   Standard has dropped since the last time we were there. Patio floor was dirty. Washroom was quite dirty - my guest from out-of-town was quite surprised. I am a local resident.

   Our drinks took 1 hr (waitress warned us that the bar would be very slow due to volume- but that’s not acceptable), and food was just okay. I would not suggest eating here, but the tastings are worth it and I love the atmosphere at this estate. Maybe it was an “off” night, but there are better places to eat in Niagara on the lake.

   Was looking forward to coming here for dinner. We had a reservation and was seated right away. It took 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and serve us. We ordered drinks and food right away. Our host was nice but we got our meals before we even got any drinks. Took way too long to get a drink and to be served. Not sure what was happening that night but there seemed to be enough staff per table so unsure if it was a staffing problem or new hires but it was extremely slow

   I was really looking forward to this reservation but the service was so slow. It took us about 25 minutes to get a drink and then the same amount for our food and then another drink. The food wasn’t that great. The chicken on my salad was cold, which may have been how it was supposed to be served, but it didn’t taste great. The steak was ok. But definitely not worth the money sadly.

   Whiskey bar I believe was designed to be rustic, but it appears as old and unclean. Another comment I would make as there are no drink options without sugar except water. So I drank water. They have no zero sugar soft drinks, in fact they do not have soft drinks at all. I was disappointed of the venue and the offerings. The country music was good and the gift shop wine and whiskey prices per bottle are reasonable.

   We were most excited for our dinner at Gretzky Estates for our weekend getaway. Unfortunately, this was our most disappointing experience. The service was very poor - our waiter did not appear to have much interest in providing us with service. In the end our waiter never returned to our table after serving the meal and we had to ask an alternative waitress for the bill. To top it off our meal was under cooked. Extremely disappointing considering I have heard great reviews about this restaurant from others.

   Just love the vibe here.....nothing better than sitting on the patio on a warm summer day. Make sure to reserve as you likely won't get a table otherwise

    Disappointed. Truthfully, I can’t even rate their food, beverage, ambiance… didn’t get that far. I had a reservation and when I got there 25 minutes early, was told they had already done last call and weren’t going to accommodate the reservation. Then they reported to OpenTable that I no showed! This is the 2nd time I have been turned away well before they are said to be closing according to hours of operation, the first time I didn’t have a reservation so I was understanding. This time was our wedding anniversary… nice. Thank goodness Bricks and Barley was able to accommodate us without a reservation… so the day wasn’t completely ruined.

    It’s a great setting and the patio was lively, but the food was underwhelming. Selection was ok, quality was middle of the road and not what I’d expected for the price. The fries seemed like frozen McCain product, breads were doughy and heavy. Chicken, burger patty and calamari were all good but overall it was disappointing.

    Mother's Day Sunday and we had a reservation for a table of 4 adults. Seated promptly, servers friendly. IT was great to try the whiskey and some drinks. Servers knowledgeable and both Brad and David gave good recommendations. Sadly the poutine was made with shredded cheese instead of curds! It's the iconic Canadian dish...please do better! We tried some whiskey, beer, Caesar, mocktails and all were great. Gorgeous day on the patio; many families/multi-generations enjoying the sunshine and food. Ambiance dampened by the person in the kitchen YELLING the orders. Really detracted from the enjoyable day on the patio. Gave a Hell's Kitchen vibe. I recommend ending that. Overall we enjoyed the food/atmosphere. Took a walk through the store and lobby. Very interesting memorabilia/articles. I will visit again, Thanks, Jill

    The food tasted great but the service was horrible. They never asked if we wanted any drinks after we ordered the first round and never offered desert. They were out of sangria and brisket by 7pm…on a Friday. Also the waiter barely came around to see how the food was and didn’t give us plates,silverware or napkins until we were pretty much done picking at our app with our fingers. The waiter also looked as if he was miserable and didn’t even want to be there. There was no personality and often felt as if we were being an inconvenience by being there.

    Unfortunately did not have a good experience while visiting. I specifically ordered a non alcoholic drink and the server served me the wrong drink and took a sip and it absolutely had whiskey in it. Being pregnant I immediately panicked and took the drinks up to our server who argued that the drink I was given was the passion punch when it was not. She then checked with the bartender and came and apologized and my drink was compd. However, the menu was small the tortellini was unavailable and ended up ordering a poutine which was made with spicy fries (knowing it was spicy fries I would’ve ordered something else since I immediately got heartburn). Overall, not impressed and won’t be back. Definitely need to be more aware when guests are ordering non-alcoholic and not knowing the circumstances as to why they need non alcoholic whether it be a whisky patio or not.

    if you are a hockey fan this is a must do on your list. Menu is limited but was wonderful and the wait staff was fantastic. We went upstairs to the wine tasting and wished we ate up there as they had more options for small bites. Wine tasting was great and our server was fantastic. Shop was great and brought back many great bottles.

    We were glad to have had lunch at The Whisky Bar Patio. Food was delicious and bountiful. I enjoyed the double burger, which was cooked perfectly. Really enjoyed the red wine sauce on the burger. My wife had the chicken salad, which was chocked full of chicken, so much so that she had to bring the rest home. Fries were crispy and garnished with delicious spices. Attentive service by staff. Got busy mid afternoon on a cool, sunny day. A little bit expensive - you are paying, of course, for the name and location of the site. I am sure that this place is jumping in the summer time, so we were glad to have this experience in a less hectic situation.

    Food was decent, nothing on menu for picky eaters. Don’t care for the ever changing menu. Water was off in the pond area so no atmosphere at all. Disappointed as we have come many times before and had excellent food and service before, this was also for our son’s birthday. Based only on this stay, I would not recommend.     The food was great! The patio is listed as heated... it's sort of heated. Luckily it was a sunny day and we were dressed well enough to be outside but it was still a bit chilly so bundle up if the weather is cool. Also, it would be nice to be able to order a flight to sample some of the wines or libations while dining but unfortunately that's not an option. You can however order cocktails made with their spirits.

    Perfect place for a date. My boyfriend and I have a Salted Caramel Coffee on the patio and went skating on the outdoor rink. It was a nice setup with fun music. Staff was friendly. Would definitely recommend.

    We loved the atmosphere and the venue which was great for kids and grandparents alike. The outdoor patio was equipped with heaters which made it pleasant in spite of cold temperatures. The skating patio-side was great. The food was not value for money though. It was quite overpriced for both drinks and meals. The family complained a bit about everything being overly spicy. Serving staff were pleasant.
