   This is not the place to go to have a quiet conversation over dinner. My food was poor as the pork chop was almost all bone and fat with very little meat. Even the dessert was poorly prepared.

   I love that you can have such a great set of options for food and of course amazing cocktails in our small town in Central Kentucky. We were dining early (6:30-8:00 on a weekday), so easy conversation was at its best.

   Our server, Emily was great!! Very friendly, funny and knowledgable about all aspects of food and beverage choices. The drinks were delicious and there’s no word bigger than scrumptious to describe the food. I had the chicken schnitzel and my hubs had the salmon. Nothing was left and we couldn’t stop eating. Lol! We didn’t have room bit we got the banana bread pudding, anyway. Outstanding! Noise level was only ‘moderate’ due to a noisy, loud group next to us , who’s voices carried and boomed, but at least they were entertaining. Highly recommend The Still!

    Food was the best. The service (Autumn) was polite, knowledgeable and outstanding service. She provided great recommendations along with explaining or answering any questions we had. They just completed a remodel and opened back up 3 days before. Good room and we had reservations with no wait. We will be back again for sure. Recommend everyone to try The Still.     Drove in from Bardstown with 3 new guests to dine. It was just as amazing when I helped a few years ago open the restaurant. I even heard about a possible expansion on the kitchen and that’s amazing news.

    The menu was not very good. They don’t have a salad that you can get with your entree. They are all entree salads. So I ended up just getting the wedge with grilled chicken. The flavors were good but the chicken was such a small portion. For 22 dollars I expected more. Wouldn’t go back.

    Valentine Day Dinner. Outstanding food. I have found a new favorite place. This is not comfort food. This is fine dining food. Bar area is focal point of the room as this is part of a distillery. Service was good and staff seemed happy and attentive. I’m definitely trying again during normal business as this was a special pre fixe menu.

    Exceptional service, knowledgeable staff, quaint little restaurant with an amazing love story. The food was wonderful, and we enjoyed the effort the owners made to keep everything local. The only reason we gave a lower rating to the “overall” category, was because of the seating. For a higher end restaurant like this, with a reservation made in advance, we did not expect to have to sit at a hightop (with unstable chairs). We expected a nice intimate table or booth. However, the food, service, and general experience, will have us returning.

    Fantastic wait staff, lovely food, perfect ambiance; absolutely the best place to eat in Danville and can compare to really good places in the city of Lexington. It's also a great place to work--very good to its employees and staff, which means a lot to me.

    Food was good, but due to a technical order error our appetizer was served after a long wait with our two entrees. Our server offered to remove the appetizer charge from our bill which we agreed to. When bill was presented only half of charge was removed. We have recommended this restaurant to many but left last night with a bad taste in our mouth and it wasn’t the food.

    We have eaten here sever times but all pre-pandemic. My main complaint was that food and price point are on the higher end, but our server (everyone wearing a matching logo tshirt) seemed lower end. There were only 4? Other tables occupied in the restaurant and it took ?10 min to get a drink order. And then our drinks (nonalcoholic). Then she wanted our appetizer order. I had to ask specifically to place our entree order and there was no explanation of menu or discussion of specials. It was very basic. I ordered Brussels sprouts as a side and this was never brought. Just nothing special for an expensive bill.

    Everything was simply perfect. Cocktails were perfectly presented and so yummy! Each course of the meal was delectable - gah, the flavors!!!! Service was gracious, attentive and pleasant! The Still is just perfection.

    The New Years Eve service was not only extraordinary. it nearly defied belief that a restaurant in central Kentucky could present such an exquisite menu prepared and served so perfectly that it exceeded expectations typical for highest end urban restaurants. All four courses were divine, the service impeccable. We are lucky indeed to have such culinary talent so close to home.

    We had the Flatbread, Kale Caesar W/ Chicken, and the Creamy Butternut Squash Pasta. There were to many stems in the precut Kale Salad, and the Chicken was cooked to shoe leather. The Strozzapreti pasta was over cooked and the cream sauce had little or no flavor. For these prices I hope your Chef spends a little more attention to detail.

    Everything about our experience was excellent. It was an icy evening, so not crowded. Emily, our server, was full of detailed helpful information about the menu. Service was quick, we felt very comfortable and not rushed. Plans to return are already underway. Limited menu but excellent. We enjoyed the shrimp and grits and pasta, along with the cauliflower appetizer. All were delicious!

    Fantastic menu choices at a fair price point with some of the best service in recent memory. Excellent drinks made from spirits produced onsite. I had the mussels as an entree with extra grilled bread for that delicious sauce. My wife had the chicken schnitzel which covered the plate. Went with family from Danville but I would drive from Lexington to try this gem.

    My wife and I both had small plate sandwich meals -- both excellent and creative. Cocktails were well done (one was a Manhattan with Brazil rum instead of bourbon). We were there early, 6pm, and things were still quiet. High reference for The Still.

    Met up withmy best friend for supper. We both had grilled cheese with tomato basil dip. She had fries, I had the street corn. Everything tasted great and our server was excellent. She had a signature drink and I enjoyed the sangria. The place is small, so it’s a little loud especially when they invite live music, but everyone should go at least once and enjoy what they have to offer.
