   Recommend the charcuterie platter. Everyone in our party ordered the tacos (two fish, one chicken, and one pork) which were delicious. The churros were amazing. Service was good and place was relatively quiet.

   We did the $28pp chefs tasting menu -- I thought there would be a better value or something a bit more special to doing this but it works out to be the same as if you had chosen your own. Therefore, I'd just recommend choosing your own dishes as they gave us two chicken dishes. Our tasting menu came with two chicken tacos, one chicken empanada, the watercress salad and potatoes bravas.

   Another wonderful dinner at Soca. The haddock ceviche with deep-fried plantains was a standout new dish for us. (We don't usually order new dishes, because we remain so deeply in love with the sourdough breads, the watercress salad, and the tacos. :) ) Great cocktails, a wonderful Rioja, and chocolate glazed churros with espresso rounded things out. Did I mention the warm, helpful, and efficient service? Cannot recommend Soca more highly. We will be back soon.

   Good evening, we visited the restaurant for the first time. We arrive at 6 p.m. and we were the only ones in the restaurant but it was the Tuesday after the long weekend. Angele served us. She was lovely and very attentive. We had tapas dishes, sweet sous vide beets, watercress cesar, empanadas, and tacos. We finished it off with a coconut tres leche. All were perfectly prepared and very savory. We were pleasantly surprised withe the overall experience. We will be returning.

    The restaurant is clean and bright and the staff friendly. Unfortunately , they were out of paella , one of their main dishes. This tainted the meal somewhat as the menu was quite limited to start.

    Wonderful! Food is excellent. Prefer the environment here than Soca Glebe. Decor is nice. Started with the Smokey old fashion which was awesome. Ordered the ceviche to start which was excellent. Then had the whole fried fish which was the best I have had in ottawa. Had the Patatas Bravas to accompany the fish. Finished with churros covered in Nutella. Sooooo good! Wonderful evening sharing all these dishes between two people was perfect. Get out there and eat so we don’t lose anymore great spots in Ottawa.

    One of my favourite restaurants in Ottawa. Amazing food and wine selection. It was my first time at the Beechwood location. This location has been wonderfully designed and has more of a modern and fresh feel than the original location on Holland. Food ordered was great in terms of taste and presentation. Only suggestion might be that the charcuterie for two be presented on a bit of a smaller plate (the presentation on this one has to be spread out to fill the plate and still didn’t quite do it, making the spread feel a bit sparse and the plate appear a bit empty). Went on a Monday night so the atmosphere was a bit quiet due to low traffic, but I can see the environment being quite conducive to an electric and energetic feel when busy. Overall great experience and can’t wait to check out the Glebe location!

    The food was interesting and delicious and the portions were just about right. The cocktails were wonderful and original, especially a smoking whisky drink. The service was excellent.     We ordered the blind dinner and I’m aware it said no alternatives no substitutions, but what is the point of asking us about our dietary restrictions if you’re still going to serve us what we are allergic to? I’m allergic to hazelnut and clearly said so but they still brought me the one dish with hazelnuts in it. So I couldn’t eat it. I could have been offered more of one of the other dishes or the option of no hazelnut sauce on that dish instead. Everything else was delicious. I’ll go again but don’t recommend the blind tasting if you have allergies. Making exceptions for allergies is something they should consider.

    From start to finish, a great way to meet up with friends and enjoy excellent food, drinks and service. Highly recommend the cocktails, especially the fusion mojito. Service was prompt and friendly and they were very busy. Love their tacos (we ordered chicken, pork and beef) and just mixed & matched ourselves. Server was able to point out items that were gluten-free and give suggestions to modify other dishes. It was a fun and delicious evening

    Such great tasty food! All the dishes are unique and very flavourful. The staff was amazing, they kept the restaurant open to accommodate our reservation even though they were technically closed at that time. They didn’t make us feel bad for being the only people there, just overall great service and very nice staff.

    This was my second visit to Soca Kitchen. I really like the restaurant but wish they had more Spanish wines available (wines by the glass are mainly from Australia or the US). We tried the chef’s tasting menu which consisted of empanadas, tacos, beet salad and a thick slice of bread with cheese and ham. I thought the empanadas were especially good but the tacos were overly sauced. It was good value $28 per person).

    I chose Soca because I wanted to treat a friend who is in a wheelchair for her birthday. The restaurant couldn't have been nicer, or more accommodating. Even though there were 8 of us and we were quite chaotic, they handled it all with grace. The service was prompt and lovely. The cocktails were great and the food was delicious. The only critical thing I would say is that the menu is a bit complicated—it's a mixture of tapas and more substantial things, and it takes a while to figure it all out, and how much to order if you're sharing with a group, in what sequence. Trying to do this on a small screen is difficult. The impulse to get rid of paper is laudable, but navigating a menu on a screen is difficult for many older people and feels like a barrier for them. Overall, though, we had a wonderful evening and a lovely meal. I will definitely go again!
