The Sportsbar LIVE! At Rogers Arena Ratings and Reviews
Good atmosphere. Bad overpriced food. Even worse service.
There was excellent service while we were there - no shortage of servers there. The food was incredible as well. I had the cheeseburger, miso corn and peanut butter pie - all I’d recommend. I watched the ufc fight there and great venue to do so at.
Only knock is it’s a little on the pricier side, so I wouldn’t be inclined to go here too frequently.
Overall, great experience and I will return.
My friends and I attended last Saturday to watch the UFC. At first the staff had a tough time showing the prelims. During the main card we missed a lot cause music was turned on way too often would have been nice to hear most of the UFC and less of the music actually no music at all. The waitress didn’t bring us any napkins after taking our wiping cloth away earlier. Cause we ordered food more then once. I think for an event like the UFC you need to turn up the volume the sound was way too low we actually asked to increase the volume but it was barely turned up. Please no music in between it ruins the whole PPV. We like the food and service was fair but if were gonna watch more UFC events you must refrain from playing music increase the sound level and show the prelims right from the start.
Great place to watch the game
I really enjoy the sportsbar and will be back. Great atmosphere and friendly people. Unfortunately on this particular visit, the fries arrived cold and hard (they did provide fresher ones later). Also in the third period of the Russia/us game suddenly all the TVs showing it switched to some sports talk show (with no sound). Had to ask 4 times to switch it back and by then the game was almost over :-(.
We always enjoy the Sports Bar and this was no exception. We brought friends from England and Denmark to enjoy dinner before the Canucks game. This was our friend from Denmark first NHL hockey game so was a very special occasion.
We are a family from Seattle. We came up to enjoy Vancouver, and to celebrste my son's 15 birthday. This was my kids first hockey game. What a great setting! The food and service was top notch! Well done to the entire staff!
A little hard to get to from BC Place and was a little on the loud side for conversations but overall it was good. The food was tasty and the staff were friendly. I'd go back.
This is a great pre-game spot as you're already at the arena; busy on a Saturday night but not overwhelming. Typical bar food, but with a few healthier options. Great drink menu and friendly staff.
Could use some more items on the menu and the music is a bit too loud.
Pre game meal. Loud but fun. Good, friendly service.
Variety on the menu ensures that there is something for almost everyone. Pricing is about the same as Cactus Club. Typical Vancouver restaurant with young servers in tight dresses, but the service is actually really good. Would go back for sure
Great service and location of the table for solid for a Canadiens v Canucks game.
Girls on staff were awesome liked the music the bar was a rocking good time
I enjoyed the ambiance, loud, boisterous filled with people partying. I was getting geared up for the Habs game and based on all the sweaters there were as many Habs fans as there were Canuck fans. The beer was good I enjoyed all the activity. I was my birthday gift and this was a great memorable present.
Made a reservation but no table was available, so we were led to an outside room overlooking the rink - rather cold in that area, not the vibe we were after.
Came before the hockey game with my fiancé and father in law. Great experience, service was excellent, food was good!
very loud sportsbar. great place to go before the hockey game.
Everything was good, service, staff, food quality. We got there at 4:15 and were out of there at 5:00 and to our seats for 5:10 puck drop.My only complaint would be that the music in the background was a bit too loud.
Such a great place to watch sports, that I debated leaving a bad review to keep people out the door. Wings are the best in the city too. Our server Alana was great.
Our waitress made the night by moving us up to a better booth closer to the ice. Great atmosphere and fun times for the group.
Had a great time. Even the chef came out to great us and ask how everything was! Then brought us treat! Will be coming back for sure!!
Great service and beer selections and I was upgraded to my favourite booth #4 to see PK score from centre...it was well worth the reservation and staying for the game.
Booked for dinner prior to attending a Canucks Game..... WAY TOOOOO LOUD!!!!!
UNNECESSARY to have MUSIC BLASTING!!
Felt like cafeteria style similar to ferry ⛴ seating!!
Wouldn’t return, better off eating in Arena especially because our seats are in club section!!! There you have it..... enjoyed my time with my son!!!
Aside from the convenience of being onsite at Rogers Arena for Canucks games and other events, having a good number of large screen TVs for live sports, and a decent selection of beer on tap, I really can't think of any redeeming qualities for this venue worth mentioning. We ordered chicken wings where multiple pieces had hair in it, the Prime Rib (which is a celebrated arena specialty also available in a shaved sandwich at Carve concession stands) and the tenderloin were both overcooked to our preference - no excuse at $38 & $42 respectively. We didn't have time to wait for a re-fire but both items remained on the bill with no discount offered. During the course of the meal we were interrupted 3 times by the same hostess who asked if we had a reservation (answer is yes but couldn't she have checked in the system instead of having to ask) then again if we're almost finished our meal (no respectable eatery should ever disturb their guests while dining in this manner). If there was a seating time limit we should have been informed at reservation or prior to being seated. On her grand finale visit she actually made us get up from our seats so she could move our table to make room for a larger party. The Sportsbar is nowhere near a worthy replacement to the Center-Ice Grille where you used to be able to get a good meal with decent service. So if you should go there on game nights do expect organized chaos, but with no game-day specials and the abundance of alternatives nearby you're much better off dining/drinking somewhere else to avoid disappointment.
The wings ate awesome
Outstanding sports bar with excellent service and atmosphere. Can't beat it before or after the Canucks game!
Difficult for conversation as it’s just too loud for dining
Had a great time. The music was a little too loud and the commentating/l for the game was barely understandable.
Good times though!
Were not pleased that we made the reservation 2 weeks before the game and our table was in the back away from the atmosphere of the sports bar. We left after the first period.
Wow, wow, wow, what a great pregame experience. Great food, great service, great atmosphere!
The food is mediocre at best, but the ambience and service are great.
awesome will be back thinking birthday dinner for my wife and I
Noisy but fun with good service. We were late due to not being able to get a taxi on a rainy night. We called to let them know and they held our table for 4 even though the place was packed.
Great customer service and free tickets to the Red Wings v Canucks game...can't beat the ice views and the good customer service!
The music was way too loud, the food was marginal, the seating arrangement terrible, the quality of the TV's was poor. The only good thing was the service.
This was the second time I have eaten there before a Canucks game. The first time we parked underneath Rogers Arena. This time we were told, by the parking attendant, that guests of the Sportsbar were no longer permitted to park under Rogers Arena prior to hockey game without a permit. There was no mention of this change on the web site for the restaurant. Also, and I know its before a hockey game, but they jammed way too many people into the space. Frankly I think it was beyond fire code that night. We had a table, which are already packed in there tightly. Then there were dozens and dozens of people standing around as well. It difficult to even move. The food was good and the TV's are great. Service was ok but a little slow. I think the volume of people was the problem. When servers cant get through the crowds to place orders, and pick up drinks and food, its going to slow everything down. Also when I asked what time the doors to Rogers Arena opened so that we could get to our seats the server said she had no idea. Strange answer based on the venue? Not trying to be negative because the food and drinks were good and the environment is great. Just some tweaks needed I think.
Great service, good food, fun atmosphere.pricing was very reasonable. Definatley will go back.
We really enjoyed the evening, food was tasty and very well presented and our server was lively, friendly, and energetic. Entrance into the bar is always a problem on game days as the lines can be a bit of a pain, but once past the metal detector and into the venue, everything was fantastic.
Food was great and service was great but the music was too loud! We were there with friends and we had to leave as we couldn't talk over the music! Otherwise very nice evening!
