This place has a pleasant, laid-back atmosphere. The setting is bright and minimalist, with lots of natural light. The food was very tasty -- we had their eggs benedict on the special bread. We could have used a bit more hollandaise sauce for the potatoes, which were too plentiful on the plate. The service was good. We will come back and we will recommend this to friends. Only downside is parking: very challenging in that neighborhood.
Second time here and the food was still amazing. Squid ink pasta is a must. Pork belly was amazing. Value is superb for the quality and uniqueness of the food, keep up the great work you guys!!
Server was great, very well informed. Made the dinner enjoyable. Food was great. Nice quiet place to eat
Had an amazing experience at The Rise Eatery - every dish was better than the next, and Jaron gave amazing recommendations/delivered top service!
Almost the first few group entering the restaurant and we ordered 3 dishes plus the signature dessert wheel. They took almost 1.5hours to serve us all
3 dishes and finally The waitress told us that out desserts were no where to be seen so that had to be cancelled. I don’t know how that could happen because some other later groups finished their meals before we did. I ft sorry for my friend who when with me because it was her birthday.
Food was pretty good, but the steak portion was pretty small. I liked the vege bowl that was recommended by the server. We wanted to have hot sake but they only had cold ones. The one that bartender recommended was alright, 12$ for one glass. Not impressed. Overall service was ok but it was just really slow. I visited to have the wheel dessert, it is worth experiencing, won’t order it again though. The quality is a bit underwhelming compared to the price: 35$ for 8 bite-sized desserts. I think I might go back for food, not for drinks/dessert.
We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. Original menu with innovations on classic brunch standards Definitely will be back, maybe for lunch this time.
Creative menu with lots of choices for vegetarians as well as meat-eaters. And reasonably priced. It was a great venue for our lunch business meeting!
I love everything about this place. They are doing an awesome job! way to go.....
The food is outstanding and the names of the dishes are quite splendid. The Obama lamba was tender and delicious, as were the heart-attack chicken and the cured trout dish. Thank you again for feeding us royally!
Great little place. We came here for brunch. Service by Jaron was amazing. Food was good. Will come back again.
Casual brunch location with unique takes on regular dishes. Waiting time between ordering, drinks, and food was a bit excessive.
Good service,good food . Good,good good,very good aaaaaaaaaa
Food was good and service was friendly. My main complaint would be that it took forever before the food came out and the restaurant was only half full. From time of ordering to the arrival of food was just over 30 mins. That said, when the food came, it was still good.
The food & drinks at this place, simply amazing! The portions were perfect & flavorful. Definitely going back to this restaurant.
Appies were a good size to share. Main share dishes were small. The Uni-versal pasta was our favourite.
the food is very good lots of options and great service
Always a crowd favourite with us. We come here to celebrate occasions and also 'just because'.
Brought another newbie diner and she loved it too.
Barack o'Lamba (don't you just love the names) was so delicious! Chicken Seoul Good is a must. Heart attack rice is awesome too.
Only one disappointment was that Pot of Gold wasn't available anymore.
Delicious dinner celebrating my daughters birthday with her friends. The dessert canvas was so much fun for them. Must tries are the squid ink pasta with sea urchin and the TORTELLINI OUTRAGEOUS and Barrack O’Lamba
Great service.! Good happy hour selections.
Amazing brunch with family. We will definitely come back for their other menus and desserts.
Great food and a great experience!
Love this neighborhood gem. Food and drinks are always delicious. Can't go wrong with any menu item!!
We love it
The food was unique and loved the options of not only food but beverages too. I wish there was more options for dessert. The happy hour was 3 to 5 which also was too bad. Would love to see more people in there as it's a good spot
The food was innovative but the quality could better. Loved the ambiance and the service.
My first time visit. The patio was small but quiet and a large umbrella was provided for shade. Meal was excellent, but for me the stand out was the cappucino at the end!! Thanks - we'll be back.
Charging $1 for a slice of lemon and $3 for a little Hollandaise is ridiculous
Parking is a problem
friendly waiter/waitress - Service is good
I like the coffee and the renaissance dish
Had a lovely dinner at The Rise. Wonderful, creative food and terrific service. Love the connection to the Arts Club Theatre.
Hi WandaC, Thank you for your review. We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your experience and can't wait for you to return and try our new summer menu.
We enjoyed the outdoor patio. Menu varied and unique - a few select meat, vegan and vegetarian choices. Included small serving of sorbet. Excellent and personable service. We will definitely return.
Very imaginative tasty tapas. Great service. Some dishes were a bit small and over priced for the portions other than that had a great meal.
We had tickets to the Arts Club.
Seating was ready. server was prompt and friendly. Kitchen was slow. Ordered 3 course set meal. We received 2nd course at 7:10. Asked for dessert and bill. Out at 7:20. Very rushed.
Very good food. Innovative, fresh and well cooked. The only disappointment was the heart attack rice which lacked a USP. Chicken Seoul Good, squash dish, pork belly and salad were all fantastic.
Service started well but seemed to evaporate when we wanted the cheque.
Very few diners on a Tuesday evening so it lacked some atmosphere but I expect this would be good at busier times.
Great food, but the place was empty. I wonder why really, the food is amazing there. Different without being just original for the sake of it. SOme daring dishes, other more classic, all very well crafted,
We had 7 dishes all were very good. Highly recommended.
Food was very good, but it took approximately 40 mins before our food came. The service was very good!
Very much enjoyed the overall experience; great asian-fusion twist on their dishes. Service is attentive and all the staff were super-friendly. 5-Stars!!
I would recommend The Rise based on the flavours of a few of the dishes we tried provided there were no other time related commitments. Drink and food service was somewhat slower than other tapas style restaurants but the meals were very nice
It was our first visit to The Rise Eatery. It was wonderful. The Pseudo Crudo was delicious and don’t tell Mary, lamb popsicles were among the best I have ever tasted. My husband’s scallops and his flat iron steak were outstanding. We were served by charming Jaron.it was indeed a memorable experience. We shall return and we shall recommend it to all our friends. It was very reasonably priced and the naming of the dishes on the menu was delightful
