We enjoyed the high tea. It was a very special experience for a very special birthday. It was expensive, but it's ok to spend some money when it's a special occasion, right?

Avoid the High Tea. At best it can be described as “disappointing”but more accurately it would be “rip off”. The assortment of treats was very limited. It was 4 macarons, 2 brownies, a very dry lemon curd pastry cut in half, two stale tea biscuits, a crust less tomato and cream cheese sandwich, same for cucumber, and four baguette appies two with roast beef and two with jam and a mint leaf. Oh as well, carrot sticks and cucumber slices that definitely came from Costco, with sesame dressing as dip (it didn’t vibe and none of my guests enjoyed the flavour) I know that Little Bird Patisserie supplies their baking, and I have been in before and seen it displayed in their cases. The cases were empty when we arrived. I expected lovely desserts and quite an experience for $50 a person. Instead, our drink orders were taken (the iced coffees were good) but no water was offered, and basically no further check ins until I had to ask for a box to pack up the things we didn’t eat. It was far from a “high tea” experience. While we were sitting there a large rolling cart of baked goods arrived - none of what was on those carts was anything like what was presented to us. I had read other similar reviews giving poor ratings but I wanted a nice experience for my mother and sister in law visiting from out of province and figured maybe they were just over critical. This was far from a nice experience. It actually HURT to have to pay $200 for a pitiful amount of very mediocre baked goods. At most this experience should be $19 a person. I have been telling everyone I know to avoid this place. Terrible. Believe the negative reviews and save your money.

I was looking forward to a fun and dress up afternoon tea party with a great friend and sister. I made the reservation for a business casual dining experience. Having never been to this restaurant before, I relied on the description. Upon arriving, it was clear that the dress code was "anything goes" with servers dressed more like a brothel wearing a corset top than a classy venue for afternoon tea. Patrons were in leggings and otherwise "not business casual dress". It was pretty clear that my reservation had not been noted in the system as they sat me on a couch with coffee table. When I asked for better seating, the staff set up table and chairs in a more appropriate setting and located us near the back of the shop where it was quieter and less active than at the front. I appreciated this gesture. The staff also took photos of us when we asked which was also appreciated. Our food came out efficiently and our drink orders were good. We enjoyed our food. We were stuffed when we ate the last morsel. We did not have great service. No one gave us napkins and when we asked for them we were given folded up paper towels - not what we would expect for a business casual afternoon tea booking. We were never offered a refill of hot water for our tea or water or any other drinks throughout the 2. 5 hours we visited. Near the end of our visit, the manager on duty was more attentive than the wait staff had been. The washroom coupled as a storage room with building materials preventing me from standing close to the sink when washing my hands. Getting the itemized receipt when I paid also required assistance from the manager. This was definitely not the afternoon tea experience I wanted to treat my sister and 45 -year friend to. Thankfully, the conversation was great and I was with great company.

I couldn't have been more disappointed. The ambiance wasn't conducive to high tea. The tea was cold, sandwich bread was dry, service was wanting, and watching the uncovered food being ferried from an outside location was disconcerting. This was not an inexpensive outing but for such a dismal experience it was probably the hardest thing to swallow.

Worth the money for sure! Thank you for a wonderful birthday High Tea! It took a while for things to come out because they had minimal staff but when it did it was worth it. If there was a way to order drinks ahead that would be wonderful.

Most of the desserts were prepackaged and NOT homemade. Go to Costco for same product. Was hoping for the old Little Bird.

Experienced High Tea with my husband, daughter and her boyfriend. Presentation was delightful as well as the setting however we did not feel that there was value for the content. Selection of traditional tea was limited, the ratio of sweet to savoury food selections was too far over on the sweet side. Portions of sweets could have been much smaller. Berries were moldy. We enjoy fine dining often however this was not worth $45/person.

We have been a few times and loved it. Because of the cost, we only go on special occasions or when we have out of country visitors. Will definitely go again.

I was booked for high tea on Sunday with a friend, and it was a lovely experience. There were many different little savory sandwiches, sweet baked goods, snacks, and each person got their own little pink tea pot full of their tea of choice. I had the honey lavender tea and it was delicious. I enjoyed the cucumber sandwich served, the crossaint, the lavender lemon cake, and the macarons. The Shoppe is gorgeous and fairy like. I fully intend to visit next month to sample their new menu items for high tea.

The food was great, but service was poor. Took a very long time to get our drinks and even longer to get the food. Once we got our food the servers basically disappeared and could not track anyone down. The idea is nice, however having a high tea served in the middle of a busy ice cream/candy shop kind of ruins the mood.

The cutest place in Saskatoon! The shop is very well designed. The food was delicious and presentation was amazing. My mom and I had a fantastic experience, my only negative comment would be the price. For what we got I wayyyy over paid, it's incredibly expensive so most likely a one time experience only but still happy we tried it.

The concept is good but lacks on delivery we where seated opposite the cash register and it was extremely noisy and disruptive with kiddos running around etc and noise level . The food was just ok our sandwiches where extremely dry and sub par I think for the price they need to do better also more staff are needed ! .

Loved the tea service. I’d prefer the traditional tea option of a pot with brewed loose leaves vs a pint glass with a tea bag tucked in. This experience would have been improved if you had one staff member who only spent the time to prepare hot drinks for the tea service vs the reservations and walk-in customers.

The staff were very nice and welcoming. The Shoppe is beautifully designed. The timeliness and value was not what I expected as I have been to a number of high teas in other cities and countries. Our tea order wasn’t taken until 15 mins after we sat down and we didn’t receive our food until about 45 mins after our reservation time. No one did actually. The price paid was double what it should have been. Compare it to other high teas and you will find this to not be comparable.

I remember going to Little Bird Patisserie for high tea and loved it as a time to visit with friends. We had it seems like a very short time to visit. After just over an hour of sitting we were told that we would have to leave in about 15 minutes. This was quite short for what you paid to sit and enjoy tea and food that also came out a bit later so even less time to eat it. Felt quite rushed and not at all like the relaxing time it used to be

It is always lovely to go to high tea! Food was delicious and presentation is pleasing. My only drawbacks were seating is not meant for longer periods and the teapot leaked when poured over what seemed to be an appropriate amount. Also that the shop was open to other traffic, and due to that the noise levels were higher than anticipated. The atmosphere is much different than that at Little Bird, and that is understandable because the shop is now a candy/cotton candy/ice cream/soda shop instead of a cafe!
