   The menu is standard fare steaks and seafood, but everything we had was excellently prepared and delicious including steak tartare, shrimp cocktail, ribeye, Parmesan crusted halibt, Hing Kong sea bass, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts. Love that the ambience allows quiet table talk even with high ceilings. Excellent service. Expensive but great.

   Upstairs is a little quieter. It is our favorite restaurant for date night.   A very classy place. Appreciate the valet parking on what would otherwise be a very busy street. Excellent chefs, they know how to cook seafood.  Good wine selection by the glass.

   The River House is a fantastic addition to downtown Nashville, and incredibly convenient for pre-show dining at Bridgestone, the Ryman, or the Schermerhorn directly across the street. Pro-tip... Valet and they will keep your car all evening.

    We made reservations and we were seating immediately. The server was amazing and my warm butter crab sushi was delicious. We also ordered the aged prime rib and it melted in your mouth. Highly recommend the River House.

    This was a before theatre dinner for two. We were seated promptly at a table of our choice. The server knew from our reservation that we needed to finish the meal at a certain time. The service was excellent throughout and we were able to make the show on time. We had the Caesar's salad for two, which was prepared table side and both the show and the resulting salad were excellent. We also ordered the 8 ounce fillet which was cooked at perfection. Completed the dinner with Espresso one of the best this side of Italy. Thank you we shall return often as we have season tickets at the Nashville Philharmonic and other shows in the vicinity.     Great place for an anniversary. Food was really good and the server was fun and didn’t rush us at all. Caesar salad table side was a must. Waygu and sea bass both cooked to perfection.

    My husband and I enjoyed a nice quiet dinner here on a week night. We loved the tableside ceasar salad preparation. The food and service were excellent and it was such a nice change of pace for Nashville to find a quiet place to have a nice dinner. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

    Excellent place to eat. All of the food was amazing, dry aged ribeye was superb, sushi was delicious, and prime rib was cooked perfectly. The setting was quiet but they are family friendly and our daughter enjoyed the Mac & cheese.

    It was our first time eating at River House. When we arrived we found out that they had a limited brunch menu for Mother’s day. At first I was disappointed that they didn’t have the full brunch menu that was listed online. My husband and I ordered the steak and eggs and the French toast. Both were excellent. We also drank the margaritas which were very good as well. We were very pleased with the quality of the food and drinks. We would definitely recommend the food. The atmosphere was good, not great. We were sat in the back of the restaurant. Would have preferred to sit where there was more to see. Overall we had a good experience.

    Service was great, only thing I would ask is if you have a limited menu for that day post/notify the guest so they don’t have their mind on something or have a certain expectation of what is being offered due to menu altering.

    It was the best meal we’ve ever had in Nashville. The Halibut and Sea Bass were so good. There is a nice large bar and location is great. It’s definitely high end from a price standpoint, but we’ll worth it. Highly recommend this restaurant.

    The River House is one of my favorite Nashville restaurants. Delicious drinks and sushi. It’s not even a sushi restaurant. They have like 10 potato side dishes. Not crowded. Don’t hesitate to make a reservation.

    In town for Taylor Swift concert. We had a weather delay so hung out much longer than expected. Our server, Sam, was amazing. He was so fun and so kind. The food was delicious. We will definitely be back!

    Who knew? Outstanding fish in middle America. Obviously the airlines can get it there and this restaurant knows how to prepare it! Excellent meal. I had what was probably THE best halibut I’ve ever had. Simply prepared sous vide then oven roasted and pan finished. Served with an outstanding buerre blanc. Well done River House.     I visit every week for business lunches. Our office is nearby. Food is consistently great. Service is excellent-waitstaff is friendly and efficient. Ambiance is perfect for a business lunch meeting. A keeper in my downtown lunch plans.
