Beautiful to eat here as the sun is setting. They do some unique wines and we were pleased with what we tried. Even took some home. Cesaer salad was good but could use more garlic. Short ribs we're delicious and the turtle cake was fantastic. Staff/owners were great. Definitely going back
Quiet place, nice for a romantic dinner. Service was top notch, servers very helpful
One of our stops on a self-guided winery tour. The food was delicious, the red wines were very tasty, the staff was super friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed.
Would highly recommend for anyone looking for causal dining, good food & reasonable cost.
Harbour Estates Winery does not disappoint! The food is absolutely fantastic! I've been for Ribs night a few times and it has been outstanding every time. Get the baked brie. You will not regret it! The patio is lovely and the service it great.
Wonderful food and lovely setting....I would recommend to anyone
Thank-you for the hospitality. As usual, we really enjoyed our visit to your winery.
Great food, awesome staff, wonderful atmosphere. Never had a bad experience here! 10/10 would recommend. Can’t wait to go back!
We made reservation went there on time, there were many empty tables, but they gave us a table near the front entrance. The bottle water had a fly in it, service was pretty slow. Food was ok but didn’t enjoy it at all.
Amazing food and wine! Staff is so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back
We have now visited the winery 4 times - twice for tastings, once for dinner, once for lunch and had a great experience each time. Service was great and the food was great. And if you have time, take a walk in the vineyard as it winds its way to Jordan Harbour. Highly recommend stopping in next time you are in the Jordan Station area.
Great service was provided. The Friday night special of bbq ribs and chicken was excellent with a background of Guess Who music. Great value and the wines we tried with dinner were suitable and great value.
Good food, fair prices and nice spot. Service was great.
Went for patio lunch on Sunday afternoon. Due to traffic we arrived 30 minutes late but no problem accommodating us (we did call ahead). Family run winery with attentive service. Food was excellent and portions good. My wife did not like the wine she first ordered (unfamiliar with their lineup) but changing to something more suitable was not a problem. Definitely will return again. Not as picturesque as some of the larger wineries but great vale, service and food.
We drove from Aurora to have a Romantic weekend getaway in Niagara and this was our first stop. We had reserved a wine tasting and were starving so intended on ordering food here as well. We just about walked inside the winery before being met at the door and told to stand outside and wait. We were then walked over to a plastic picnic table by the vineyard (horrible view, I was facing all the clutter they had against the side of the building). Our server never came back. At all. My boyfriend and I sat there for 20 minutes and no one came to check on us. We decided to leave and it wasn’t until muchhh later that our waiter called me on my cell to say he had JUST noticed we were gone and wanted to apologize. Horrible experience.
What a lovely experience for a Saturday afternoon. Enjoyed our walk to the harbour after our great lunch.
Delicious food and nice people would recommend it for causal dining
Great patio! Enjoyed our experience.
We enjoyed the ambiance and the outdoor patio. The food was very good and service was exceptional.
The food was mediocre and the wine was not memorable. Glad to have visited but will most likely not return.
Pleasantly surprised by this place. Service was good! Perfect place to stop on the way to Niagara.
Great food and good wine. First time visiting will go back.
Great lunch selections. Our server was super nice and easy going. It was extremely hot so it was uncomfortable on the patio even in the shade but no fault of Harbour estates obviously given it was 40 with the humidex.
Enjoyed the cheese plate & salads and their wine spritzer is so refreshing on a hot day.
We will be back!
The picnic area was very nice. The trail to the harbour was nice break from lunch to see a great view. The food was good and the pinot grigio was a very nice wine on a hot day.
Great food, great place, great wine! What more do you need?
Great food and wine in a beautiful and peaceful vineyard view.
Julie our server was very patient with us, as it took a while for us to make our choices.. we were not rushed at all. The food was delicious! The portions were large. Service was excellent!
Dining patio facing a gravel parking lot isn’t the winery experience we were looking for and to add to it there was a loud noise of someone cutting grass on a tractor next to the patio. Not charming at all. They could have easily done this before opening up for customers. Food is pretty well described by other negative comments. Another couple was complaining about their food next to our table. We paid the bill and gave a good tip to our waitress. As we left the waitress stood by us without a goodbye or a thank you. Another waitress that didn’t serve us had the cutesy to say thank you for our visit. I should have paid attention to the less favourable reviews prior to booking.
We moved on to another winery and had a wonderful experience.
Get food and options. Quiet patio, beautiful views of the vineyard. Loved the drink options!
I can’t put into words how great an experience visiting Harbour Estates was. It was the perfect way to end our trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Cassie was so kind and wonderful. Delicious wine and cheese. Beautiful grounds. Would recommend to everyone and will definitely return next time I am in the area. 10/10!!
The place is nice, the service needs to improve, for example, I booked a table on Saturday at 6:30pm, and they put us at a table with direct sun on my face, so I asked to change the table and the attendant said there was no way change tables. So, feeling uncomfortable with the sun, I asked another attendant to change tables and I was promptly assisted. I ordered a bottle of wine and waitress brought me the bottle already opened, usually the waiter opens the cork of the wine bottle in front of the customer, so I thought it was strange that the bottle had already been opened. The menu is limited on Saturdays as well as the opening hours for dinner.
Good family oriented atmosphere. Smaller vineyard with limited options to do while waiting.
Best food in wine country! Best wine too! Order the white pizza, blue cheeseburger & the ice wine ice cream. Best experience yet! Loved it all and the owners were great. We will be back soon! Thank you Harbour Estates!
We came today for our anniversary lunch. Very excited because we never get out nowadays. I have Been here before (last summer) and felt really taken care of. However, today was a much different experience.
I’m pregnant so I couldn’t drink wine, however we were there for both appetizers and meals. Cheese plate was great, our server was friendly. When our mains came my partner bit into his and had a bit of a reaction to the ingredients. We asked nicely if we could just switch it out (still pay) and he could just get what I have. Server said no problem and took the plate. Then a manager came out and said they closed the kitchen early (3:30 when it says 4 online) and couldn’t make anything else so she would have to bring back out the old meal and couldn’t do anything else. So she did but we didn’t touch it (covid and because it presented a clear allergy). So he had some of mine and that was that. When we received the bill we were charged full price for everything (which I expected) we paid, tipped and left. I’m never returning again, and will ensure no friends or family do as well. Super disappointed in the general attitude towards us. I get that things aren’t easy right now but bursting out at us and saying you can’t do anything and returning his plate is not the solution. I hope you, lady, have some better days coming. Xoxo
Great place great people and the wine is great. Recommend rose pizza
Skip if you can.
The staff is cluelessly cheerful. That's the only positive thing about the restaurant.
Our first warning was when on Saturday night in a winery we have been told: "There is NO WINE TASTING - just a buy a bottle that we recommend". Again: No wine tasting in a winery. We had to buy wine by full glasses and then split it among the group.
The meal - was abhorrent.
"Everything salad" came straight from MacDonald.
"Baked Brie" is a huge cheap cheese with LOTS of jam on it.
"Bruschetta" just floats in cheap balsamic vinegar.
"Chicken Parm" is a piece of frozen, heavy breaded chicken breast (I swear frozen section in No Frills has better quality) with some pasta with sauce straight from Ragu can.
"Meat dish" uses salt as a main ingredient and has some mashed potatoes that taste like they are made from instant mix on a side.
And the view you get is a gravel parking lot.
I'm sorry that your experience at the winery was not up to your expectations. Saturday night is the only time we do not offer wine tastings.. I'm not sure what hardship it was to share the wine with your wife, as your two children were not part of drinking wine, but I apologize for that. I am surprised at your food comments, as you told me, and your wife and children all told me that you were enjoying the food. I am sorry that you went away with the opinion to skip us if you can.
Friday night ribs were amazing paired with the Baco Noir.
Highly recommend. We will definitely be coming back.
Delicious chicken wrap and potato salad..fresh and great value
Doing a last minute search for a Niagara day trip over the long weekend, we saw that Harbour Estates (HEW) offered - along with indoor and patio seating - the option to book a picnic table further along on their estate near the water. We ordered a cheese board, grapes & a bottle of wine which was ready for pick up and we drove the road to the picnic area. It was a beautiful day, idyllic setting, and the cheese board (box) was very generous and perfect for two people. The only issue was that the process to book online wasn't straightforward - there's no "picnic" option listed, so you reserve for "outdoor" and then go back to order food through a separate link. However, HEW service was great - they called us very soon after the booking to confirm.
Excellent service, food and location. Great place to go and their Sunset Rose was good. Forgot to pick it up at the store will be dropping by again.
