Lovely pub/ restaurant, very cosy. Food was good, reasonably priced. Unfortunately we were not able to sample the Sunday roast as they had switched to the Xmas menu.

My wife and I booked a table in the restaurant at The Saint last night and drove down from Aberdeen to celebrate our daughter’s 19th birthday. We were seated promptly in a comfortable table and our drinks order was taken. If I’m being overly critical, the delay to actually bring our drinks and take and the serve our food order was longer than I would have preferred. However, when it did arrive it was absolutely worth the wait. My wife had the Saint Burger, my daughter had the mac n cheese and I had the beef and ale pie. All 3 dishes were amazing - very tasty and exceptionally generous portions. Thanks to all from the host to the serving staff to the chefs. We will definitely be back.

The employees were attentive, helpful and pleasant, especially the young male waiter who took our order. The place is divided into sections and the atmosphere is calming. The reason I downgraded the food was because I can't eat garlic and it turned out that almost everything on the menu had it as an ingredient. The waiter kindly went to the kitchen to ask about various possible choices, but each one had garlic as an ingredient. I ended up with a chicken sandwich, and couldn't order the soup which would have come with it as part of the same cost, because of the garlic. It's a shame because I have friends who eat at Saints and love it.

Disappointing. Booked for Sunday Roast, but that and several other dishes unavailable. Meals warm rather than hot. Unimpressive service interactions.

Food excellent, service a bit slow, staff friendly. Advised we were bringing a baby in a pram but it was a tight squeeze trying to get the pram to the seating they gave us . Overall good experience.

Would highly recommend We ate from the Xmas menu. Food was delicious, portions very generous. Great choice of drinks and cocktails! Service was faultless, the girls couldn’t do enough for us.

Had to wait too long for everything. Presentation of main course was poor. Waited over an hour for main course. Used this restaurant when it was the Westport for years. This was our sixth visit since it changed hands and to be fair the only one we have been disappointed. We have been with family also. John & Jean Holmes.

The staff were very friendly every time we have been & we have chosen different meals every time & the food has always been nice. We have always eaten in the restaurant but there is also a good bar area which allows dogs

Booked on the day. Place was very busy but it was early Saturday night and service was prompt and friendly. Main courses were nothing special. Good desserts though. Noise level was quite high especially from the table for two behind us. Got better when table was vacated.

We all enjoyed our visit to The Saint. We took our dog too and she was made very welcome too. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed and cosy. Perfect for a weekend stay. Will definitely book again.

Waitress was very welcoming ans attentive. We had to wait 25 mins on our steak pie. Far to salty. Restaurant was pretty quiet . Food was ok but not piping hot. Wine was nice £26 a bottle . We then sat in bar area, that was nice , Christmas decorations .

Had a problem with the order and food but was resolved hense the high ratings on everything else. We were just unlucky when we visited. The stuff, food and atmosphere was exceptional.

Eaten here a handful of times and always worth the visit. Friendly service, yummy food and some quirky seating. Music not too loud either. Only downside - I found it a squeeeeeze getting in into the toilet cubicle (maybe i eat at The Saint too often?! 😳)

Very disappointing- waited 1 hour for average roast dinner - would not return £75 for 3 sub par roasts and very understaffed.

Went back for our 1 year anniversary and had the best time. Staff were so so accommodating with the table and just amazing overall. Really great service and the atmosphere is lovely for a dinner date

Mac n cheese delicious but not hot enough when served. Quickly put right by staff. Drinks took so long to be delivered we had finished our meal- very disappointing bar service 😢

2 issues - 1 items on menu that were vegan were not listed as such, 2 the mushroom bruschetta was far too salty (which detracted from an otherwise nice dish)
