The Squire is awesome. Everything about this restaurant is fantastic. I’m not a huge fan of the country music they play for ambiance, but that’s my only qualm and by no means would that distract me from giving this place the 5 stars that it rightfully deserves.

Sat at the bar for happy hour before we sat for dinner. It's a really nice happy hour with great prices on the booze and food. The place is newly renovated. It looks fresh, clean and modern, but they need to warm up the space a bit more...its feels a kind of sterile, cold, maybe cavernous. Bartenders were nice and attentive. We moved to the dining section. Service was good, but there was a long gap between the apps and entrées. They only offered two red wines by the glass, neither of which was a nice red. That is is ridiculous. I was the only one drinking red wine and didn't want to get a bottle. They have to fix that. The food we got was solid, but if we're being honest, we all said the same thing when walking in to the restaurant, that there was an awful, rancid bad-fish smell when we arrived. This caused the four of us NOT to order fish and that was all they had on their specials. DOH! It was bad and the chef should never allow food that smells like that to get into the dining area. We'll go back again, but want to give them some time to get it together, maybe warm up the dining/ bar area decor some and maybe have a chat with the Chef.

We just had to go back! This time we brought our friends and they loved it. First time about 2 weeks ago it was wonderful and this time it was amazing! The Scallops were so delicious. My husband had the Orrechette and he can’t wait to go back again. The ambiance is so beautiful and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The service was very good, they have ample staff ! They got a system down pat! The food was also very good, we had a corn, crab and cheese dip to start. Very fresh and light. I had the short ribs, made well and taste was on target. Husband had the halibut over lemon risotto, very fresh and tasty. The place has been newly renovated, style is very clean and stark. White walls, dark tables. No coziness or ambiance. Some tables very near the bar without separation. All in all we’d go back. Only concern, since it’s attached to a catering hall, how service will be when an event takes place. Hope they have continued success!

Went to The Squire on Friday night. This restaurant was a pleasant surprise since it was not open long.The food was delicious. My friend had the cod and said it MUCH better than she had ever had in Spain on several occasions. Nice and light with a delightful broth. I had the scallops with risotto which was fabulous. The Caesar salad was wonderful. Food and drinks were both to perfection. The chef is fantastic. Sadly, there was a band which made it impossible to talk to person across the table. Much, much too loud for dining. It was smooth dining music when they took a break. I will definitely return on another night when the music will not detract from the quality of the dining experience.

Everyone from the restaurant manager, waiter and Chef Cliff went above and beyond to make sure the food and service were outstanding! Chef Cliff even came from the kitchen to greet us. The food was amazing..one of the best meals we have had in a long time. We will be repeat customers

I have heard about this place, and finally got a chance to give it a go. Had the Clams Oreganata as an appetizer, perfect portion. Also had the 16 oz NY Strip, absolutely fantastic! The drinks were made perfectly, highly recommended!

Amazing quality and great service! Every time we come, we are treated like family. Food is always amazing and the quality is consistently outstanding! The best scallops I’ve ever had and the chopped salad is perfect! My daughter loved the Shrimp scampi and the apple dessert! We will be back!

This is a beautiful restaurant and the food, including desserts, were simply delicious. The wait staff were very helpful in pointing out suggestions and spoke very highly of the chef. Something I wish I had asked about before ordering was that my favorite martini (chocolate) was hiding on the dessert cocktails menu! We loved this restaurant and do plan to go back again. It is elegant yet not pretentious.

My family and I enjoyed the food. It’s a beautiful restaurant and the staff was very attentive. The only complaint my husband had was, he noticed that the entree he ordered the prime ribs did not come with any type of vegetable for the price he paid. Also, he could not order a drink without sitting at the bar, in which I found kind of strange. Otherwise, I had a nice birthday in a very classy place.

Another amazing dinner, scallops, steaks and crab cake special were all the best we have had in a long time. Gnocchi was ridiculously good. Happy we got in again before everyone else finds out about The Squire!

Hidden gem in West Long Branch. Beautiful new space lit perfectly. Delicious food is both well cooked and sourced, and is served by a highly attentive and friendly staff. Even the bread is amazing. We will add this restaurant to our favorites.

It was a date night for my husband and I. The place inside looked more like a rental hall. Very dark. Low ceilings. Food was mediocre and so was the service. I had Shrimp scampi with spaghetti. It was like a soup. Shrimp was soggy in a soup like sauce. Service was poor as well. Will not be going back.

We tried Squire’s from a colleague’s suggestion and I’m so glad we did! The restaurant was beautiful, waitress was so friendly and accommodating. Our chopped salad was delicious, perfect actually. I had the chicken parm which was the best I had( I order chicken parm a lot) and my husbands squire burger was out of this world. The jam on it was awesome and the sweet potato mash was very good! Topped it all of with the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream- sooo good! The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced- will definitely be back! Great job!
