4 of us ate here at lunch time. We were all very happy with our meals. My lambs liver and bacon with garlic mash was delicious and the cabbage was cooked exactly as I like it, with a bit of crunch to it. My husband had fish and chips and said how good it was. My niece had a gluten free chicken burger and her husband had steak and kidney suet pudding. The chips come ready salted which my husband enjoyed but maybe a little too salty for some people? All the portions were very generous. At the moment there is no desert menu but there were 3 puds on offer. However we were too full of main course to attempt one this time. Also they are waiting for a new coffee machine so we didn't have coffees. The new owners have only been there a week so are still finding their way but with food like that they deserve to be successful. We will definitely go back.

Superb food, great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff would highly recommend a visit here all food is freshly prepared and locally sourced and delicious

Apparently the dining room is soon to get new furniture! Can’t wait. Food is very good now. Good selection of beers too
