The View - Maligne Lake
The food was excellent and the service was great.
A nice spot to unwind, relax, and enjoy the magnificent Maligne Lake.
Beautiful location to have a meal out on the patio. The waitress was quick and efficient and the manager was very friendly and a wealth of information.
A little hard to find as the name of the restaurant was only visible inside the main building.
Will definitely go back again!
Wonderful atmosphere. Kind and courteous staff. Very willing to accommodate dietary needs even with small menu.
The View is true to it's name, excellent! The food is excellent as well but it is pricey. Moderate sized portions. Our server was friendly and helpful but the manager was visibly stressed and short with diners. Patience required due to Covid-19.
Unfortunately the weather wasn't that great when we ate here, which was not the fault of the restaurant. We started outside and then to moved inside. We had made a reservation for 5:30. The waitress was polite to us, but actually quite rude to two other couples that were there at the same time. She kept stating that the kitchen closed at 6 and if they didn't hurry up and order they wouldn't get any food (kind of ridiculous when we had a reservation for 5:30). Her attitude was overall not considerate of the guests which was disappointing and added a real negative to our experience. She also did not explain any of the drinks or food items, so the cocktails we ordered, for example, were a surprise, not what we expected, and we actually didn't enjoy either of them. We felt like that was a real waste of $30. We did the $44/person option for a 3 course meal. The food was actually delicious. The butternut squash bisque was amazing. The mains were done really well. The dessert was pretty meh. I'm pretty sure it was a teensy bite of the assorted cheesecake from costco and one of the assorted mini maccarons from costco as well. Overall, I was hoping for a romantic and memorable experience with my husband for our anniversary and felt pretty disappointed afterward. The food was a check mark, but the experience and service was a big no thank you to return in the future.
Excellent restaurant. Would definitely eat here again. Friendly staff, delicious meals and of course, an incredible view.
The food more than matched the Gorgeous view of the lake. Excellent staff. Very hospitable. Waitress volunteered to take our 25th anniversary photo! Loved it!
We were here on a gorgeous sunny day and were luck enough to be seated right up by the glass with an unobstructed view. It's absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed a couple appetizers and drinks which were delicious. We will definitely return.
Wonderful view and the food was amazing! Worth the drive
Our server was attentive, friendly, made time to connect to talk about the wine (Fielding Pinot Gris was great!) and made us feel welcome and appreciated. Thank you!
Was just a nice place to be, in the Majestic Canadian wilderness and enjoy a extremely good burger (they are big), tasty too!!! Claude took extremely good care of us, with his fine wine knowledge, and humour! If your there this is the place to eat while waiting for the boat tour!
Birthday. Claude was fantastic the food and view were amazing!
I think the menu is too limited and the prices are high for what is offered. I also think that there should be more options for sides. I had a hamburger with about 2 little pieces of veggie and about 5 loonie size pieces of roasted potatoes and that was $28. My husband had a piece of trout that was paper thin and about 3" long for $27. It is way too much for the proportions we received. The service and atmospere were amazing but I would forgo eating there again
This was an excellent. The manager Claude is such a professional when it comes to hospitality. Food and view are to die for. Best dinner experience I have ever had.
Exceptional service and grace. My mother erred in her order and the waitress and restaurant changed it with no fuss at no charge. Most beautiful view, worth the drive. Food is excellent though a limited menu. I'll definitely come again.
We had a fabulous time! The food was absolutely divine! The service and selection was amazing.
Sarah was a fantastic server with a great personality. She joked around with us and made recommendations that we took and were happy about. She told us the burger was huge so we shared it and the salmon salad. It was chilly so she gave my husband a blanket so we could stay outside and enjoy the view (pun intended). She also recommended the pinot blanc, which went perfectly with the salad. She also gave us a map of the nearby trails and said we should stop at Maligne Canyon. We did and it did not disappoint!
Great service, great food, great price. Only qualm was the the price for wine, but it was good Canadian wine.
Amazing food and view. The staff were the friendliest in all of Jasper. My fiancé and I can’t wait to come back!
Fresh, light fare that is perfect for a day sitting out by the lake.
A pleasant time in the sun. The table was ok, but a lot noise. The food was reasonable, but choose was poor. The service was friendly and prompt.
Good value set course meal. Wonderful view.
Beef was disappointing but all other dishes good.

Please don’t offer reservations for a restaurant that isn’t even open! We showed up for our reservation and no one had any idea about it and the restaurant was closed.
The restaurant was closed because of rain, although it had not rained all day. So we went through the
