Awesome space and great, friendly service. 😊👏🏼
Service was impeccable yet relaxed and no pressure to rush. Had a wonderful meal and enjoyed showing my out of town gust around the hotel as well. Highly recommed as always!
Wonderful food, excellent service and the perfect setting!
Great Food, Great Bar Scene, Friendly Bartenders and Waitstaff. Reservations honored and Noise Level was Energetic and yet you could easily have a conversation.
We were surprised and delighted by the Whitby. It's a lively and happy place. The menu is interesting and the food delicious. We'll definitely be back!
Service was very good. Food also very good except one meal portion was minute- seared tuna
LOVE the Whitbey
Burger is world-class
I prefer to sit up front near window
Both food and service have improved, a great place for business lunches.
Particularly courteous and knowledgeable staff made for an especially pleasant dining experience.
A lovely venue for a celebration tea, the scone, sandwich and cake stand is ample, and there is also a delicious gluten free/vegan option. It’s pricey, but good for a special occasion - a very stylishly decorated room, great service and a calm quiet atmosphere.
Easy Sunday brunch. Service was outstanding!
Dining at the Whitby Bar & Restaurant is a first-rate experience. The staff is warm and hospitable and the menu is varied, the food is delicious, and the ambience is top-notch! The weekend brunch is excellent and the afternoon high tea is lovely. What more could one want?
Lovely dining experience at the Whitby Hotel. We had drinks at the bar where the bartender was very informative about the cocktails and spoke to some of the design elements of the hotel.
Holly, the manager, was beyond welcoming and made my birthday very special with some extra special touches during our dining experience.
Only critique would be that the back dining room, while very beautiful, was very cold with all the glass and high ceiling. They brought us a heater which greatly helped. Next time I would eat in the bar part of the restaurant, especially in the winter.
We will all go back for sure. Kit Kemp's attention to detail really makes the Whitby a New York place to not miss!
Fabulous as always. :-)
Wonderful decor and ambience. The food is Phenom. Loved the Mac n Cheese.. definitely going back.
Loved the exuberance of the decor down to the china and wallpaper! Lovely brunch, too. Next time I’ll come for tea!
Found this wonderful spot by a chance walk and glance at their menu; made reservations and the rest is history! Our new go-to neighborhood restaurant; beautifully prepared, fresh and unusual ingredients. We’re a vegetarian and a carnivore ... this spot offered us both some special treats. Look forward to returning soon.
Great atmosphere as well in front bar and rear dining area. And loved that chewy warm mini loaf of bread!! Thanks for a memorable evening!!
My wife and I had been there for Restaurant Week, and we LOVED it, so we went back. Very disappointing. The dishes we enjoyed for Restaurant Week were not on the regular menu. The tuna sashimi appetizer was very dry and bland, with little pieces of orange and jalapeños on top. Even the jalapeños were devoid of flavor. For the main course, I asked the waiter for a recommendation based on what other patrons liked. He recommended the chicken breast with risotto. My wife had the squid ink pasta with crab. Both of these main courses were just OK... Not worth the price though. Sadly we won’t be returning to the restaurant. It’s unfortunate, because the service is good and it’s in a geographically desirable location for us.
