A traditional pub and restaurant in the beautiful, historic spa town of Bridge of Allan. Established in 1842, the Westerton Arms has been, and still is an integral part of the Bridge of Allan community.

Open daily from 9am until 10pm, we serve exceptional quality, locally sourced food.

In our bar we have a wide range of spirits, malt whisky and an extensive range of gins. We also serve a range of locally brewed beers and ales, as well as mainstream brands, namely, Guinness, Belhaven Best and Birra Moretti
to name but a few.

We have wood burning stoves for chilly days and beer gardens front and rear of the building for those sunny days. There is also customer car parking to the rear.

First time there and menu looked good. Service was prompt and friendly but when we asked for the heating to be increased (it was so cold my wife had her cost over her knees and mine around her shoulders) we were told they’d need to check with the manager. I’m not sure if it was put on but nobody came back to let us know either way. Food was really nice and portion size was large. Lovely seasonal veg. The temperature was the only issue.

Lovely food, serving of food needs more coordination, both starters and mains one of our party had to wait for around 5 mins after the other was served. Hold the good till everyone’s is ready! Also, 2 different waiters trying to give us different wineglasses. Needs better communication. However, a pleasant night out, thanks

Food is great. Restaurant and kitchen is getting refurbished so expect even better experience in the near future. Public bar needs a facelift. But it is a great local and Ashleen is professional and always courteous.

The Westie as we like to call it is a superb Bridge of Allan Pub. They always show the big sporting ocassions on multiple screens. The bar is incredibly well stocked and while the food is expensive, it is usually delicious, and there is a great diverse selection of interesting meals to choose from.

On arrival we were greeted warmly but told that there would be a delay with food as they only had one chef on, and bit short staffed, as we were in no hurry it was not a problem, drinks were soon served, and the meal on arrival was very good and piping hot. It was our first time here visiting a friend, and look forward to eating here again very nice warm atmosphere

We waited a long time for drinks to arrive (34m). Food arrived soon after. The place was very busy and the staff were run off their feet. Food was tasty and portion was good.

Lovely environment and really tasty roast dinner, only criticism is the roast potatoes were a bit hard like they'd been sitting a bit, but the rest was absolutely lovely. Really friendly and attentive service as well, will be sure to be back!

It was a good experience but the staff were super attentive at the start- came over several times to ask if we were ready when we hadn’t even opened up the menus! After we had finished though they were very slow and we had to call someone over. Food was reasonable but not very inventive. A bit boring I suppose. Ok for pub grub.

Staff were very attentive and helpful and polite. Food was very good and we did not have to wait a long time for it. Ambience was very good and tables not too close together. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Table wasn’t ready even though we booked, order was placed and waited an hour for starters. Waiter did apologise because they were so busy but don’t take bookings if you can’t handle it being busy. By the time the food came, was passed eating it! Very disappointed as it was for my mums birthday and my son starting university…

The menu is a wide range of tantalising dishes. Lots of charm and coziness to the surroundings. Food: Let down by the Bofa Shark (simple Haddock would be more appropriate) especially the small portion of 11 soggy chips. Burgers are as great as they sound, just more soggy chips unfortunately. Steak Ciabatta was another winner. Service: Nice buzz about the place. Staff are friendly enough. Obviously when it’s busy and the kitchen is backed up there will be times when the ball is dropped. It’s best to speak to your customers and not leave them hanging on to see if your missing meal is forgotten or just a little longer. Awkward for us when a quick reassurance was all it took while we watched more food leave the kitchen and pass us by. It’s a busy place so we Booked a table beforehand I look forward to going back. So many more dishes I want to try.

I should have taken heed offl the previous reviews. They were right. Food not great. The shark fish supper was ok but wasn’t very big. Quite greasy Only got a few chips with it so very expensive for what we got. Staff were attentive and pleasant but won’t be back.

The booking and service was great. Staff were lovely and friendly. The place itself was so busy but the staff handled it well. The food was a bit of a let down as my husband ordered monkfish and prawns but only three tiny bits of monkfish and my chicken was very dry. A plus was it had a lovely sauce which helped the dryness of the chicken. Overall we still had a nice evening as they had a singer on and it make my birthday treat. He was very good. Jean Whittaker.

We had requested a quiet table but shortly after we were shown to our table a hen party sat close by. We could heat every word of their noisy banter. Also, in the very next room workmen were hammering. The fish and mussel dishes tasted good, but the pate was not set, and ran all oer the plate.

Service in the restaurant was very poor. Meals did not arrive, food which did arrive was mediocre. Staff tried to rectify it but again a few main meals failed to arrive. A few of my group left to go elsewhere to get food.

Great reboot of this B of A pub. New menu and an interior upgrade. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was delicious. Delighted to see this place back on form, after a difficult few years.

Service wasnt good had to ask to order drinks then took ages to bring the food. The steak pie wasn’t even cooked the pastry was flat and white hadn’t risen. Very average for the price you pay
