    Staff are so attentive and nothing is too Much hassle, did have a slight issue with my mushrooms being too salty but that wasn’t a problem, they were whisked away and a new batch delivered in minutes. That’s what you call service. Food overall was outstanding, tasty and such value for money. First experience of tapas for hubby and he was impressed. Will definitely be back very soon

    Really really lovely first time here, will definitely come back. Food was so delicious, nice wine choice and cocktails. Pleased we had booked, many were turned away and this was early afternoon.

    The booking system was very efficient and kept us informed every step of the way. Our table was ready on our arrival and we made made very welcome. We ordered a selection of tapas, every one delicious. The icing on the quite literal cake, was a complimentary sweet as it was one of our party's birthday. All in all, highly recommended.

    This restaurant is friendly and welcoming, it was easy to relax and enjoy others company here. The decoration is tasteful and homely. This is clearly a family run business which was lovely to see and the interactions were spot on. The food was divine and they hold their own in the tapas industry for sure.

    Relaxed atmosphere. We went for a late-ish lunch so it was fairly quiet. Food was excellent, staff helpful and friendly. I’ve also eaten here on a busy evening and the food quality and service are the same.

    Good choice of tapas, well cooked and presented, with traditional choices alongside some more modern takes. OH had black pudding and chorizo in red wine and honey and was raving about it. Hake was also perfectly cooked and the gambas pil pil were amongst the best I've had. Make sure to order bread to mop up all the last lists of sauce. Staff clearly enjoy working there and were good at helping us make choices. Excellent drinks menu and reasonably priced.

    We had bread and dips to start with then a variety of tapas. Pil pil, goats cheese, humous meze. The atmosphere was fab and we were allowed to stay for longer even though a large party arrived. Fab night.

    We had "pre theatre" tapas and cocktails which were delicious. The food is consistently exceptional here and we were not disappointed with the range of food and drink on offer. Looking forward to our next visit already

    A fabulous restaurant, serving some of the best tapas I have ever eaten. The staff were friendly and great fun, and made it a really lovely evening. The food is amazing, with each dish being cooked to order and served piping hot. The chorizo and black pudding is a firm favourite now! Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back.

    Forgot one of our meals and when asked for it given 4 dry bits of bread as an apology. Food just ok but overpriced for what you get. Staff didn't seem happy. More expensive but not a patch on cafe andalucia.

    Food was absolutely divine, incredibly reasonable pricing for what you get as well. Lovely little cosy place with some wonderfully friendly staff. I'll definitely be back.

    This is a lovely, warm and restaurant with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The food is outstanding, the best we have had in such a long time. We shared a bottle of win - the wine list is good, and also had a couple of cocktails. It's hard to pick out a favourite dish but the black pudding and chorizo was so good we order seconds. The garlic mushrooms were also worthy of a second round. There are plenty amazing dishes to choose from and we loved everything we had. We'll be back soon, though I'll be asking for a table with chairs next time as the bench I sat on was too high and narrow so not the most comfortable.

    The foodd was fine but the service was too much. Our friend ran late and it was like being chased even when we had plenty of time. Staff did this 4x initually which was odd but we left it. Then another x5 check ins with us and chasing us out the door. We were well aware of the time allocated for the table and it was overkill to come over so many times. Wouldnt go back

    Great food in a cozy setting. It was their 3rd anniversary when we visited so we were offered a free glass of bubbly, which was much appreciated.

    We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed a lovely meal. We both had the Chef's Selection, one meal/fish and one vegetarian. Everything was delicious and the service excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend!

    I was really looking forward to treating a fiend to brunch at the Selkie having eaten there before However a bit gutted that our lovely poached eggs were on 1 small piece of toast each ( I have given the cafe feedback about this ) Still think the Selkie is lovely but am unlikely to return for brunch as there are other places that seem to be similar food but with more toast !

    We booked The Selkie for a pre-theatre meal. The show was cancelled and staff at The Selkie were very accommodating with our request for a slightly later table. Servers were attentive and friendly. The decor and ambience were spot on. Food was tasty. Best dishes were chicken and chorizo stew and meatballs in tomato sauce. Will definitely return.

    The food was lovely but a bit over priced. £7.50 for 5 small prawns was definitely too much! However we thoroughly enjoyed everything we had and the staff you not have been more helpful and pleasant.
