With our everchanging menu, seasonal & local inspiration and forward approach to dining, our commitment to excellence shows in everything we do. From our in house butchery or cooking over charcoal, to working with local suppliers in our community We challenge the way we all think about Food & Drink.

    The Chef's table is a 7-course, exclusive blind Tasting Menu, composed of the best of the season. These are ring side seats right in front of the Kitchen where you will get to see and experience the stress, pressure and rapid fire execution of how a fast-paced restaurant engine runs. This is not for the faint-hearted, your experience will give you a front row seat to how it all goes down. Strap in, it's going to be a hell of a ride. Elevate your experience with pairings from our reserve wine list or a mixology pairing form our bar team. Please note that we are unable to accommodate vegetarian, dairy/egg allergies, seafood allergies or aversions to raw meat/seafood.     Very professional and friendly staff! Amazing food and drinks ! Only suggestion I have please can you get rid of those very deep bowls you serve some dishes in ? I had a duck that was delicious but could not find a comfortable way to operate fork and knife inside the dip bowl :) Regardless amazing restaurant!! Thank you !

    From the second we walked in the door, we knew that we were going to have a great experience. Ryan, I believe that is our waiter’s name, was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and just a wonderful human being. The food was amazing! We will definitely be back.

    We went to The Standard for our anniversary and had a lovely meal. We were given exceptional service by Abigail and Alex. Abigail was attentive but not overbearing, the time between courses was perfectly timed and the drinks came quickly. Loved the music and the decor/vibe. We will definitely be returning!!

    The open kitchen concept makes for a very unique environment. I would recommend hearing the specials and listening to the server for recommendations based on what they have that is popular at that time. Great atmosphere paired with delicious well plated food.

    The Standard is a really good restaurant for dinner with friends or as a couple. The menu is small, the service is outstanding and the prices for most of the menu items are pretty reasonable. Well worth a second visit!

    Amazing experience, great ambience and well decorated. The hanger steak plus egg was so flavourful and cooked exactly how I asked for it, customer service beautiful. Anthony was professional, friendly, nice to talk to and knows his cocktails! I highly recommend this restaurant for brunch. Will have to come back and try dinner there. Love the place!

    We loved our brunch visit… the biscuits were good, so was the smoked montreal meat and dessert. My bf didn’t really enjoy the cocktails but everything else was nice. Plus our server Leah/Liv (forgot what it was, sorry!) was attentive and cool.. loved the ambiance, the other servers were also very nice. It was a nice brunch date in Hamilton ☺️
