Arrived a few minutes prior to our reservation, were seated quickly, had a great server (sorry, I forgot her name) she was Italian, lively, congenial and a delight. Food was excellent, enjoyed listening to the music from the grand piano, while sitting in front of the fire. Wonderful time!

Wait time with reservation was excellent. We sat down to order at 7:45, and reservation was for 8:00. Waitstaff was highly knowledgeable of the selections of food available.

There is no place in the the Augusta/Aiken area that I'd rather sit and have a drink or meal than the lobby of the Willcox Hotel. The food is usually very good but the ambiance is outstanding. Sitting in the restaurant itself turns it into just another dinner in a nice hotel, and sitting by the pool turns it into an overpriced meal in plastic chairs. The front porch looks like a possibility, but given the choice, the lobby is the place to be. Food prices are good, and the well-stocked bar offers very good prices.

food service table etc all good. i took my wife for her birthday. prior to that i called to see if they do anything special and the lady on the phone said “the chef has a special vegan dinner and dessert picked out for her”. well the waiter knew nothing about it and the pasta had cheese and milk base in it! vegans don’t eat cheese or milk products! so they proved promised and under delivered in that respect. it was a good night all in all.

We came here to celebrate a birthday. It was a very nice restaurant but the food was a bit salty and $$$$$ but the birthday boy like it and that's all that mattered.

Enjoyed my tuna appetizer and the steak tartare. Wife said Branzino was tasty although a little over the top with baby tomatoes. All in all a nice dinner with a very good reasonably priced house wine by the glass. Hotel ia very historic with a nice happy hour .

My wife ordered a glass of wine. Selected wine was not available, so server suggested another. Turns out the wine was $14 for 1 ounce/$42 for 3 ounces/$84 for 6 ounces. This was not told to us, so when the check game, we thought it was a mistake. We should have been told that the wine was that expensive. Also, ribeye and filet were good, not great. Disappointed!

We are frequent diners at the Wilcox for several reasons. The service is impeccable. Bruce is our favorite server. The entrees are always well-crafted and well-balanced and the salads are beautiful and delicious. The Wilcox burger is absolutely spectacular and quite affordable for the value. The specials are also consistently impressive. We try to go at least once a month if we can.

We decided to give the Wilcox another shot after we didn’t have the best first experience and we are so happy to say that this time we were blown out the water with service, experience, and the food! Mr. Bruce was our waiter and I don’t think we have ever had a more genuine, professional, and kind server ever. He went above and beyond to do little things that he reassured us he would want done if he was in our shoes! He gave us a few laughs but also let us enjoy our alone time! This was our first anniversary so it was quite a special dinner and he made sure it was one to remember! I enjoyed the filet which was phenomenal and my husband had the beef stroganoff which he liked but he has quite a simple palate so it wasn’t his absolute favorite! However we had the Bundt cake and crème brûlée for dinner and they were so so good. We can’t thank Mr. Bruce enough for making our night one to remember, exceptional service goes such a long way and we are so thankful. We’re also so glad we tried the Wilcox out again and we’re so impressed this time! We can’t wait to dine again.

Three friends and I recently met for lunch at the Willcox. We all had sandwiches, burgers and a variety of desserts. The dining room was very pleasant, and the service was accommodating. The food was delicious and the desserts were especially enjoyed. We would recommend the Willcox for a nice lunch whenever visiting Aiken.

Winston was a great server. This was our first visit and he was very helpful and informative. The lobby was a little hectic when we walked in but Winston told us that it was Jazz night and that it was a very popular night.

An exceptional fine dining experience with attentive, friendly service and delicious starters and entrees. The Korean marinated pork riblets were a scrumptious appetizer with an Asian zesty seasoning and the heirloom tomato burrato came with toast and a Greek soft cottage cheese. The opa and salmon entrees were gently seasoned and accompanied with assorted shredded vegetables, providing a fine side. It was a wonderful dining experience to celebrate our “first date” (1975) anniversary!

The tuna poke was a wonderful appetizer. The salmon and octopus were very good. The Salmon was better than the octopus, but both were good. Stephanie was a wonderful server.
