Loved this place! The food and service were great! We were taking my dad out for his birthday lunch, and they went out of their way to make him feel special on his day 😁 Thank you!

Will go again for their brunch services, apparently brunch is their strong point, dinner was so so.

It becomes one of our breakfast spot every week. The almond croissant is always the best. Reservation is highly recommended as it is a relatively small restaurant. The seating are always promising if you reserved a table. Found some reviews about the seating, however, it was never an issue to me during months of visiting. Saturday and Sunday are usually full house, so be prepared and make reservation well in advance. I am going to try out for dinner as the Lobster Fest is going on in March.

A fantastic Eatery in Richmond! We have dined here 3 times recently and have been impressed with the food, service & ambiance on each visit. Quality ingredients prepared beautifully with delicious coffee & homemade pastries. Try the seafood chowder, the pesto prawn pizza & ANYTHING off the brunch menu! The exceptional service by "Havi" is friendly & attentive and will keep us coming back, along with the delicious food. Our new favourite Café! ❤

The food is good portion, price and quality. Staff are very responsive and friendly.
Reservations required at this point but they seat you on time.

The friendly staff & the delicious food is the reason why I always come back & enjoy my time in the establishment. The design of the restaurant is very cool. Don’t miss the live music nights. You do need to book ahead because there is always a lineup. People love it.

it was a bit quiet in there, our table was definitely the loudest. food was great, pizza was ok but lobster gnocchi and pochachos were awesome. wine was cheap. definitely will be returning

Food was good. Lobster bisque not overly creamy which is good. I had the ribeye steak and it was the thin 1/2 inch type. Just not my cup of tea. Foie gras was very good. Overall it’s a nice restaurant, a bit pricey tho. Might visit again.

My experience at The Story Cafe was underwhelming. I was disappointed to see they offered no gluten free alternatives. The high prices did not reflect the food quality. My eggs tasted like they were coated in bacon grease, my $3 avocado add-on was not even half of an avocado and I was charged $1 for a hot water with a lemon garnish (that is a first for me). The espresso was great, the servers were kind and cheerful and the ambiance seemed to be aiming for a trendy industrial look. Would I go back? If it were just for a good latte yes, but food? Probably not.

Other than the cutlery was missing , we got good food, service is ok that evening. However the hostess in the morning shift is fantastic, she is energetic , friendly n has pretty good interaction with guests.

This was our first visit. The ambience, service and food were all very good. One of us was celebrating a birthday and was give a complimentary cheese cake. Have already recommended it to a few friends.

Every time I bring a business acquaintance to The Story for a meeting, the response is always the same "WoW....what an awesome cafe". Great venue, great food, great ambiance and amazing staff. It's a 2 minute walk from Bridgeport Skytrain station (Canada Line), so I stay in Richmond and my business acquaintances come from Vancouver on Skytrain and we meet at The Story. Saves a lot of hassle and people enjoy coming out for a breakfast or lunch meeting it gives them a break from the "home office" and I can assure you that The Story has created an amazingly good Covid safe environment. Congratulations all round to them.

It’s worth it. Book the rezo, show up, eat good food, be treated well and leave happy. Enjoy.

Went there for Valentine's Day, it was set menu, limited choice and quite expensive for what it offer. 75 buck each person. the portion is much smaller than what it usually offers. It is hard to run a restaurant business now, but trying to charge more and serve less isn't gonna promote the business.
Been there few times for lunch and dinner,
i love the food there, it is inexpensive and exceptionally good.
the service is hit and miss, some staffs are quick on request, some just takes their time like... other can finish it 10 times and s/he will finally show up.

Food is great, affordable and fits the budget.

Beautiful decor and a nostalgic display of cameras, typewriters, LPs, etc. Brunch choices were excellent and the service was very friendly. A must try.

This is a lovely little restaurant! We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary dinner here. The meals were delicious - I had Seafood Linguine and my husband had Seafood Risotto. Service was excellent and the restaurant has taken the appropriate precautions for Covid-19. We will definitely be back.

Small place, cozy and nicely decorated. Food is tasty and had a good dinning experience. I will recommend this place for people who are looking to just sit down have a snack, coffee/tea and chit chat.

Table was late . Good value and decent food but wait time not worth. Also food came out at random times half the table was done eating before the 2nd half started- friendly service

I had the chicken and waffles, which is a dish that's hard to go wrong, but I've definitely had better / bigger portions. Not a lot of seasoning going on but still delicious.

Would recommend an extra spicy caesar. Very delicious.
