Was a good overall experience until we were paying our bill. server Amanda stated “oh, she does not have any money” and “well, it looks like you wont be washing dishes in the back” she announced it in earshot of everyone. at lunch. In the middle of peak hours. Had to email the place with what transpired and they were quite prompt and quick to reply. i was given assurance that it will be addressed which kind helped us feel not so bad about it. Aside from the attitude, food was good!

The service and food were excellent! We visited Banff last year and discovered the Vermillion Room and had an excellent server Jeremy and a wonderful meal. A return to the Vermillion Room was in our plans for this year and when we arrived we found that our server again was Jeremy who treated us like royalty. The food and ambiance again was excellent.

The choices we made were god ones: beef tartare and salmon with black lentils. However, we wished the menu had been somewhat larger. Salmon was the only seafood entree offered. The room had nice decor, but it looked like a place where they serve a brunch buffet (don’t know if that’s true, since we didn’t stay at the hotel) and the ambience was marred by contemporary pop music at higher than a background level. We had hoped for a more elegant experience.

The brunch in the Vermillion was not the same as before it was moved to Vermillion room. It was far superior upstairs. There was a better selection of food upstairs. The ambiance was not the same as before. I brought my sister for brunch and was disappointed and will not recommend to friends, family or co-workers.

A very good evening and the food is excellent but don’t expect an inexpensive meal. The Vermillion Room is very large and initially felt crowded and noisy. We were seated at a table for two by the window looking out on the garden which was excellent and allowed us to turn our backs on the busy main restaurant.

The food was good but I’ll tell you we were expecting more at that price point. There was only one (!!!) egg dish (eggs Benedict which was my fave thing they served). The chicken apple sausage was terrible. Where we’re the scrambling eggs? Where was the fancy quiche? I expected much more variety. The hotel Blackfoot in Calgary has far more variety and is cheaper though the atmosphere is a little dated comparably. The power also went off for 20 mins and we ate in the dark so it wasn’t the best experience though I can’t blame them. It felt really average.

$75 for the best brunch you will ever have in your life. Prime Rib, Lamb, Brussel Sprouts (to die for), Chicken, Waffles (with all the fixings), Pancakes, Vegetables, Charcutterie, Cheeses, Fresh Baked Goods, Bread Puddings, Creme Brûlée...So much more it's absolutely amazing.

Amazing food selection. Met up with our son for Sunday brunch to celebrate his 25th birthday. Large & varied selection of food, constantly topped up as needed. Prompt and attentive service from Neil and who surprised us with a cake for our son. (H even remember us when we attended on the Tuesday for breakfast). Would definitely recommend a visit.

We found the service to be inattentive and well below standards for a restaurant of this price range. The food was good/decent, but again relatively underwhelming compared to the cost. Ambiance was amazing, even with poor weather outside. There are other on-site options that are far superior and many higher quality fine-dining options in town. Disappointing overall.

Been going to brunch at Banff springs for 30+ years. Have to say it’s not what it was, definitely not at the current price. The biggest concern I had was the “wet dog” smell on some of the dishes/glasses. Not nice. Food is good but certainly not spectacular. The yearly tradition may end this year 😔

Have not been back to the Springs in years. Had the opportunity to dine in The Vermillion Room. What a wonderful delightful evening. The food was delicious , the ambiance was exceptional with the lightning storm we had privy to by the window., wine selection and cocktail menu outstanding, but it was our server PJ that made our evening. This young man was knowledgeable, professional, witty and very helpful. After inquiring whether either of us had allergies he helped us with our menu selections. Oysters fresh, Charcuterie Board expertly explained , wine glasses filled , and the Prime Rib suggestion was right on, and my love of desserts satisfied. One of the best memorable evenings I've enjoyed in a long time. Have had the privilege to dine at some exquisite Restaurants in North and South America and the Vermillion Room is definitely induced in my favorites. Thank you to the Chef and the serving staff ,PJ and all the sub waiters , and the lovely hostess too.
