At a very busy time (stampede), they were short two staff due to covid, which complicated service delivery. Three different staff dealt with us snd our order during the time we were there. Everything took way too long. Food was excellent though!!

We sat in a booth directly under the AC vent. Our server acknowledged it as well and said he could feel the cold draft but didn’t do anything about it. Food and coffee kept getting cold asap. The food selection was a bit underwhelming. No waffles/pancakes, no breads/bagels, cereal options, no yogurt selections, fresh fruit was pineapple and cantaloupe, coffee was weak. I suppose that’s what you get for $35 these days.

It was an extra $5 for the pitas for the spinach dip which didn’t feel reasonable considering it wasn’t enough pitas on the plate for the amount of dip. Otherwise great drinks and great patio.

Went for their Sunday brunch buffet and I am glad there's another great buffet place reopens. Really good egg benedit which is made to order. I wish there's more dessert selections and I remember their pastry and bread used to be better. Otherwise, great food and service.

Being attached to a hotel kind of takes away the fine dinning feeling and the food was just, OK. I do have to say, I ordered a virgin Cesar and it was the best Cesar I think I’ve ever had so for cocktails it’s amazing! It wouldn’t be my top 10 for recommending but overall it was a good experience I just wasn’t wow’ed by anything but the drink.

Seated at a booth at 1st. Very uncomfortable because the seats are so low relative to the table top (likely worn). The table at the booth was also too wide making it difficult to talk with someone across the table. Moved to a table and chairs - a lot more comfortable but not as private. Menu was just ok with minimal selection.

It was nice to get back to Thomson’s after the COVID hiatus. The remodel of the bar area is tasteful. Service was friendly and efficient. We had the steak sandwich and the fish and chips. Both meals were well prepared and tasty. The fish dish was well priced, a good meal. We found the steak to be somewhat overpriced. Adding a second side would make it better value.

We go to Thomson's almost every year for Easter Brunch. As expected the service and ambiance are excellent. Usually the food is also but this year the brunch was impacted by the absence of brunch "staples." The selection is usually diverse but for some reason there was no selection of pancakes nor waffles. For $75 per adult those staples should haver been there. When asked why no pancakes nor waffles one of the cooks responded, "pandemic." When I questioned how the pandemic could possible affect those foods as opposed to all others, he responded, "I don't know." And then he added, "next Sunday's brunch will feature waffles and pancakes." They also have allocated the front of the restaurant to a children's "play area" equipped with toys. The subsequent level of noise was disruptive and misplaced during a formal brunch. Even so, we've been impressed with the brunch for far too many years to let this experience impact our attendance next year.

We were celebrating my birthday & Easter family brunch. We stayed at this hotel and I requested a more private, quiet table. We were seated in an open high traffic area next to an extremely loud play area! For such an incredibly expensive meal was not a good experience at all. Highly regret booking it.

Disappointed this time around. Been here a number of times, the breakfast buffet was always good, but they no longer offer. Coffee was cold, service was lacking. This restaurant is part of the Hyatt so you expect the food to be of highest quality. Had better gf bread elsewhere, poor choice.

I ordered the hamburger, it wasn’t very good. The patties were undercooked, the flavour wasn’t very good, and the French fries were undercooked. I suggest making 1 large burger patty instead of 2 small ones. Milestones across the street makes a much better burger. I will not have your burger again.

Having dined there before I was surprised at our experience last Friday evening. The staff seemed disorganized, we were asked multiple times if someone had taken our order by different staff, and when we said no they said they would be back. When we were finally looked after we ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrees. Drinks arrived quickly however the appetizer and our entrees arrived at the same time. When I mentioned that it wasn't ideal I was told sorry as they walked away, it was obvious they didn't care. Food was not of the quality I had enjoyed before either with the mushroom ravioli barely warm and chunky lumps of rice in the curry. The steak sandwich was OK but not seasoned as I have enjoyed before I am aware that covid has made for challenging staffing but to be treated flippantly by the staff didn't have my empathy extended as far as it would typically I stay at the Hyatt for both business and personal travel and always dine at Thomsons. This however has left me rethinking my future choices

Great service with fantastic recommendations. Hubby had the mushroom ravioli and loved it, our daughter had the fish and I had the steak. The highlight was the red sangria. One of the best I have had!

It was nice to see Thomson's busier than in the past few months. That said, the menu seemed a little sparse. Hopefully this rectifies itself with restrictions easing and people eating out more.
