The restaurant had just opened and noon. They seemed very disorganized. Perhaps the staff needs to start their shift before the doors open. Server was friendly. Food was unremarkable. Coffee machine didn’t work. Atmosphere was cozy. It’s quite a small restaurant. Would be nice for a private party. Feels like a cafe rather than a restaurant. Just because it’s so small.

First time having lunch at The Social. Myself and a dear friend were very pleased with our visit. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Service was excellent. Thank you to Charlotte. Would definitely return.

Unfortunately, The Social was disappointing this visit. Food was not as good as it was. Hamburger was way overcooked! The cleanliness of the restaurant in general and the washroom specifically were not acceptable. Not as wonderful as a first visit years ago.

Our dining experience started out well with a very friendly server but then as things got busier the service went down hill which we assume was the result of not enough staff. Our meals took a long time to arrive and when they did they were cold. I requested they be reheated but that made them to tough to eat. So unfortunately we paid alot of money for a below standard meal and poor service.

Came in for a meal before going to the Capital Theatre. The charcuterie board we had, everything was good except the bread, that was stale. A birthday party came in (who knew someone behind the bar) from that moment on we were forgotten. Our pain meal came out and it was cold and the bread that came with our pasta was raw inside. We asked them to please warm up (we said just put in microwave because we didn’t want to wait for a whole new one), again maybe room temperature. Our waiter never came over, a young girl finally brought us water. For over 70 dollars, definitely not worth it. Will not recommend, first impression bad.

Reserved this little gem for a girls lunch. The food is good, and the location is very sweet. Unfortunately the service was lacking in consistency and efficiency.

The food at The Social is consistently of high quality and big flavour, enhanced by the fantastic selection of beverages and an engaged team. If you haven't tried it, the basil aioli is delicious, with the recipe posted right up on the wall in the inside dining area. Thanks again, Social team!

Absolutely amazing food a located in a beautiful downtown followed up our honey garlic chicken sandwich with a sunset walk on the waterfront path beside.

We sat outside so take my ambience and noise rating with a large grain of salt. Inside seemed nice though and it was surprisingly quiet outside while we were there (Sunday, just after noon). Our server was very friendly, though when we did ask for more water it never came. A very minor nit-pick considering how great they were, unfortunately I didn't get their name.

Cocktails were fun & tasty! I had the spicy fried chicken sandwich and my daughter had the honey garlic chicken sandwich. Both were delicious and the fries were amazing! Highly recommend The Social!

I found it a little pricey. $13 for a six ounce glass of wine is a little much. The food was good and the service was great but I won’t be back.

This is our second time at this restaurant. The first time was absolutely phenomenal. This time we liked the service and atmosphere but were a little disappointed with the food. It was obviously fresh, and cooked well, as all the food was very tender. However, the food was lacking in having very much flavour. A bit disappointing for the caliber of restaurant and how amazing it was the first time. Perhaps this was an off day, but it makes me not want to risk having another try for how much you are paying.

Super cute spot. We ate at the front at the window. Service was good our server Emily was super nice and attentive. They were great with our special requests. I will definitely go back.

The environment was friendly and relaxed and worth the drive. The food is gourmet quality with a reasonable price. Our server was professional and kind enough to make me a mocktail , not on the menu. I had the house special of mushroom stuffed ravioli with duck and the sauce was delicious, one only needed bread to get every last taste. My husband had the brisket with polenta, fork tender and taste in every bite. A definite must try for your dining experience. Who knows, could become your favourite spot like us!

Love the food at this restaurant (it’s always good), and the service was fantastic! My only complaint would be that the last three times we have come here, they always seem to be out of the alcoholic beverages offered on their menu. One time we had to order 3 different beers before finding one they had available, and they were out of a wine when we wanted to order a bottle. I understand this sometimes happens, but this seems to be a reoccurring issue here, which can get a little frustrating. Otherwise great place to visit.
