This was our first time having dinner at Verona Woods; I had been there once before for lunch. We enjoyed everything about it; the food, the very good service, & the decor. Nice menu options from burgers to steak to seafood & pasta. Highly recommend the almond crusted salmon. Will definitely be back!

We have dined here several times and the food has been outstanding each time. The only draw back is the noise level. The main dining area can get quit loud at times. Otherwise we love the Verona Woods.

First of all, our server, Tiffany, was outstanding. She was informative and attentive but did not crowd us. The wine list was acceptable, and the best part is that they do not over mark-up heir wines. We had a Sonoma Chardonnay for $30 that retails for $20. It nicely matched the pasta dishes we had. The menu is large and diverse, but not unmanageable. We each had a different pasta dish. One was a light cream sauce that was very tasty. The drawback was that the noodles were a little over cooked. The second pasta dish was the shrimp pesto. Very tasty and not salty. Side salads were fresh, except there was some wilted lettuce. The dressings were homemade: very tasty and light. We ordered ala carte garlic mashed potatoes just to try them. They were fantastic. Overall, reasonably priced, excellent taste and a great experience. We will defininately return.

I found the Verona Woods by browsing through restaurants that were available for a reservation about an hour from when I wanted to eat and was very impressed with the menu so decided to try it out and I was not disappointed! Their cocktail list could be larger but overall I liked the Caramel Apple Old Fashioned. A friend and I went for dinner and instead of ordering a meal, we just ordered a variety of appetizers (tapas essentially) because the appetizer's were all so appealing! Our favorite hands down was the Brie Apple Sliders... it sounds weird, but SO good! We will definitely be back!

This was our second time at the Verona Woods and both instances were exceptional. Other than the traditional Friday fish fry fare, they had two very creative fish entrees which were very good, as they should be with a head chef who has been trained in culinary arts. It is also nice that the owner comes by the table to check on your experience. This will be a regular dining destination for us.

We were celebrating Father's Day early this past Friday evening. We arrived early to enjoy a glass of wine, but the music was so loud, we could not hear one another. I am all for great music, but you should be able to visit with your party comfortably. I had heard that the noise was a concern from others, but I was hoping they were wrong. Definitely not the case. My Father ordered a beer, and it never came. The service in the bar was really sub-standard, and they were not even that busy. When we ordered our meal, I ordered the baked cod, and when it came out, I was given the fried version. I then asked for the baked, which took an extreme amount of time. Everyone else was done with their meal when mine arrived. I did share this with the manager when he came around to ask how things were going, but nothing came of that. Overall, I was really disappointed.

Lots of potential, but missing a few things to equal others in its class. Decor us great and very nice bar area greets you. Finish area in sections in a long space. We had a table for two along the Windows. Orders drinks. My wife enjoyed her unassuming Chardonnay, but my dirty martini was barely dirty and devoid of the listed blue cheese stuffed olives. Not a good start. Out salads were fresh and the blue cheese dressing had a chunk or two of a smooth blue. I had the halibut and my wife the ribeye. The menu talks about the locally sourced meat... from Iowa. Locking or not it was average through prepared as requested. The add on fried leaks were skimpy and thus didn't add much. The star of the meal was the roasted Brussel sprouts. A wee bit too much balsamic vinegar glaze but cooked perfectly and with a nice salty balance with the fried lardon chunks. My fish was a few minutes past cooked, but acceptable. The Asian inspired cream sauce was too, but the couscous was a miss. Hunks of couscous and it mixed into the sauce creating a grittiness that detracted from the dish. Side of fried spinach was garli yummy. I really wanted to like this place, but it was only ok. Verona needs a decent sit down place to balance out the fast food, sports pubs and average supper clubs. This could be it, but until they bring the kitchen up a notch.

A beautifully decorated restaurant with a gorgeous bar/lounge area. We had a larger group for a graduation celebration and everyone's food was perfect and amazingly delicious which was a plus. The noise level does get a little loud but that may just be the layout of the building design. As for the service, friendly staff but still a bit slow. I had read previous reviews so we knew this may be an issue when we went there. I think if they can improve their service levels this will be a great addition for foodies in the Verona area. I will definitely go there again to give it another try.

The service was very slow and inattentive. I think the manager was aware he had a problem because he kept stopping by various tables to check in, and he ended up just bringing us our drinks himself. The Saturday night rib special was good, though the jalapeño corn muffin was stale. My husband liked the halibut. He ordered a side salad to go along. It never arrived until he asked, so it came after the entre. It was very loud, even though we were seated in the back dining room. Closer to the bar would have been intolerable. I don't think we'll go back soon.

I had the walley. VERY disappointed very small, over cooked and bones. And they had an upcharge for everything. My friend needed a little white sauce for her chicken and they charged $1.00 for just a Little. Disappointing

The food was "meh". I ordered the beef tips which were okay in the way your grandma might have made them: bland. No discernible effort to energize the dish with spices or wine etc. My wife said the tiger shrimp dish was okay, shrimp was good but dish was over sauced. I ordered a grey hound and they did not have any grapefruit juice; not exactly an exotic request. I can't say I would jump at the choice to dine there again. Not an auspicious entrance either. The front of house person couldn't find our reservation and then when she did find it she spent several minutes in silence fiddling with her iPad while we stood and waited to be seated. They've been open long enough to not have things running more smoothly.

Let me preface this by saying we've never had a bad experience at The Verona Woods however this last visit left us questioning whether it will remain consistent. We had a 6:45 reservation for three for my wife's birthday. When we arrived we were told our table was being cleared and we'd be seated shortly. We waited an additional fifteen to twenty minutes (not inordinate) and the hostess took as to a table for two. She pushed another table together to accommodate our party however a table for four (of which there were some available) would have been better for conversation. We ordered a Martini, however they were way past the slightly dirty I asked for. We never received our appetizer, the cheese curds as we love the dipping sauce and never received a refill on our water. Service was slow and overall we came away disappointed with our experience. We will return however we will be more vocal if we are not pleased with our experience.

A very welcome addition to the Verona food scene. We've already got some really good eating spots but this one really stands out in all aspects. Because of it's quickly growing popularity, I would advise getting a reservation rather than just stopping in.

The only thing wrong was trying to get On Star" to find the restaurant. It's apparently not on the maps yet. We got very close... there is no "958"! So they said, On Star called restaurant & they said they were too busy!to tell their location & they hung up on them!!! Lol... But when we found it, what a great place!! The salmon was "to die for..." Waiter may have been a bit new, but we all were once in a life time, we would go back there anytime!!

We chose the Verona Woods for a birthday dinner on a Sunday evening for my husband and best girlfriend who share a birthday. Of seven diners, 2 of the steak dinners were not prepared to the requested doneness and had to be sent back. Flavors were good, but the presentation was not pleasing--very brown with overcooked, vegetables. I would say too much emphasis on balsamic vinegar. Just a little chopped herbs can brighten an otherwise blah plate. The waiter was non-existent for most of the meal. Water ran out, drinks went empty. Our wine was not served we were almost finished with our main course. Overall, we were disappointed, but made the best of it. We'll probably give the place another try for a weekday dinner and hope the situation is improved. A finer dining restaurant like this is really needed in Verona, and we would like to see the place succeed.

The service and atmosphere were very good. We never waited for service, our waiter was very attentive. This was our first time at this restaurant and we will return again soon; the drive from Madison was worthwhile. We would like to return when the weather is warmer because we noted a large and comfortable outdoor seating area.

Nicely decorated restaurant and clean. Food was good, but portion was very small. 3 asparagus sprigs seems way too small! I have been here 3 times and I would have to say the service not far from good, last time we went our server was horrible!! So slow, and no sense of urgency when waiting on the tables, also very little personality or even friendliness from any server I have had at this Restaurant. Besides the slow service and lack of personally from the wait staff food was good and affordable for what you are getting in Verona. The decor and location is the biggest plus. I am hopeful that service will improve once it has been up and running for a while.

Great food. Plates were at wrong end of buffet and there weren't enough of them. My party had to reuse our plates - that was weird. Food was great. Had a reservation and still had to wait 20 min for seating. Front desk staff was not overly welcoming. Sort of looked up and waited for me to announce my intentions.
