Great b4ban event
Honestly food was average, music was too loud for a coversation no coat check food was nothing you couldn't get at the concession stands durring a game.
Food was good as was the service. We went before concert at Rogers Arena.
Found the music too loud so difficult to have a conversation.
I was totally impressed by the way they accommodated me by my late arrival. Most Restaurants would have given my table away! Great Service! Definitely my favorite place before a concert!
Been there twice this season - 1 Canucks game 1 concert (Rod) and enjoyed both times. It's a no-brainer to get there early and avoid traffic. Menu quite varied as is beer/wine. My only issue is having parked underground not being able to take elevator to the restaurant. Not that I should complain, but with a new knee, there were/are quite a few stairs. Would certainly patronize at other times subject to parking...I have to familiarize myself. Bottom line, thanks for a great night. J
Sedins last game
My new favourite Sports Bar in the city!!
I understand that it's a sports bar and that they have a live DJ but the music was abnormally loud. Even the waitress was commenting that she was yelling at all the patrons.
The reservation system is on-point; you get the time that you picked. Why do I mention that?
Well, I had a reservation March 27 2018 for 6:00pm. I arrived at 5:45pm, spoke to the receptionist who acknowledged and communicated with upstairs I had a reservation.
I did have to wait 15 minutes, until 5:59pm, when my table became available.
On April 3 2018 I had a reservation for 6:15pm. I arrived at 5:45pm again, spoke to the receptionist who acknowledged and communicated with upstairs I had a reservation.
I did have to wait 30 minutes, until 6:15pm, when my table became available.
Both instances should show that i) it is not useful to show up early to your reservation and ii) you will not get a table before your reservation.
Which is great! And fine.
HOWEVER; there is no waiting area. Literally, you stand at the top of the stairs, where there's approximately two feet between the top of the stairs and the main reception woman.
People are constantly walking in and up and down the only stairs [at capacity, no reservations, looking around, etc]. It's a complete zoo. I fail to see what the lower level receptionist actually does... in my opinion, if the establishment is full, she should have a security member beside her and enforcing it. It feels like a nightclub at 1am right before the main artist is going to come on stage and everyone is trying to get a drink.
Once you're sitting, all is well. Very orderly, respectful, truly 'waiting' on you.
Great food at essentially no additional cost to what you'd pay inside the arena for lesser food, much wider selection of beers.
Lastly; extremely loud. I go to... let's call it three events a month. I enjoy loud. I don't wear earplugs. I could not hold a conversation with the person across the table from me. Not just chatter, but "moves like Jagger" type music BLASTING. Many people just sit and eat and look at the TV's as they cannot converse with the people at their table.
Our second to last game of the season...and only the second time in the Sportsbar...
The first time, we were not treated well...
this time, we were treated OVER THE TOP! Excellent service and attention to all of us..( 6 Season ticket holders...using up our gift cards)
Couldn't have been better...Dave went above and beyond...
I can say that I did feel valued as a Season Ticket holder.
When they turned the music on part way through dinner it was way too loud. Otherwise a good experience.
4th visit this year for pre-game Canucks and always a good time. Food is very good and reasonably prices, staff very friendly.
We love coming here before Canucks games. My son always asks if we are going to the "Sportsbar" before the game. We only go a few times a year, but every time we have experienced friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere!
The staff didn’t let the two additional people in to join out table. The organization between the downstairs and the upstairs staff is poor. This needs to be wrote for business meetings.
Waitstaff was great
perfect for pregame dining and beers. reservations ideal. proximity to game was ideal. service was great and food was good
Our waitress was really friendly. Great service, lots of fun.
Great food and service, management was able to track down a Hank Sedin bobble head which my nephew greatly appreciates...always a great time at the Sportsbar during a Canucks game!
We are always happy with the food, beer and service. The sweet potato fries are amazing.
good service and food. convenient place to get go before a concert
Not an easy place to get into and it's like a dark maze inside. Not very accessible for anyone disabled as there are stairs, and elevators need special access.
Food is OK.
Nachos are amazing. More than enough for two people. Get a bit noisy just before game time. Friendly staff.
Quickly becoming my favourite sports bar in Vancouver
We wanted to find a place for a quick bite and drink before the Canucks game and luckily made reservations here! Without reservations, forget it, you might get awkward standing room between the tables, because even the bar stools are reserved! It was worth it. Outstanding server, great food, nice wine list, cool ambiance - and then straight into Rogers to watch the game!
Nice place. Nachos were good and huge!
Great game to see the AHL Rangers v Canucks and I was moved to the booth area which has great views of the ice surface.
First time at the sports bar, went before Canucks game against rangers. We had a reserved table (my wife and I) which we were ushered to immediately. The food came quickly, portions were large, food was first class and waitress was always within a few minutes call. We had a great time, people around us were very friendly, everyone seemed to be having a good time. I would highly recommend to anyone...
Perfect prior to watching the canucks play. Food quality was great!
Our server was awesome I didn’t have any quinoa in my salad that I ordered and she was quick to get me a side of quinoa. She was extremely attentive and great at her job. Lively atmosphere very accommodating.
Great food and excellent service. Perfect pregame meal!
Absolute and total convenience location for food before and after an event being held at Rogers arena! Service was nice and food was good. Downside..... food is overpriced, but then again......you pay for convenience!
Will go back again for the above mentioned
Great time with friends. Too bad the Canucks couldn’t get the win tonight.
Didn’t know this fun Place existed. When we heard about and went there for dinner it is a place we would definitely go back to. Great place to go to before a hockey game!!!
Our food was good and came quickly. It was very busy and the service was slow. Overall it was an Ok experience but unhappy with service.
We made the reservation for two the farthest out that we could ( 14 days) and a 5:30 PM seating so one would assume we would be provided a decent table location. As it turned out we walked up the stairs and were seated at the very first table to the left of the top of the stairs ( directly across from the hostess station. ( probably the worst table in the place).
We felt rushed from the beginning from ordering appetizers to nice Entrees ( Filet & Salmon) so we were expecting an experience as we were there for a full dinner. I must say that having worked 20 years in the industry at the Westin Hotel chain in F&B, both the Salmon dinner and the Beef Tenderloin were very impressive...... just felt as if we rushed the dinner as we had only 1- hour to enjoy the experience and get out as all tables had a second seating.
Seasons ticket holder
Our waitress was fantastic. The food came super quickly, which was great. We had plenty of time to eat and chat. We even had time for a tea before our reservation was up. I did get a little too crowded at one point however, and because we were seating at a table too close to the bar, people were gathering 2-3 layers deep at the bar and ended up continually banging into one of the chairs we were seated in. I don't know if people were waiting for drinks or if they were just standing there watching the sports, but it became quite annoying. Perhaps a partition between tables close to the bar and the bar? Not sure. Other than that, we would recommend.
You can’t beat the convenience of the location when attending an event at Rogers Arena. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go to the bar and/or eat here but for some food and drinks before catching a Canucks game it’s a good choice. The one drawback is they push for a high turn over of tables on event nights so expect to be informed you’ll only have 1 to 1 1/2 hours to finish your meal. On the plus side the food is decent and we’ve always had great service.
Really wanted to see the NCAA Arizona vs Arizona state bball game, contacted them before, got a call saying they had it, showed up and of course they didn’t. The cable package they had isn’t as good as what I have at home. Huge space, maybe 3 out of a hundred tables were full, a cavernous space when no game is on. I asked if they were showing March Madness and was treated to a blank stare!
Great experience , servers were awesome . I will definitely go back .
Fun & Great way to enjoy Games and beers
Booked reservations before the Katy Perry concert. So convenient with perfect timing
