We booked a table in the Dining Room on Saturday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary and hoped to try the chefs tasting menu, the option to book in the dining room should be removed from Open Table as it is closed for renovations and only the bar and bar menu is available, it was pleasant but we would have appreciated a call from the resturant to let us know the fine dining was closed as we wouldn't have chosen to eaten in the bar for a special occasion and would have booked elsewhere if we had known.

I booked Mother's Day brunch well in advance. They were very accommodating about moving our time and seating the 5 of us. Unfortunately, I booked this restaurant based on reviews of the view and ambience. Instead, we were seated in the lounge with sport screens and the bar. Other families were there as well. Not the nicest for a special meal out. The food however was fantastic. Excellent meat and seafood selections. Very attentive staff. When booking, try to ensure you mention that you would like a window or a view.

Disappointed from last time we visited. I think it is a little off season. Ordered bruschetta and was served with corn tortilla chips!!! Service was below average. Had to ask for everything. Girls in experienced and not attentive. Sorry won’t come back.

We loved the food at the lounge even so it’s not what I originally wanted to ended up with my family but my mistake on my end. I want to go to the Sterling Grill Restaurant side Not the Lounge to celebrate my husband’s birthday but I have no idea that the restaurant side only open certain days.on weekends. But it didn’t ruin our night as we still enjoyed our time at the lounge.Food was great,Service was fantastic,drinks are good too👍🏼-And this is all what matters.We’ll definitely come back again.And would love to try the restaurant area too one day.

Food was absolute delicious. Highly recommend the steak and Scottish chowder. Drinks were also very good. We dined in the lounge and the ambiance was great for a date night get away, but the dining room was very loud, I think possibly a wedding party was there. All in all a great experience.

We had lunch at the Stirling lounge. We ate along the windows, so the view was excellent. Food was very good as we both had a regular burger. Good food, great ambience as it was quiet with a view. Prices are high, but that is to be expected in Canmore and at finer dining establishments. No complaints

Got the burger and it was okay not what i would expect from here. Their food is usually amazing, but the burger was just okay. We had the kid's burger at another restaurant in town and it was better. The kids loved the pasta and the chicken fingers and fries.

Overpriced and overrated in our opinion. 45 mins for a three course meal! I wasn’t pleased for our main course to be brought when I was still half way through the starter. I appreciate over the holiday period I’d expect to pay more, but as regular diners out, we were very disappointed indeed.

Hoster Insisted to order xmas package($85 per person) told us that there were only limited menu. poor explanation of menu (confirmed the rip supposed to come with bone but it wasnt) and tast. Order rare beef and medium rare. But it was blue. Oh veg was uncooked When we complained the food, waitress told us to come back tomorrow then she will provide normal menu. Spent over $200 for nothing. Thanks to have worst xmas

The Christmas Dinner was excellent and the service was prompt and cheerful. The potatoes were outstanding - I would love the recipe! The second appetizer was very interesting - who knew celery could be so delicious? A table by a window in the dining room would have been preferable seating as it was somewhat noisy and hectic where we were. As we were leaving we learned that such a placement could have been possible. Below - Only for a casual meal.

The Malcolm is a wonderful Place to stay! From the moment we arrived the staff were so helpful and friendly. We went as a mother/Daughters trip and if was my first time in the Rockys. The location in Canmore is incredible. The views from every directions are stunning. We ate in the Stirling Lounge 3 times during our stay. 2 dinners and 1 brunch. All our food was delicious. The Salmon burger was my favourite. We has amazing servers, extremely friendly and provided amazing service. Would highly recommend.

To be clear, our server was top notch professional and she was put in a horrible situation. We booked a table to have an annual holiday outing after the crowning of the tree. We booked the table weeks in advance planning for time to view the trees after the festivities in the hotel. Instead we got rewarded with a 2 hour wait for our food only for half of it to arrive luke warm. Not once did a food service manager come to speak with us or express any concern as they were more attentive to the party crowd than the table of women and children having their holiday dinner. Will not go back and see that Canmore’s Luxury hotel has a long way to go to meet the world standard for luxury service. It is unfortunate as I thought this would be an annual holiday event we would attend but we will go with the professionals instead of here.
