    6 of us gathered for a Sunday night out. We were surprised that this downtown gem of a place was not busier. Perhaps because it was the first Sunday in November. Service was very attentive. All the apples, calamari, tacos and wings were great. Mains included fish tacos, chicken tacos and a chicken burger and blues burger . Everyone enjoyed the place and we all said we would come back.

    Everything was excellent! From the moment I walked in, Marquise made me feel right at home and provided the help I needed to make my choices from an amazing menu. The tacos were delicious. The ambiance was excellent too! Really enjoyed my meal and my experience!

    Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Waverley are the best! You can't get a burger OR two tacos with fries that good anywhere else for that price! Great place to take the family on a weeknight as it wasn't too busy or loud. The service was great and the drinks were awesome! Would definitely recommend!

    The restaurant atmosphere and decoration is very nice, the restaurant was empty when we dined (around 6:00 pm) and the service was good. Additionally, the food was good although a little over priced. Overall, good experience.

    The service and the food was very good. However, the drinking glasses are pretty small. My husband had a coke and it was brought to him in a glass that looked like it would be for an alcoholic beverage. Also, the lights were a bit too dim, it was pretty dark.

    However, we were there on August 31 and the tables near the street on the side were horrible. wobbly and old looking. They did not connect really well. Other than that. Really enjoyed this evening outside. Loved it very much,

    The food was very good, the ambience outside was good, the service was great. They don't serve decaf coffee - pretty surprising for any restaurant in Canada, I would think.

    celebrated a friend’s birthday dinner there. our server, matt, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time! the purple rain cocktail was soooo good, steak tacos were delicious, and a great playlist was playing in the background. 💯

    Came here for Taco Tuesday and was greeted by the charismatic and lively Marquis who also was our server. The Tacos were delicious as were the hand cut fries. I will definitely be back to try the steak tacos!!!

    We went for dinner on Sunday evening after making reservation The waitress was very nice and let accommodate us at a table We order 2 negronj cocktails and they were absolutely terrible and overpriced for what we had They both were watery and tasted like gin I wasn’t even able to finish it. We left after 20 min as the experience with drink was an absolute fail so we decided to go somewhere else for dinner plan Save your money and don’t come here

    Nice little spot….food was ok for the price. Unfortunately the service was slow….we suspect that he was a rookie and a lot of drama session talk between the staff while we were waiting for our drinks

    Ordered the calamari, steak & fries, and mushroom ravioli. The calamari was good. Steak (ordered medium) was raw. Mushroom ravioli was bland. Server took 15+ minutes to come back and check on the table. Steak was sent back and cooked some more. Was returned to the table (blood wiped off the plate) and was bland and terribly tough. Service was very slow, and the restaurant was not busy. On a positive note, the staff did bring us a round of drinks on the house. But it was too little too late, after the poor food and neglectful service. At that point, we just wanted to leave. Overall, a disappointing experience.

    Terrific attentive service! Best hummus I have ever had outside of the Middle East! Only flaw was no decaf coffee or dealcoholized beer. Very comfortable booth. Will be back.

    The atmosphere and decor were neat So many staff (we counted 6 including bar tender) and yet the service was not great. I was still eating and so was my companion and the server wanted to take away my plate. And then when we had finished eating it took a while for someone to clear our plates, even though a couple of staff walked by. Beer list was disappointing and the draft beer Goose Island was going flat. In The women’s washroom for some reason the top of the toilet was missing, the lid to cover all the mechanisms. Not very nice to look at. The food was tasty though the fries were quite greasy. It was a nice place to check out and we will likely not return.

    Definitely a place for socializing. The food was cold. Took almost an hour for the food. Service was slow. But the atmosphere and music was awesome. I’ll go back for drinks for sure. Dinner? Not so much.

    Energetic is an interesting category. We were seated in the bar area as the dining room had large noisy groups then a group of Christmas decorated pub crawlers, some of whom were seated in the dining room, came in and the noise level went from "energetic" to "can't hear yourself think". Fortunately we were about to leave then and the food and service were great. Lesson: Avoid Christmas party times if possible.

    Made a reservation for a standard table as I hate high tops. When we arrived, the hostess (who was lovely) told us she was going to clean off a high top for us. I told her we had requested a standard and she went back to who I assume was the manager, who was about two feet away from us. He said it didn’t say that and we could only have the high top. It was a little weird that he didn’t come talk to us or even apologize, since he was right beside us. He was being rude to the hostess who was just trying to help us. There were so many empty tables and booths up until we left. No one ever checked on us. We managed to order one drink and food. Never managed to get a second drink. The food was good so compliments to BOH. The restaurant is so beautiful so it was just disappointing.

    Server wasn’t good, our bill was charged more than what was ordered and when we went to discuss the bill, we were challenged and nothing was resolved. After dinner, it becomes full of very drunk university students and the atmosphere becomes a huge turn off.

    Huge disappointment. Second rate ingredients. Miss match between menu and serving (I.e. tacos with rice and coleslaw became tacos with fries). Burgers were over cooked and over salted. Dinner for 3 (no alcohol) came to 170. Terrible, terrible value.
