The Waterfront Restaurant & Lounge
First time dining here on the recommendation of a friend. Sat outside on the deck and everyone and everything was excellent. View was great also. We did have a reservation and were seated right away as it was busy. I did observe a group of four that came up on a boat and docked without a reservation and did have to wait.
Check it out I’m sure you’ll be glad you did.
Drove over an hour to come enjoy dinner on the water. Wasn’t able to sit outside 45 min wait after making reservations and nobody in the lobby and sat there watching 10 different people be sat outside. Appetizer came out. Needed the server for cocktail sauce to go with calamari. Time we got the managers attention to help us it was cold. Asked how we waited burger cooked, med rare, came out well done. Fries were cold. Asked for more bread told 4 mins it’s in the oven. Never brought it out. I don’t get many weekends off so we drove all that way and rented a hotel to stay in town to enjoy the sights, but after visiting the restaurant...it totally dampened my weekend
Took family and friends from out of town to experience the view. Food was ok. Service was great band was good. Sat outside.
The wait time for seating was a bit longer than promised; however outdoor seating was in high demand. Our appetizer and wine were wonderful, and the entree, eggplant parmesan, was good overall. Some of the entree prices seemed unreasonably high, such as $29 for chicken parmesan.
The Food was Delicious and “The View” was Fabulous!
Other than the fact that it 20 minutes to get served while white diners was served before us(the only black couple in the restaurant and we had a reservation) the food was great and the scenery was nice.
The parking lot was flooded. I do not know if this is a recurring problem, but it was a problem on our visit.
Would have given five stars, but the server, was awful.
Placed on my "yes do" return list...
Our service was horrible. Our waitress left our salads sitting in our sight for atleast 15 minutes before serving. When we were served our main entrees they were salty and poor quality. Our spinach dip tasted like broccoli soup. Our waitress kept disapearing. Our moscoe mule was served in a wine glass. The sad part was this was Our Mom's birthday celebration. Very disapointing!!!
Food was great, great atomphere the waitress & waiter's need more hospitality training. The young man bringing out the food often did not know which table to go to.
Always fun to have dinner by the water! There are few choices in our area and this is our favorite spot. Good drinks and reasonably priced good food.
Such A Beautiful View .... Food and Drinks Were Perfect! This Was My First Time There... I’ll Definitely be back
We had a great experience! Very much enjoyed our dinner and the setting. Some entrees a bit pricey...ex. Chicken Parmesan, $29!
Some entrees are overpriced for what you get. The mahi-mahi is a total disappointment. One filet that was small and over done and dry. Chicken marsala , and chicken borsain are both good value.
I always enjoy dining at The Waterfront. The service, food and atmosphere is awesome!
Service was poor. Food served at different times. The special honoree had to wait until we were halfway through with our meals to get his. The waiter couldn’t figure out how to split the bill properly. The manager needed another 15 minutes to figure it out. Terrible experience. Won’t be back
Perch was very over breaded and overly deep fat fried. Not edible. Fries and clam chowder overly salted. There was a folk singer which made conversation difficult
The food and service was not very good on Father's Day, which I generally expect when eating out on a big holiday. The server was pleasant but not very attentive as I think she had too many tables assigned to her.
The service was amazing and the food was perfect I will be back sooner then later!!
The atmosphere is outstanding being directly on the waterfront. Even though we had reservations through Open Table, we had to wait 30 minutes for an outside table, but the wait was pleasant at the outside patio bar. The food was good, but the service was slow. We waited over an hour for our dinner to arrive. Overall, it was a 4 star experience.
Water was not very attentive, came right over upon arrival then, asked him to give us a few more minutes then waited a while to order and then had to ask for drink refills. Brought bread after salads were finished just before meal was delivered. Had to wait for bill and then for him to return.
Great Service Great Food Great View Service Fast And Friendly Good Portion Size
Love It Will Come Back
Delicious food. Not a cheap meal (though I think you can eat cheap here if you pick the right menu items), but worth every penny. I HIGHLY recommend this 0lace for a date night.
Despite it being a cloudy day, our view was great. Our young waiter was attentive; however, our disappointment was that none of the food was served piping hot and fresh. From the Saganaki to the perch piccata to the vegetables on the side, everything was just warm, which was disappointing.
Went to dinner for a nice peaceful evening w a view.
Dj started blasting music like we were at a club. Ruined the experience.
We were very disappointed, the food order took 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach our table. The food was cold and the order was wrong once it arrived. an order of zucchini parmesan turned out to be crab cakes covered with marinara sauce. The lobster was over done and cold, butter served with the lobster had already started to skim over because it was cold. The manager of the establishment was so embarrassed that she comped the $160.00 bill. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
My three friends and I went for my friends birthday and the outdoor seating was beautiful! Right on the water! I would recommend the Waterfront Santeria if you’re looking to have a drink. It was delicious!
Our server was phenomenal she was very sweet and patient knowing that we were there to catch up after 30 years... We were both regular customers back in the '80s growing up and her family worked at the Pier 500 for several years myself we used to go there for every weekend with our friends... The New Jersey now and I live in Lansing It was quite an experience and very pleased with the new decor tastefully done... I hope to come back .... Maybe with my ex-husband since he still lives in Allen Park area...
Very good food, very nice atmosphere. We would come back again.
We waited over 30 minutes before a server came to the table. Once server acknowledge service was still slow. Based on service I think restaurant was short on server.
It took a long time for our app to show up. Nice atmosphere!!!
I was told it would be an hour and a half to sit outside, so, we sat inside. Our waitress, Betty, was attentive in the beginning. Appetizers were good. We ordered our meals and we waited an hour and a half for them. Betty came once to tell us one more minute, according to the kitchen staff. There was a young man who was busing tables that would help us: for more coffee, finding Betty, etc. We witnessed people that came after us, eating before us. Mine was stone-cold. The hostess, I believe, since she wasn’t wearing a uniform but a dress, was delivering meals. I immediately said so (with an expletive that I regret since she was the only one running around delivering meals). She apologized and returned promptly with it hot. At the entrance desk, you could watch at least 5-6 people talking to each other, on their cellphones, during our long wait. When Betty came back, once, we asked for our bill and boxes. In the meantime, the patio was empty. So, after dinner, we just walked out to the patio and sat down. John was awesome as a server. Very attentive and pleasant.
We will never be back.
The food took over 2 hours after ordering. The waitress was fine, but the manager who tried to apologize for the delay blamed the size of their kitchen??? Then their “way to fix it” was to offer 20% off. After all of that, the food was lukewarm at best. Not a good experience at all.
Almost an hour to get mediocre fish and chips. Waitress where was she the whole time ? Salads came before our drinks. Finally flagged down someone else to get a manager and find out what takes so long. I was told they have a small kitchen and she’s the only manager. My child even said would you not build a kitchen proportionate to your seating ? Novel idea there. Then the manager came back and told us their printer wasn’t working and they’ve been trying to fix it. Hmmmm so only my order didn’t print or the whole restaurant? Sounds a lot like excuses. Then at the end the waitress gave us the bill without any adjustment.
This is the third time there. Common factor slow service and mediocre food. Every time after I say why did I come here
I would recommend for the outside atmosphere but not to eat. Food was just ok
Food had no taste. Appetizer took 30 minutes and food was not hot. I would not recommend the food at all. The river view was really nice tho.
Very good meal! Only concern was double charges on bill....think this was a computer glitch. When pointed out to server, it was immediately corrected and manager gave a discount for the inconvenience....
Fabulous food and service! The Caesar salmon salad, chicken Parm & blt were great. Our server was on top of things. We ate at 4pm & it was moderately busy. So glad that they have this chef because when they first opened it was not so great. It’s amazing now and we are happy that we gave them another chance. It’s so beautiful too, even on a rainy day.
Beautiful setting. Food was good just took over an hour to come out. Service was descent.
