Server was chatty and energetic at first. Unfortunately, we had an issue with one of our cocktails... ordered the daily mule which was explained to us as watermelon mint, however received a "plain" classic mule instead. When brought to servers attention, she was argumentative and assured us the bartender made the correct drink. After that incident, we felt let down and the server was very short with us.

Super disappointed in this experience. We were seated in an area with limited lighting and at a 2 person table in the middle of two tables that were less than 1 foot apart from our table. Server never bothered to ask if we wanted drink refills, so it’s a good thing that they leave a bottle of water on the table.

The food was good and our server was very good. The music however was way too loud. We couldn’t carry on a conversation at our table. We requested it be turned down and it was, but then was turned back up a short while later. Instead of adding ambiance, it killed the ambiance and ruined the experience.

We've eaten at the VIG several times and the service has always been great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars all the way was because the music on the patio was a little too loud. We had a difficult time holding a conversation without shouting.

I've been to various Vig restaurants multiple times, including Arcadia, and have always had a great experience. This time was subpar. We had 2 wait staff attending to our table (one was a trainee), so you would think we would have had double the service. Sadly, we were left unattended most of the time. My husband had a diet coke and we had to flag down other servers to get him refills because we never saw our 2 servers. We all ordered our eggs over medium and they came out over easy. And my son-in-laws food did not come out with the rest of the tables. We had to again flag someone down to ask about his meal, since our 2 waitresses never even checked on us after our food was delivered to see if everything was ok. When he finally got his meal, we were all almost finished with our meal. No one ever acknowledged the mistake (clearly his meal was forgotten when the original order was placed), no one apologized, nothing was comped. It was our Easter outing, they were NOT busy at all, but the service was really lacking on this occasion. I'll continue to go to the Vigs; but, I was really disappointed this time.

This is the second time in a month that I brought a group of 8 people to The Vig. We sat on the patio for happy hour both times. It was the perfect setting to mingle with work colleagues. The service was attentive, but not annoying. Food and drinks arrived promptly and the bill was reasonable. If you go during happy hour, you may need to ask for a happy hour menu.

A bit deceiving from the outside. One subdued sign and nondescript green colored entrance door leads to a crisp modern interior bar area with comfortable booths lining the opposite wall. The room leads to an attractive outdoor area. We had nachos, chicken wings and fried calamari, and two drinks each. My gin and tonics were a bit disappointing, as the tonic lacked good flavor and wasn't as evorvescent as it would be from a bottle or can. Having said that ...I did have two and we had very well prepared food and great service. Will go again, for sure.

The food was terrible. We ordered the cauliflower appetizer to start. It was drenched in oil. we only took one bite each and left the rest. My entrée was the salmon. I asked for it medium rare and it was over done. Again everything was soaked in oil. I did not finish my plate and I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone., On top of that the music was so loud we could barely converse at our lunchean. Overall a very, very poor experience. I wish I could get a refund for my meal.

The Vig is a great neighborhood restaurant. You can sit on the patio, inside or at the bar so great choices. The servers are friendly and great service. The food is great whatever you are getting. I enjoy stopping here for lunch, but dinner is just as good.

We had a party of 6 come to celebrate a special event. The atmosphere was perfect: sound/volume (not too loud), surprisingly not packed, not much parking (parked across the street), and the food tasted wonderful and the temperature was perfect. Staff did well but with how empty it was, we felt a bit more service or checking in on us would have been wonderful. We spend roughly 2 hours and while only one party member had a soft drink, there were not any refills offered.

The food was good; nice place; but here is the issue: service: 1. The person who took my drink order and placed the menus was not our server; so we had to get acclimated to someone new after starting a relationship 2. The persons brining the food was different than our server, and he had no personality; very transactional 3. When we were nearly done, yet another person (who didn’t even speak) took away our drinks (we had a little in there), but it was the brashness- he just walked by and picked up the glasses-no communication 4. Never treat your guests like you are about to close 5. Servers should have to be trained or go to a restaurant in Istanbul to see service from an individual server perspective or from a team perspective- the usually tell you “Joe, Mary and myself - Ann will be helping you tonight. Let us know if there is a need and we will help, let’s have a great experience tonight”. Franky the US is very poor at in-dining service. I find an in-and-out burger employee better trained than even those at Ocean 44 and the like

Hi! We both had the fish sandwich and it was so hard to eat for some reason. The bread was hard to chew. Could not cut it with our knives or fork. The sauce, tomato and avocado were yummy but hard to eat as a sandwich. We will come back and try something different.
