Food tasted great, portion size was OK. I had the albacore tuna, my date had the salmon. Dessert was matcha green tea creme brulee. Woman's Bathroom had purple lights which set the mood, was very clean, had large full length mirrors and full length doors, very nice!
Morden place, excellent service , menu for all tastes and budgets, life music.
Good food, but no one to greet you or seat you. We almost decided to leave after waiting at the desk for 15 minutes. had to go ask the hotel manager to call someone for service
The food was really good. It's a bit expensive but like I said, I was happy with my meal but would like more vegetarian options. I didn't really like the Ambience, there were sports playing in a supposedly semi-fine dining restaurant. Server was nice enough and they provided a small dessert for my boyfriends birthday.
Very fine dining. The food was exquisite. I have not had better tuna. The atmosphere was calm and easy to talk at the table. I enjoyed, and I think everyone did, at our table.
We went there on a Friday evening for a date night. When we arrived at 6:30 pm, the place was fairly empty except about 3 tables occupied. For a Friday evening, the place was not that crowded. The staff told us that it was still early.
The food was pretty good. The portion was big enough to be a meal but nor overwhelming and the quality was reasonably good. Considering many hotel foods are poor quality with overly priced tags, this restaurant served real food that we did not feel ripped off.
The free underground parking for the restaurant patrons was a nice touch for convenience. I would not want to walk a long distance outside before and after dinner especially in bad weather. It did not rain that day, but... you see my point...
Friday was a live music night. It turned out the performer was a familiar face. Most of the music he played that evening was a nice dance tune so that quite a number of couples made it to the dance floor. Of course, we did some boogie on the dance floor as well. Being a regular ballroom dancer, it was always a good thing to find a place to dance with dinner.
The only downside for us was that the dance floor was rather small and could hold only 4 or 5 couples comfortably at a time and the floor maintenance was not well done as it was quite sticky in many spots making it difficult for spins.
I still would recommend to others and definitely return in the future but will be quite hesitant to get on the dance floor now that I know the floor is sticky.
The food was excellent but what really made the evening was the friendliness, attentiveness and excellent recommendations from our server.
Highly recommended for a special event evening
Made a reservation for Father’s Day with my husband, parents and in-laws thinking we had the option of a la carte or brunch buffet but we were strongly discouraged from a la carte to the point that they wouldn’t even show us the menu. That was quite uncomfortable and annoying unfortunately so we ended up doing the buffet since we didn’t want to put a damper on the day so early. The food was tasty and had good variety but not enough for me to want to return for that, I would still want to try their menu items since looking at it online it looks very promising.
The highlight of the night was the fact that there was live piano music and he was great! He even took requests and made it lovely.
The table service was great. The bar tender was more concerned with the 2 girls vs dinning customers. Food was over priced even more for the deserts
Took mom there for mother’s day. Food tasted good, but they seemed short staffed and some things seemed to be prepared too early and not inspected before being brought out. Love music was a nice touch. But with better staffing on a busy occasion, service could be better. Not sure it was worth the value of the meal however.
Excellent food.....very tasty and the presentation of both their creative salad and the lamb shank was first class. Our Serbian waiter (I think the correct name was Vlad) was engaging, personable and attentive. There was a following of people who come to dance. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
ghost town....only 1 other table there. really hard to believe i just paid $5 for 5 pieces of cheap fried baguette
Eggs Benedict was not good cold and hard not soft eggs
The buffet lines were too long and too slow!
Great food, entertainment is top notch on a Saturday night, even if just to watch folks dancing.
It’s a great upscale dining environment. Food is not exactly high end however. They are good but not worth the price because for the same price or cheaper you can get better quality food elsewhere.
The environment is great! Service is good. Melissa, our server is excellent! The gentleman at the bar did a great job too!
Love the Saturday live music. Service is average for the price point in terms of speed and attentiveness, but the staff are really friendly. Food was delicious.
Great food in a quiet and nicely decorated restaurant. Will definitely be back.
A hidden secret - wonderful food and service, I was surprised it wasn't busier
I love this restaurant, it was a beautiful setting for Valentine’s Day. The food was good, I had the duck and it was my first time trying duck, it was a bit chewy but everything else was delicious.
The food was delicious. The portions and prices are fine dining standard.
Wild Fig is a good restaurant to take someone for dinner. Good food, ambience and service. You can buy good bottle of BC wine at reasonable price. There is free parking for guests at the restaurant level with easy access. I wholeheartedly recommend Wild Fig for a dinner date with someone special...
Took wife on a date night, Friendly Staff, great service, food was excellent. Surprised with a mixologist at the bar, very nice.
The food was faultless, great presentation and delicious. The serving of steak was on the small side. The entertainment was perfect for the setting and lovely to see people dancing. The service was great too. We will be back!
The appetizers were really good as was the pork and lamb shank mains, the chicken cordon bleu was a little over-cooked however. The service was very good. The music was a little loud at the beginning but was turned down to a better volumn later. Overall a very good evening.
Great value for Dine Out. Would definitely go again and would recommend this place to friends! Very enjoyable!
Loved the food and the service was great. Thought the food took a little long to reach our table but I assume thy made the food from scratch as the restaurant was not busy and they would not have had a lot of prep done. Would love to come back when all tables are full and the dance floor is open.
We enjoyed 3 very tasty courses. Service was outstanding and there was dancing & live music to entertain us.
Was Very dissapointed we were not previously told they were only serving the dine out menu. We had a glass of wine and then left because not all 4 of us could order off the dine out menu. They only had three options for food. We were looking forward to a nice dinner and couldn’t even eat there.
Pleasantly surprised, for a hotel foyer restaurant it was appealing.
Excellent service by Kathleen, Gerri and Michelle (and other staff). We have been quite a few times now for dinner, breakfast, lunch and Happy Hour and the staff never disappoint and we always want to come back. Cudos to the food preparers and chefs and cooks-consistently excellent quality.
Barry & Lynne
We were there on a quiet Sunday so there wasn't any music or live band. There were only 4 tables of guests and yet the service was quite slow. I can't imagine what it would be like on a busy night. The food was good. I'd go back for drinks and appetizers on a night that they had music just to see if the service was any better.
Melanie, our server, was outstanding; menu items we chose were superb, ambience was great - all in all, a wonderful birthday celebration for my husband!
I am thrilled to have found a new place to enjoy for date nights with my spouse. The environment was very pleasant, and I'm happy that we could talk easily without a lot of excess noise. The food was great!
Had fun... music was good
As always the Wild Fig Brunch was amazing. There were so many options for both carnivores and vegans. The service was beyond outstanding. We had 3 or 4 people serving and clearing our table and it was very busy in the restaurant. I highly recommend trying it.
We visit the Wild Fig often, the food is so good! Warm friendly service, and free parking if you sign up at the hotel desk on the clipboard.
We will be back!
Service was good.
What impressed us the most was when the Manager approached us and apologized for missing an entree due to a computer glitch and gave us a complimentary entree instead.
The value of the food is on the steep side. Quality of food was good.
Expected a little more flavor on the 'baseball steak' entree.
The trio cheesecake could have been presented on a smaller plate considering the portion size .
The Wild Fig provided tasty, hearty food. The service was good but it would have been nice to get water refills without having to ask. Nice ambiance but music was a little loud when the live music came on. Overall it was a good experience.
This felt very upscale, we could have been in a nice hotel anywhere in the world.
Service cannot be beat, presentation was well done, food was delicious and if you are out to impress take your company here. Added bonus was easy listening music by piano player.
