   This is my second time visiting The Sequel with my family this time. The food was super tasty and fresh as last time! Service was great! Will return again!

   Had a lovely brunch on Mother’s Day. The food was excellent, our server was attentive and the space was enjoyable to spend time in. Food came out in a timely manner and we never felt rushed.

   The ambience was chic and the service attentive with nice presentation. However, there were two issues with the food: the french toast was too bready and dry, and the cheesecake was stiff and cold. My main concern was the inconsistency regarding table time limits. We were told we had only 60 minutes despite OpenTable stating 2 hours. When questioned, they claimed it was due to Mother's Day bookings, yet the front tables remained partially empty throughout our visit. The above distractions came in the way from what could have been an excellent experience.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

   The restaurant has so much potential, but their timing to get the food and beverages out is ridiculous. It took longer to get a glass of wine than it did for cocktails. We were constantly waiting for one of our meals to come. We were always lacking one person’s meal on the table for every course. The kitchen is timing to expedite and to get everyone’s meal on the table at the same time failed every single course.

   Had the crispy chicken gnocchi! Was so tasty in cream sauce with spinach and asparagus and a poached egg

   The restaurant is very, nice but small. Our waitress.,was sweet and tried to get to us and everyone else in a timely manner. She checked on us many times, asking if we were, happy,happy. The seafood tower was tasty,but the lobster was very salty. Overall,a lovely dinner.

   Wasn’t sure what to expect when we booked, but was pleasantly surprised by this place. I could only book a bar seat on open table, but when we got to the restaurant we were seated at a table, so not sure if that is a bug or on purpose. We had the seafood platter for two which was a good amount of prawns, lobster, scallops, and clams instead of mussels (the broth was amazing). We then shared the short rib pasta which was very tasty, but needed more so we also ordered the lasagne. Service was attentive - nothing ever went empty and we were always checked on. We will go back, they have some great weekday deals that we would like to try.

   After a wonderful first experience at Sequel, this visit disappointed. The service was extremely slow, it was very noisy, so hard to visit with our guests, and we had to send back food that wasn’t hot enough. This was for Happy Hour. I’m returning for dinner in a few weeks and hoping things have improved. Otherwise, I won’t be returning. I know it’s a “soft” open, but things need to improve immensely

    definitely not ready for prime time. Poor service and tables crowded too close together. Can't say about the food because it never came before we got tired of waiting and left.
