Good wine selection and vegetarian options . Friendly service and warm atmosphere.
We went with friends prior to going to the nearby Stanley Theatre. We believe it’s a great pre theatre option.

Service was quite slow despite it not being very busy. The food more than made up for it though. The atmosphere is lovely. Also the lambrusco was delicious.

Just off of Granville street and near the Stanley Industrial Alliance stage, this pretty little bistro has 2 wine lists, 1 by the bottle, and one on the wall by the glass. Clever dishes that can be prepared in a tiny kitchen (like my gnocchi with duck confit and others like charcuterie plates and salads) make it a good place if you have something from their small menu in mind. Prices are a bit high, but it's comfortable, cosy, and if you like wine, a good place to sip the latest high-end glasses. Service is attentive but laid back.

This was our first time but won't be our last. We stopped with friends on our way back from a ferry. They were very accommodating on a Sunday evening when our ferry returned late and we could not avoid a 30 minute delay. Being our first time, we were guided by our server through the outstanding menu. Her recommendations were great in taste and just the right amount of food since were weren't sure what small, medium and large plates meant. We shared amongst the four of us, so we could all enjoy the variety of taste sensations. Thanks again, Stable House, we will be back!

Restaurant was a very pleasant surprise as a friend and I had a bite to eat before attending a play at the Stanley Theatre. Food was excellent - try the tuna appy! Good selection of wines by the glass, a nice treat! Yummy desserts! And our server was excellent - patient as we talked and didn't look at the menu.

Been exploring all this beautiful and friendly country of Canada has to offer. Our hotel city views of Vancouver downtown are incredible! We walked blocks away from our hotel and found this fantastic hidden gem the locals enjoy. Had an amazing dinner. Enjoyed a Leche de Tigre Albacore Tuna Ceviche topped with Tobiko & homemade chips plus a White Portugal white wine flight. Donnie had a Flatbread with Pork Belly topped with jalapeños and arugula and special sauce and cheese. Yummm!
Excited for the what's next!

The food and service is amazing. The portions are smaller than I'd like. Between two people we ordered two appies, and two mains and it was barely enough. Other than that it's great food and nice place to eat at!

Pleasantly surprised as we were looking for an Italian restaurant but wanted it to be within walking distance to our accommodations. The Bistro had a variety of selections including a pasta and burrata dish to please our Italian lovers, but also lovely salads, vegetables and flatbread. The waitress was also fabulous, quite astute and friendly!

Excellent meal with diverse menu and wine selection. We shared several plates. Zucchini salad was amazing as were the seafood spaghettini and squid. Have been a few times and will be back. Often.

We chose this as a new for us restaurant prior to a show at the Stanley Theatre. We were really happy with the choice. The menu is interesting and delicious. We decided to pick smaller plates so we could sample as many of the options as possible. None disappointed! Our server was lovely, attentive but in no way overbearing. We'll be back.😀

This is a comfortable gem serving creative and well executed food options for those who value good ingredients and flavour combinations over size. We have eaten both dinner and brunch, and not been disappointed.

The service was wonderful and friendly. The recommended appetizers were favourable. However, three of the four main dishes were bland, kind of let down after the appetizers. Consider the price, we were a little disappointed, but might give it another chance as the service and appetizers were good.

We were two couples and chose The Stable House Bistro as it is a very convenient location for dinner before attending an event at the Stanley. It was our second visit to the restaurant so I knew that the food would be good. Our waitress was very efficient, friendly and helpful with our menu choices. We will be back.

Was a great brunch. The hollandaise lacked some flavour but the entire dish was great overall. Service was a tad slow - when I arrived took a while to get water and be asked for a drink order.... and I waited for my guest - no suggestion or ask for an appy order.

Food was just ok, not special at all, not too many choice to choose from the brunch menu. Restaurant was not able to change anything from the menu even from 63 C egg to well done egg , my friend at senior age requests but got rejected. Dessert was not worth than what we got. I can get way better dessert in Joe Fortes with the same price. Server was too aggressive that made us uncomfortable. Will not suggest to friend and will not come again.

I love the feel and vibe of the place. We ordered, among other shared dishes, the margarita flatbread. Neither of us could eat it. Cheese tasted nasty. Told the server and he just took it away, barely touched. No acknowledgement of what we said. No suggestions. No bill adjustment. This was a bit disappointing.

Went there before a play. The waiter was great in that he asked if we were going to then play so he could make sure we had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves . Service was very good . attentive but not hanging over you . Food was good with a very interesting selection of cheeses . Limited but good wine selection . Warm and inviting ambience . Would and already have recommended the Stable House

This is a cozy eatery located in a good location on South Granville. They had a nice local artisan cheese selection and decent wine list. I had the duck confit and my husband had a lamb shank. These dishes were just okay. Service was attentive though. It was a quiet Saturday nite.

Very happy to have a corner table as the place is lively. Limited number of entrees; would have both choices again but must try the other two. Liked the wine by the glass selection too.

Great for pre or post theatre.
Close to Pacific Theatre and Stanley
Small menu but all excellent creative choices.
Great service.
Quiet but not too quiet.
Much more of a restaurant experience than their website implies.
Not just a "sit at the bar and have some appies" place, this is a proper
(albeit small) restaurant with substantial meal choices.
Tired of West, Vij's, Ousi? Then try Stable House.
