Always good food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere!
We had such a wonderful time at The Savoy for brunch! The holiday decorations were beautiful. The service and food were excellent. We had a such a nice time!
Service was very slow….Atmosphere was fun and dynamic but too dark. Food was super tasty and well prepared but cold. I’d love to try this restaurant again to give it a second chance. I’m guessing they are having a hard time with staffing like many businesses? Spending close to $100 for brunch for cold food that you have to wait an hour for is not super appealing.
The owner very friendly and the waiters very fast and efficient and also friendly. The food is always very delicious! We love this restaurant!
A delightful breakfast despite the impact on staffing due to COVID. Someone in the kitchen clearly excelled at culinary school. My order was artistically presented; the flavours brilliantly paired. The garnishes (fresh fruit) were surprisingly rich and fresh.
If you’re going during cold weather, make sure you’re seated well away from the entrance. Other than the draughty entrance, a shout out to the two servers who showed up!
We enjoyed a great brunch with friends. Expect to see us again in 2022!
We went here specifically for the Christmas Cocktails and were not disappointed. Need another visit or two to try them all. Definitely will go back.
It was just fantastic ! The ambience was great for the holidays !
Our server was Connor and he was amazing! 😊 great service. You can tell everyone has fun working there which helped us enjoy it that much more.
Great variety of food and drinks.
I ordered oysters, moules and frites and calamari.
It was all fresh and delicious!
The Merry Manhattan was awesome!
Great, fun service! Would definitely visit The Savoy again!
Cutest spot around the holidays! Love all the Christmas decor, it’s so fun. I’d come back for buck a shuck on Tuesday. My only critique is I wish they would serve a bit more condiments with the oysters. Great time there :)
The food and service was excellent at The Savoy, as usual. The atmosphere is so warm and festive. I enjoy their holiday menu and specials. My neighbours and I are becoming regulars!
All was good and tasty. Only thing is if you are ordering one of the Benedicts and want soft poached make sure to stress soft as I ordered soft but they were hard!
Still the whole plate was delicious and worth the price.
Such a fun little place full of Christmas spirit for the holidays . The food was amazing - we had the savoy burger with poutine and the chicken club with sweet potato fries . The drinks were festive and fun (even for my 11 year old !!) my favourite was the Poinsettia. Staff were great- very friendly and efficient (and all dressed up festive). 100% recommend.
If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I have never had such terrible service. The hostess was rude, our waiter was extremely rude. Despite being told they were OVER staffed, it took an hour to get our food and 20 mins to get the bill.
Nice holiday menu, good food and service.
I was very impressed with the overall experience. The staff were excellent and very accommodating and the food was great. I also loved the effort that had been made to decorate for the holidays. I will definately return and recommend this restaurant.
Great atmosphere - cozy and inviting. I had a lovely birthday celebration here.
Love the Christmas theme! Would recommend to all my friends
Food taste and presentation was on poin with great ambiance and decor. It seemed understaffed for how busy the place was especially on a Monday night, but the atmosphere was lively and energetic, service warm, charcuterie board put together perfectly, steaks cooked perfectly, and one of the best fried calamari I've ever had
It was a beautiful day, weather wise, and near Christmas, so it was packed and loud. Despite that, our waiter was amazing, as was the food. It was our first time there, and we're definitely going back - and I'm having the same thing (mimosa and poutine matin). So good!
Very noisy and crowded. Proper social distancing was impossible with how close the tables were. Food wasn’t as flavourful as it could have been for the price. Servers were very friendly and prompt though.
Busy spot for brunch.
I was on my way and thought I'd made a reservation even though I was 15 mins late they kept it for us wonderful experience. The portions are definitely small though
Really nice brunch in festive atmosphere-was the perfect spot!
Beautiful Christmas decorations! The food was delicious and very short wait time to get the food. Was a little bit noisy by the time we left as it was quite crowded, but it felt festive.
Made a reservation and when we arrived it was very busy. We didn't get any attention from the waiters and after an hour hadn't even spoken to one and had only gotten a glass of water. Left and went home without getting anything. I understand things may take longer when a restaurant is that busy but being so blatantly ignored was ridiculous. I won't be coming back.
Very fun place for Christmas get together. Great Christmas decorations, staff in their elf and Santa outfits, extensive Christmas cocktail list with fun Santa and Santa pants mugs. Server very attentive and never rushed. All guests found their food was very good and nicely presented. Will be back in the New Year.
Kudos to new chef. Yummy food. Love the dinner and ambiance
Very fun spot for a Christmas brunch! Friendly service and delicious food as well.
Food was very tasty however we did feel quite rushed. Although we had a reservation, we had to wait while they worked out the covid checking (understandable). However, we found that we had to ask for coffee refills and felt rushed during our Sunday brunch. We hadn't been there an hour when the server offered to bring our bill. While that means food was delivered quickly, it did make us feel that we weren't welcome to enjoy a refill. Never did get water refills. The wait to get in wasnt even there when we left so I wasnt sure what was the rush!
Great atmosphere and great service. Good food and good quality at a faire price.
The draw of the Christmas lights and holiday cocktails was what led us to spending our dinner this evening at Savoy - a festive cover-up for an underwhelming meal. The starter of Costco-esque baked brie and a ritz cracker charcuterie did not evoke the french connection you would expect from the country's capital. The cocktails, with festive names like Apple Cider Float and Rum Rum Rudolph, were a major letdown which led us to pay a 400% upcharge for a currently-available LCBO Chablis white wine. The disappointment continued with our main meals: including their holiday special ravioli, which was nothing special and could have done with more salt and pepper; a kale ceasar that had the chewability of carpet; and a steak salad whose meat required a minimum of 45 seconds to cut through each piece. We have to question why one of their signature dishes is a Beef Bourguignon; the dish contained more fat than meat, and really more fat than anything. The rest of the dish was made up of uncooked vegetables that have no place in a Bourguignon, and cold potatoes that cannot be warmed by an equally cold dish. Unsurprisingly, we did not make it to dessert and just asked for the bill. The only redeeming factor of the night was the service provided to us by our waiter whose joyful demeanor and playful conversation served as the highlight of the night. To no one's surprise, we will not be returning to Savoy, nor recommending it to anyone we know who is visiting the city.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, great location. Would recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy quality food at solid value with great ambience!
Great Food, great service, the spot to be especially during the holidays. So festive!
Their holiday cocktail is soooo good. Our server was very polite and patient. The food was good . I just did fries and calamari with fried jalapeño . Very simple.
I’m contrast, The bar server was rude. I was taking a picture with their huge Christmas bear and I took my mask off for two secs for a picture which failed to take . So we took another one . He came to berate me about having my mask off. Although i’m double vaccinated . I was 6 feet away people. And i was just taking a quick picture. Meanwhile I saw other people walking from tables with no mask on. I don’t mind being asked to put my mask on but he talked to me in a condescending way which I didn’t approve.
However our main server was great. He offered to take pictures of us on the sleigh . Provide us with Christmas photo ops. My recommendation go for the Christmas spirit but stay away from the bar server .
Christmas decor is awesome
Beautiful presentation of the food and awesome taste to match. Friendly and attentive team. Overall great food and service!
