table heard clearly) and the server brought out a cocktail. When telling the server about the issue, he insisted that the female was incorrect and was visibly rude. At the end of the night the drink that was wrong and the new glass of wine were both on the bill instead of not charging for the mistake on his end. The attitude and overall satisfaction of the service was reflected in the tip and it definitely lead to an unpleasant experience even when the food and ambiance were lovely.

The food was great. The service wasn’t very attentive. We didn’t have any side plates. Our table was dark and no candles. We asked for a candle it took 20 minutes as the waiter forgot. Towards the end of the dinner, we had to ask for a dessert menu as our waiter left to go home and no one took over her patrons. All in all the food was good and we wen to meet a friend for dinner.

Went on a Saturday night, so it was hopping. Had the steak with mushrooms. Great! My partner had the Roast Chicken with Mushrooms. Also great. Topped off with a chocolate dessert. Add an outstanding Bourbon Smash cocktail. Our server was an old pro. Very consistent with his taking care of us.

We used to love The Ribbon. We hadn’t been there in a while and this visit was disappointing. The service as usual was very good. But the medium steak was over cooked. The salmon wasn’t only bland, it’s notably overpriced. A small piece of salmon with no vegetables, no potatoes, no anything, at $36 is high by any standard, and by the standards of the neighborhood makes no sense at all. The brussels sprouts and ice cream sundae were great.

We were there for a Sunday brunch. We had reservations and were seated right away which was a good thing since the restaurant was packed. My partner and I split the chicken pancake and the salmon benedict. Good and ample hollandaise on the benedict. Pancake was a surprise (maybe I didn't read the menu closely). It was a large piece of boneless fried chicken served on top of a fat pancake. The pancake was not very tasty and was a little dry. The chicken was good. Overall, a good brunch experience.

Had dinner for 8 and they gave us a private room with a big round table. Totally unexpected but very much appreciated. Food and service was fantastic. Our wait staff was friendly and very attentive with such a large group. Fride Chicken, dressed eggs, salads...everything we ordered was awesome. This is my second time at the Ribbon, and it won't be my least. Also, a great bar area for drinks and apps, TV's and plenty of room.

Good food, decent portions and good service. Only complaint was that the waiter did not bring the dessert we ordered and we ended up having to leave without it. If it were busy, we would’ve assumed they were slammed with orders but the restaurant wasn’t busy at all.

I went here with my boyfriend for restaurant week and we were sat down in the back of the restaurant where only a couple other people were sitting. It took the staff at least 10 minutes to get our water after we sat down and then another 10 minutes for us to ask for our waiter so we could order our food. We only saw our waiter those two times before we ended up getting our food to go because an hour had gone by and we just got our appetizers. Food was pretty good, but service was not good considering the place was not that busy.

A 2nd server took out credit card, returned with the receipt but them "went to the bathroom" still holding our credit card. Sounds fishy to me... Food was also not up to normal standards as we've had before, soggy fries and calamari mixed with fried pickles?

The slightly overcooked entree’s were overshadowed by the restaurant ignoring local law that forbids comfort dogs from indoor dining areas. During the evening meal several dogs were allowed in and one unleashed beast wandered over to our table and nosed at my plate!! The place should abide by the law or lose its license.

We were sat way in the back where there were literally no other customers. So, it was quiet but it felt like a ghost town. Really unpleasant. I think the waiter forgot we were there. Food was flavorless and overcooked and slow.

The service is always good here. The food is excellent every time. We had the pork chop and the Ribbon steak with fries. I love the shoestring fries. We also had the fried oyster deviled eggs. So good! The steak is very good. Cooked perfectly. I think it could use just a touch more seasoning but I'd still get it as is. I've had the tagliatelle pasta with chicken before and it blew me away with flavor and how it was prepared. Can't recommend this place enough!

I ordered the short-rib, at the recommendation of the server. It was nothing special, the brussel sprouts were over cooked and the potatoes were bland. The cocktails were good and the service as average.

I've had many good experiences at the Ribbon throughout the years, and was therefore not expecting the bad experience of last night. The oysters were horrendous -- tasting like milk, and at $3.25 per oyster, where would they have been from? A pork sandwhich was just as balnd, the fries looked to be frozen and not fresh cut; the beer list is awful -- no craft beers at all; the shrimp -- absolutely awful -- small, translucent and slimey. The brussel srpout app was way undercooked. The overall impression was that no one is minding the store and quality control has fallen off of a cliff. No one seems to care -- felt like eating at a bad mall restaurant. Unpleasant and disinterested staff as well. Won't go back.
