The Wednesday Room
Love the food here and the local beer list. Server was a little slow this time whoch isn't a big deal, we just happened to be in a hurry and it was hard to get her attention. It was a shame we couldn't sit downstairs as requested (it seemed to be closed). Saying that, the Thai Curry soup was great and we all had a good time. Will be back :)
The quality of our food and drink was good, but we were extremely disappointed with our service. Our server appeared to be high or intoxicated as she was incapable of stringing a single sentence together. The service was also very slow and the hostess extremely rude to us. I have never seen a staff treat their paying customers so poorly. As someone who frequents local restaurants in support of the community, it saddens me that I cannot recommend this restaurant to others. I will not be returning.
We had a very nice Valentine's dinner. They started us off with a complimentary drink and amuse bouche - nice touch. The fried olives are amazing and the savoury bread pudding was great too. We shared the duck breast and the pljukanski (Croatian noodles). The duck was done to perfection and the noodles were a perfect pairing. Topped it all off with a Chateuneuf de Pape. Great service. We'll definitely be back.
Good good and great place.
We’ve dined here a few times and have never been disappointed -always a great dining experience. The food is very flavourful - finished the meal with the tiramisu creme brûlée - yummy! Our server was super friendly & attentive - we will be back!
We had a few drinks and some of the shared plates. Everything was superb.
The restaurant ambience is nice. We ordered chicken wings which were the smallest wings I’ve ever seen. I also ordered a Tokyo Mule and after I’d had a few sips realized they’d forgotten the ginger beer. Unbeknownst to me they were actually out of ginger beer but didn’t bother to tell me when I ordered the drink. Weird since ginger beer is the main ingredient in a mule. In the end I likely won’t go back.
Phenomenal service to the food and drink, can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!
Great steak sandwich. Truffle fries were excellent too.
Table setting for 4 was too small and seating was not very comfortable. As well, found quite noisy. Having said that, the food was very good and our server was excellent. We will go back.
Awesome service. Great food. Nice and quiet.
The food is overpriced and it’s quality was poor. The drinks were great though.
The staff were great about making recommendations. The cocktails were wonderful and so was the food. Really great. A bit costly but fantastic quality experience.
Great little place. Casual, but classy at the same time. We had the Oysters Rockefeller, Fried Chicken, and Grilled Cauliflower. All were exceptional and cooked excellently. Fried Chicken and Old Fashioned's were on special on Thursdays. Drinks were mixed perfectly as well. Very friendly service, nice lounge atmosphere. Comfortable.
Great atmosphere for a business lunch, nice a quiet with great food
Unfortunately the server became unavailable for about 20 minutes during our lunch and made everything very rushed for our business meeting
This place is a hidden gem, food is always fantastic and fresh, super cool retro looks as well, shh don’t tell anyone!
The service was fantastic and the food and drinks were also!
I can't say enough good things about The Wednesday Room. It's cosy and cool, the food is incredible and Maria is an amazing server. The Pljukanci pasta is incredible and the deals on an actual Wednesday are phenomenal.
The food was amazing and our server made excellent recommendations. My group had an Interest in sitting downstairs and when requested with the server she kept this in mind and moved us downstairs when a table become available.
Great atmosphere. Really fantastic, comfortable space. Super cool vibes and a nice wine list. However, the service was frankly subpar (we tried to make eye contact with ANY server, but no one would come over to us, even when they noticed), and the food is super overpriced for what you get. Some dried out fries and some aioli that's basically just mayo will tip you into the double digits. If you're going for drinks, this place is 10/10. If you're going for fast service and a snack, don't.
Would be great if I’m future there maybe more flexibility to menu for friends who are vegetarian or esp vegan.
Wonderful experience here. It was our first there and we love the drink specials and the food was delicious.
Atmosphere was wonderful and unique. We will most definately be back.
I love the atmosphere and the veggie burger is amazing!
Great spot. Casual. Great food. Good drink specials.
We absolutely loved the food! Was hoping for a little more engagement from our server but the food made up for everything! Highly recommend if you’re needing meet free options as well they had lots to offer!
When we(myself and my spouse) arrived at the restaurant 15 minutes late, the hostess told us we must hurry there is a renovation at 8 p.m. when we arrived at 6:15 p.m. I just didn't think that was necessary. Other than that everything was lovely! Our waitress was great and the food was fantastic.
One of my favourite spots although I don’t love the new menu. The old menu was second to none; the new one is so-so.
The food was amazing and so was the atmosphere! Will definitely be back soon :)
We waited over 40 min for someone to even offer us water- honestly not a big deal - they took care of our drinks. However we then waited even longer to have our food order taken and 15min after they took our order they told us they were out of oysters- at 8pm on “oyster Monday”. They offered us a free appetizer in place of the oysters but that wasn’t really what we wanted. The appetizers were nothing spectacular. The servers were polite but inattentive and very busy. The small area is also very loud. Not sure if it was just an off night. May have been since several other people I know really enjoy this place.
Food and drinks were great! Love the look and feel of the lounge!
Food was rather bland
Usually like sitting downstairs at Wednesday Room however it was full so sat upstairs. It’s a different vibe. For the price of eating and enjoying a bottle of wine we felt very rushed, our server was ok and just didn’t have a great time. It was good.
We did the share plates with our friends. It was fantastic
I organized a birthday dinner here for 10 people. I had dinned here before but they had a new menu. Pros: great cocktails, nice vibe, excellent steak and fried bread. Cons: Poor service for large groups, average food. Details: The two food items I mentioned were great. The rest was ok. To share we ordered cauliflower, broccoli, jerk wings, chicken fried rice, potatoes, springs rolls, fried bread, steak and lamb. Unfortunately the steak and lamb came out last after everyone had filled up on veggies and rice. I wish the meat had come out with a veg or potato in closer proximity instead of having a large gap of time in between. My largest disappointment was the service. We spent $1300 (including tip) and the waitress was never around. At one point my friend was pouring the wine because half the table had empty glasses. Also, I understand the food comes out when its ready, however the waitress should have advised us how to expect delivery and that the meat would come out last so maybe we should order less. Based on the amount of money I spent I would recommended dining at another restaurant if you are going with a group.
Great meal, love the decor and great service. Definitely a place to return to.
We went for our anniversary, and it was such a lovely experience. We had the tuna tartar, the mushrooms, the duck, the bread pudding, and the baked Alaskan. We would highly recommend the duck and the mushrooms, although everything we had was delicious:
Did the sharing menu, it was perfect! Service was great!!
You need to try the chicken appie ... to die for.
A great place, good for small groups, good food and excellent service
