Food was good. Service was mediocre at best. We arrived 30min early to get a drink at the bar and enjoy the atmosphere. 20min later, the host told us our table was ready. 4min later (while we were still waiting for our check from the bartender), they came over again to say that we really needed to get to our table . I said that we were aware because someone had just been there four minutes earlier. The gentleman said he was not aware that someone had already told us, but that we needed to hurry, because our table is ready. It was very rude. It’s not like we were standing there doing nothing. We were spending money and their bar. We were taken to a table in the way back, in a completely separate room. I had put that it was our anniversary when making the reservation. This room was not a romantic or special. our server didn’t introduce herself nor do anything to make the experience special. She just kept asking if we were ready to order. She didn’t offer any suggestions or specials. She didn’t ask if we had dined there before or if we needed help with the menu. she didn’t come over and try to pour wine for us out of the bottle that we ordered. It was a very odd experience.

We took my mother for her 91st birthday. my request was I wanted her to feel special. They went above and beyond and even got her a card and the staff signed it! I love this Restaurant so much, and Tori, who took care of us❤️🎉 the food is excellent, atmosphere amazing!

Good experience but had to wait too long for our reservation. We waited, along with 4 other parties, for about 30 minutes after our reservation time. The staff apologized but that was the only offering for a 30 minute wait. I had the halibut and crab. It was good though the halibut was slightly over cooked. .Service was great.

Everything about the River House was amazing. We were celebrating our anniversary and they sprinkled the table when they sat us with Happy Anniversary things and then had a hand written card at the end of the meal signed by the staff. Very thoughtful! The steak was cooked perfectly. The whipped potatoes were so wonderful! Ashley was our server and she was very attentive and made sure our evening was perfect.

I am a single diner on business. The server, Olivia, treated me like I was her only customer. The food was outstanding and her recommendations on point. I am a gimlet drinker, a drink often butchered, but theirs was on point. I travel to Nashville on occasion to work out of my companies offices here and this will be a place I come back to.

Warning! This is not “fine dining”, this is overpriced “Ruth Chris’” (no offence to Ruth Chris’) 😅. Save your money and go to some corporate steakhouse chain. Felt like eating a $10 prime rib somewhere off the Vegas strip. They don’t know what medium rare is, our $60 beef Wellington came out grey and we waited over an hour to order at our table. This may be the only place you can go to in Nashville and not receive Southern hospitality. We had a humiliating experience on our honeymoon due to the incompetent staff and gift card system.

I have been to River House a few times for dinner, brunch and a private event. It has never disappointed me! I took a friend for her first visit last night. We started with a Greek salad and shared the halibut and a filet. Everything was exceptionally good! She was so impressed and that is not easy for her. Definitely my go to restaurant in Nashville!

My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience! Shout out to Madalyn, our server. She was warm and friendly and gave us great cocktail and entree recommendations. The parmesean crusted halibut, and Hong Kong crusted sea bass was delicious. The loaded whipped potatoes were the best we ever had. We definitely will return. You absolutely pay for what you get here. Great food and service!

the calamari appetizer was not good, over fried and chewy, we ordered the shrimp and they were delicious. My wagyu steak was delicious, but the prime rib my husband ordered was so-so, the roast potato was good, but my wedge salad didn't feel so fresh. Some things were good but others mediocre. The attention very good. Maybe I have to try other things
