wow, their own interpretation of the old fashioned and the saszrac will impressed the most season cocktail lovers. Must try when you are in Vancouver, Canada!
Asked for window seats during reservation and during the phone confirmation but was still brought to the inside table while all the window tables were empty. The whole time we were there only one other table showed up. Server missed our scones and took forever to refill our tea. Not to mention they use tea bags not tea leaves. Not worth it IMO.
It was to celebrate mom's bday, and treated her for an afternoon tea. The experience was exceptionally great.
Special cake has been prepared for mom by the chef, and it turned out to be breathtaking presentation haha...of course it was good.
The overall experience was very pleasure.
Not the best tea services in town
Generally good environment for dating or hangouts. Tables are too low to comfortably have food. This place is more like for afternoon tea other than dinner. Service is outstanding and staff have good understanding of what they are recommending.
We were a group of six for the dine out. The service and food was very good. One negative point was the seating arrangement, with low coffee tables and backless stools to sit on it was very uncomfortable.
If the hotel wants to participate in dine out they should provide proper sitting so that their guest can enjoy the ambiance and the food. I hope next year they will provide proper seating arrangement. All other amenities and the food was very good. Service was excellent.
Champagne Lounge is good for finger food and drinks but not for dinner.
Nice environment and service, good food presentation.
Surprisingly awesome. Get past the Trump stuff, it is a great venue, really cool unique drinks and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Nice space
Was here for Dine Out Vancouver - wonderful food and exceptional service - interesting and vibrant interior, comfortable lounge seating.
The dine out menu was good value ! The food and service was greatl! Nice and comfy sitting, perfect for friends gethering in a comfy and quiet but fancy place . Will go again.
We attended the "Dine out"..our first time there... and the food, service, ambiance was great. We will be back.
took my umbrella when I walked in, and when I left it was gone. It had been placed in a communal stand, not secured with my name or table number.
After I called to complain the following day, they called once to confirm what it looked like, but have not called back with an update.
Overall great experience and friendly service. Just surprised when there was no offer to hang our coats upon entry.
Lounge seats are right behind the front glass door. Lights too bright, not warm and cozy. Atmosphere non exist. So quiet. Not lively. Will not go back.
Was good ! Will return :)
Stopped by for lunch during the dine out Vancouver 2018 festival, just to see what it was like. The decor was elegant, if upscale, made for a chic date out on the town. From the first moment to the last, the servers were extremely attentive and pleasant, never obtrusive, yet available. The dishes were tasty and inventive, with the exception of the chocolate banana pudding, I had to check the menu again to see what was in it, because I just couldn't place the white barley looking porridge on top of the pudding. Turns out it was passion fruit pudding. ... Ha. Last but not least, the ladies' room, the true mark of excellence: very flattering lighting.
We went to the Trump Lounge for dineout vancouver. The service was great but the food was disappointing. Presentation and taste was not luxurious. It was a nice lounge to sit and chat.
The experience was really good. Food tasted great and the wine was excellent due to the sommelier. The service was very good. Definitely will return.
Our Dine Out experience was wonderful. Our server was very friendly and the other wait staff were all very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed and comfortable being in the lounge. Menu was very good at a very reasonable $30 for Dine Out. Octopus appy was excellent and so was the tuna. Lamb shank entree was excellent and so was the lingcod. Apple crumble dessert was delicious. We are very glad we tried took the opportunity to try the lounge. Old Fashioned was very nicely made! Overall great experience here!
Table is uncomfortable for people to eat. Food is good and serivice is good as well
lt was a lovely evening, delicious food, and a wonderful waitress.
The service was amazing and the staff were personable. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. I would definitely come back!
Visited during Dine Out. I choose the Albacore tuna starter with burrata cheese sauce and opted for the wine pairing of Tantalus Blanc de Noir 2013. The sparkling wine was dry and paired perfectly with the tuna which was smoky and delicious & was accompanied by a variety of homemade pickles. I cleaned up my plate! Next up: lamb shank with butternut squash purée and seasonal vegetables. This was paired with 2014 Great Northern Zinfandel. Wine was lush and stood up well with the lamb shank, which was done nicely. Lamb shank was perfectly executed - so tender & flavourful. It held its shape until my fork touched it, whereupon literally fell off the bone. The butternut squash purée provided a wonderful lightness to the dish. Definitely not your usual heavy and overwhelming lamb shank. The apple crumble was served in an adorable square mini cast iron pan with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was loaded with cinnamony apples and wasn’t too sweet. A perfect finish to a very enjoyable meal. The only negative, which I knew going in, coz the restaurant hostess had called a few days ahead ensuring I was made aware of, so I’m not holding it against them, was the seating arrangement. Being a lounge, the tables are low and the seats are sofa style so it wasn’t ideal for dining. Other than that, Trump Champagne Lounge served up an impressive and scrumptious menu and I can’t wait to go back and try their other dishes.
The lounge was very nicely decorated. We went there for Dine Out Vancouver. The menu was very good and the value was excellent. The only thing was we sat on sofas and ate from a coffee table, which was low in height. It was not the most comfortable position to eat a meal. We were told of this arrangement when we confirmed our reservation, so this is not a complaint, just beware.
Went to Trump Champagne Lounge for the first time, and it was Dine Out Vancouver dinner at $30 which was an incredible deal in terms of price, food quality, presentation and service. I have searched online to look at previous reviews and found many "hate" messages like swearing out of no reason. IF there is any discrepancy in food or service, these people should elaborate what they dislike, so obviously they have not even dined there but made the judgement call for the "TRUMP" brand. When people made unjustified comments by swearing, they should respect the staff who work hard and provide their best service. From the moment I walked in, there is always attentive staff from hostess to servers and busboys. The food did not go down in quality with the low Dine out price of $30. The 3 of us have ordered appetizers: Burrata cheese, homemade pickle vegetables, albacore aburi style and Grilled octopus, crushed fingerling potato, black olives, toasted pistachio, balsamic dressing. The Octopus was cooked just perfect, which can be easily overcooked with chewy texture. The albacore was fresh and presented in a generous portion. For entrees, we have ordered: Slow cooked lamb shank, butternut squash puree and seasonal vegetables and Roasted lingcod, white bean fricassee, green onion and smoked pancetta. Both main dishes were beautifully placed and tasty but not salty. Last but not least, we ordered these desserts: Apple crumble with vanilla ice cream and
Chocolate banana, and passion fruit pudding, chocolate shavings. The Apple crumble was crunchy and had a nice twist to be presented in a tiny cast iron pan, and the chocolate banana dessert was very original with mix of citrus and cocoa flavor. The only reason we didn't give a 5 stars rating is due to the seating. It is a lounge, so it is drinks table at knee high and we had to bend our back for the 3-courses. Other than that, the dining experience was perfect!
Sorry but Not my favourite ..
we wanted to order caviar, it turned out not! it is not clear why the site does not write about it
The server dropped our food on the floor. The servers are all not very professional.
We enjoyed the ambiance, service, Authentic, foods, relax and the overall friendly customer service personnel.
We were very happy for the whole time of sitting. We booked our next dinner on Feb. 04, 2018 right after our lunch.
We haven’t been there before this was our first time. It’s a place for cocktails and appetizers but not for Dine Out. It’s hard to eat a meal like Lamb, Fish or Pasta while seating on the sofa with low tables. The service was okay our waitress was trying but other people just stood there and no one was helping to clean the tables or ask if we need anything else. The Apple Crumble came in a skillet but was cold and that’s not apple crumble to me.
The food was really delicious. We went for dine-out and the 3-course meal was definitely worth $30.00. The appetizer alone was a 'gem'. Grilled Octopus was really tasty. The only cons is the seating because it's a lounge, so they do not have proper tables and chairs. Just sofa and coffee table, so you have to bend your body to eat.
very awkward seating for dineout. Ate 3 course meal sitting on couch/coffee table with hotel guests walking in and out.
Don't let the name fool you! We felt welcome from the moment we stepped through the door, good selection from Dine Out menu and great service from our wonderful waitress (Japanese). A must go!!!
We LOVED our waitress! (I think it was yuyi?) Great service and very accommodating. The food as better we expected, but smaller portioned than expected as well....we get it's dine out...but my fiance was still hungry afterwards. The atmosphere was casual and laid back. Only down side were the tables that we're coffee table height, but we didn't mind it that much. Will definitely come back...hopefully their portions will be bigger with decent pricing!! A little disappointed on the apple vs crumble proportion in the apple crumble..we want more apples! Overall, a great dinner date before a comedy show.
I was there for the Dine Out event and everything was very good. Food very fresh and cocktails perfectly made!!!!
Went with a friend for Dine-Out Vancouver and can safely say that I would not come back as I would never pay full price for the quality of food and service.
Always love coming here, drinks are top notch and service is always great.
The Christmas brunch was impressive. All the food was delicious with elegant displays. The prime ribs were the best. We were surprised by the variety of dishes in the buffet such as Aburi sushi, fresh oysters, Alaskan king crab, and turkey. We were very happy, but if the tables were higher it would have been more enjoyable . I understand that it was a drinking lounges, but the tables were a little too low for us to enjoy the full experience and eat comfortably.
It's just a Hotel lobby lounge. Calling it Champagne Lounge is makes it sound much better than it really is.
