   We had an outstanding experience with our server Kaileigh both nights we ate at the Royal. Her level of service was impeccable. One slight thing that bothered us was the amount of oil on the plate of trout which we found to be excessive .

   It was lovely. We sat outside. We ordered a fancy zero alcohol drink and stoned fired pizza. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very upscale.

   Things seemed to take a little longer this time. Even though a manager came to take our drink orders - it seemed he didn't relay that to anyone. Then after waiting for more than 20 minutes at the end of our meal for the bill, we had to ask twice to get it. Food was good, and everyone was helpful, just couldn't figure out what happened at the end when we couldn't get our bill. We weren't in a hurry - but it felt like someone missed getting that last step.

   The Royal Hotel restaurant is an amazing experience. They have it all ; great food, good service and a great setting. A real gem and a good reason to drive to Picton.

    Really enjoyed the fresh pasta and pizza we tried. The seafood was very fresh and nicely cooked. The flavour combinations were unique and exceptional. A very positive experience.

    This was my third time eating at The Royal, and it did not disappoint yet again. The service could’ve been a little bit quicker and more attentive,, but they were understandably busy with it being Victoria day. I will always recommend The Royal for people visiting Prince Edward County.

    Absolutely beautiful location both outside and inside the hotel. Dining room was very lovely and it was fun to watch the kitchen cook while enjoying our drinks. Brunch was incredible, all the food was very tasty, hot and presented beautifully. The Service was good and would definitely come back to try the lunch or dinner menu.

    This place is incredibly overpriced. The quality of the food is OK, but the portion size is ridiculously small. We spent almost $400 on dinner and drinks and we were still hungry. The dinner mains are the size of an appetizer. The cocktails were also so disappointing. The were $18 each and none of us enjoyed them. I do not recommend this place and we will not be returning.

    Absolutely gorgeous inside. Almost makes you think you are at resort. Beautiful garden and outdoor patio space. The best pancakes I've ever had, amazing espresso and brunch menu- everything tasted perfect. Fair prices, staff were knowledgeable and accommodating. Just overall an amazing way to end our weekend in PEC. Can't wait to come back for dinner in the future.

    The hotel is beautiful. The dining room is also really beautiful and high energy but a little noisy . Not intimate. The service was friendly and efficient. Was there for brunch on a Saturday . Food was good but fairly plain with a limited size of menu. A bit pricey .

    Our party of 3 waited almost an hour for our dinner mains. While one dish was delicious, the other 2 were a bit salty. Beautiful restaurant, but you pay a lot for what it is.

    It is great to be in what is clearly a successful and well-run restaurant. Post COVID, many restaurants have struggled to regain their standards, clientele and menus. The Royal's restaurant has a well thought-out menu that appeals to many and a broad cross section. Pizza, 'burgers & pasta for the many who want that and a bunch of extra higher end items that may appeal to those prepared to spend a bit more - something for everyone. We were there on a weeknight in May and the place was hopping. Malpeque oysters were absolutely fresh and quite delicious. A Spring greens pasta beautifully prepared but a touch too 'al dente' for my taste. Finally steak frites that was first rate. The service was excellent, friendly and the place radiated warmth and knowledge. Bravo! We will be back.

    The Royal is a beautiful place in The County. I’ve enjoyed two dinners and one brunch in the past and am always looking forward to my next visit. I had dinner this week and quickly felt like things had changed. The menu seemed a bit confusing. Meatballs, Burgers and pizza? An ungarnished cocktail in a too-tall glass and a plastic straw? They were also very clearly experiencing some staff shortages and while our server was friendly and helpful, we felt that overall, the new hires needed more support and training. I don’t mind paying high prices for extraordinary service, food and drinks. My experience though, was un-extraordinary. There is one thing I would go back for —- the delicious earl grey icecream!

    We enjoyed a Mother’s Day lunch at The Royal. The food was delicious. The quality of ingredients was excellent. The care taken to present the food was outstanding. I liked that all items on the prix fixe menu were available individually too. The indoor restaurant was quite noisy. I think the seating in the booths is more comfortable than at the tables.

    Our first visit for a birthday dinner. The reception was warm and welcoming, the location is stunning, dinner was excellent. We stayed for a full 3 hours to enjoy drinks, appetizers, mains, dessert and wine. It was a relaxing but luxurious experience. We can’t wait to go back.
