   Great dinner setting ! This time of year is also an opportunity for outdoor dining overlooking the river (plenty of heaters). Also great deck for happy hour with friends or business associates. Great decor and vibe in this hotel and we love it for it's historical roots as well as status as a non-gaming venue for us natives who value tradition and history combined with modern vibe and feel!

   This was our first visit to The Shore at the Renaissance. We had a wonderful meal. All of the staff were energetic, welcoming and pleasant. We started with the Laffa and eggplant appetizer which was delicious. Three of us had the Flat Iron Steak and one had the Chicken Thighs. The Flat Iron Steak entrees were flavorful. My only critique would be that the steak should be sliced prior to placing it on top of the asparagus and mashed potatoes. I think it would offer a prettier presentation and make for easier dining. The Chicken thighs were equally delicious and the presentation was beautiful. For dessert I had the Chocolate Pie Macaron with fresh berries. It was a delight. Two others shared the Strawberry Key Lime Tart. It too was beautifully presented and delicious. We will definitely return.

   We ate inside, but hope to eat on the deck next time we go. Everything was perfect. It was a busy day for the staff, but they did an amazing job. We had brunch and bottomless mimosas. Everything was delicious. Looking forward to going back.

   We went for my wife’s birthday and had an absolutely amazing time. The service was top-notch and the food was wonderful. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a nice day out or dinner.

   The buffet experience for Mother’s Day had great food and they kept the capacity very small. It was very expensive however, especially if you only eat a little bit of food. Still, it is completely worth it!

    Spectacular dinner for 3 in a beautiful location by the Truckee River. Ronnie was our server and provided just the right amount of attentiveness. It was a bit pricey, but we were celebrating 3 events and splurged. Worth every penny. Beautiful ambiance. You can dine on the patio, but since it was pretty hot, we ate inside. The bar and dining rooms felt expansive with very high ceilings. We'll be back.

    I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the Shore Room was. The view from the patio of the river is stunning and later in the evening they have a fire pit. The interior is very open and light. And the food was wonderful. From our appetizers of laffa and humus , the entrees and the desserts were all delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The menu is diverse enough for 5 adults and they do have a kids menu. We will definitely be going back.

    We have been eating at the Shore for several years and will continue to do so. The food is always excellent and a good value. The service inside the restaurant has always been very good. However if you want to enjoy breakfast on their patio then you need to pack your patience. Every year we experience the same problems of terribly slow service on the patio. Not the fault of the waitstaff but rather they often have just one waiter working the entire patio. We will continue to eat there since it's the best riverfront dining in the city, however we know that poor service, especially during the breakfast meal, is to be expected.

    My husband and I had a delicious anniversary dinner with a lovely river view. Cocktails, appetizer, entrees, desserts were expertly prepared with original flares. Service was friendly and attentive. The Shore Room is a treasure whether out for a casual meal or special occasion.

    Nice restaurant located 'above and next to the Truckee River. Went for 9 am breakfast and if you sit outside, depending on the location of seat, you may be in the sun. In the distance you could see the snow-covered mountains even if it was 60+ degrees. Decent prices and portions for a downtown, hotel restaurant. You hear more from the people and vehicles on the street then you do folks around you. Can't speak to how that might change if you are there for lunch, dinner, or happy hour. Glad I tried it out.

    We ate here before going to a show at the Pioneer Theatre. The food was delicious, but the menu seemed limited, at least for our family's preferences. Unfortunately, my granddaughter has a restricted diet, so we had to get creative with our order. The waiter was very accommodating, though. All-in-all, we will very likely go back, especially when the weather allows for sitting outside by the river.

    We love coming to The Shore. Usually the wait staff is attentive and quick. This time the service was sllloooowww and we were having to ask staff to take our orders and get our check. We were a 4 top and had been seated before a 6 top...they had appetizers before we even had put in our drink order. Not sure if our invisibility cloaks were on-but not a great night for service.

    Everything from the food to the service was spectacular! I ordered the Blackened Salmon Toastadas and my friend ordered the Flat-Iron Steak. Both were amazing! Juan, our server, was very attentive and a pleasure to talk to. We will definitely be dining here again.

    I love the Shore Room! This time we had dinner before a show at the Pioneer. So convenient, and the staff worked to ensure we were done and on our way in time for the show. The food was wonderful - I had the special chilean sea bass. Our table also had the small plates tacos and a pasta special. It was all delicious and just the right sized portions. (We can be big eaters, but I don't like being overserved - I feel compelled to eat it! But I also am sad when the portions seems like kid-sized portions and I leave hungry!) The service was spot on - just the right amount of attention without being intrusive. The manager comped a dessert for my mother-in-law's birthday - nice touch! The desserts are worth saving room for, FOR SURE. I actually joked that next time, I might just skip dinner and order one (or two!) of the housemade gourmet desserts! DELISH!     Overall dining there was a good experience. Parking was confusing. Signs indicated our choices were very expensive so we parked on the street only to learn at the restaurant we could have parked for free and signage was for hotel guests.

    New spring menu is now available. Some items have been updated and some items have been added. We tried the Braised Beets — goat cheese, oranges, arugula, candied walnuts, black garlic, Greek yogurt salad and the Ricotta Gnocchi — mushrooms, peas, fava beans, cauliflower puree, watercress, pesto, candied pistachios last night.     Our server was attentive but we didn’t get water refills. We were seated next to a party of four girls who were extremely loud and obnoxious the place had plenty of open seats so it was a bit irritating as we were trying to talk. The view is great and normally we don’t have any issues so we will be returning

    Always enjoy eating at the shore room. The food is consistently good and reasonably priced. The ambience can't be beat with the best river front dining in Reno, especially in the warmer months when the patio is open. The only down sound is that the table service can be very slow.
