Tide & Vine
For a shared dinner, try one of the chilled seafood plates such as the cold smoked trout or seafood tartare to be enjoyed. Guests at The Tide & Vine can indulge in a dessert of chocolate mousse or hot maple pudding for a unique and sweet finish to every surf and turf dish.
We had the absolute perfect lunch here! We started with loads of oysters which our waiter was so knowledgeable and helpful in choosing. We then had the chowder. Words can’t describe how wonderful this was!!! Then on to the lobster roll. Again, we were blown away. This will with out a doubt be a memorable meal from this trip. Not only was the food outstanding, the staff was so so so amazing! We almost didn’t realize we had left the South with their level of hospitality. If in Niagara Falls, don’t hesitate. Just go!
Great Restaurant in an unusual spot service and food was amazing great find and glad we had this experience. Would highly recommend.
Had a great birthday dinner for my parents! Everything we had from the oysters to the lobster bake was fantastic! Great happy hour deal for oysters and wine! Service was friendly and smiling! Great find off the beaten path for a trip to Niagara.
Very surprised, we thought it would be alot smaller but there is plenty of room and the tables are large.
The food is excellent, the portions are a bit smaller but filling.
We all had drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert, price came to about $85 per person including tips. We will definitely be coming back here.
This is an excellent restaurant to go to for seafood. The menu was appealing and we tasted a fair selection. Our waiter, Kory, was very attentive and the service was excellent. We enjoyed everything! My only other comment is that the bell ringing was a little distracting.
Food awesome, service awesome. Look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. It was a little noisy.
A must! Truly hidden gem on the outskirts of Niagara Falls. The environment was lively, the food was was well thought out and the service was amazing. Finally, Cory was our sever and he was awesome!
Absolutely Delicious! And waitress was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable. A must in Kingston.
Must go-to restaurant when you are in Niagara Falls. Everything was amazing;food, service, atmosphere.
This place is still as great as I remember it from coming there two years ago for our anniversary. Nothing ever fails to amaze us here. The staff is great and accommodating, and the food is out of this world. :) The last time we stayed in Niagara Falls area we went there 3 times in one week. I can still say I’d do it again on this trip.
Amazing tasties and great staff!
Wonderful seafood and great local wine list. Ambiance lovely. Staff were great!
It is a nice casual seafood restaurant with a great selection of options. I feel the price is a bit high for the overall experience, the service seemed a bit rushed and not up to standard/ as friendly and attentive to what I was expecting for this style/caliber of restaurant. I like that it has expanded and the decor is generally nice. I was thinking it would of been more of a romantic atmosphere. I had the seafood tower for two and I really liked the variety and selection, wished the lobster and crab legs were warm? Instead of cold version. The maple tart dessert was too hot and I tasted too much liquid?
The service was awful, they told us one thing but then would do another. They told us to look st the oyster menu for happy hour and select 6 but then changed their minds and said we could only have the cheapest. Not to mention it was my boyfriends birthday and the host said she would give a birthday special but then never brought anything. She failed to mention you have to pay for the birthday special. Very disappointed to come here from far and not getting the full experience
Went to this restaurant on the last night of our 3 nights in Niagara on the lake. Was thinking to go to a better restaurant and found this online with good reviews so we made reservation and got a table at 6.45. Came 15 minutes early and table was ready. Not too noisy the whole time we were there. Ordered cider for the drink. Not the typical cider that we accustomed with, it was less sweet. I ordered shrimp coconut and it was good. My partner order seafood chowder and he told me it was just ok. For main dish we both ordered risotto with lobster. When they arrived it was not cook properly.. the rice was still not cook. I send my plate back. My partner ate his simply because he was very hungry. They did try do all they could to recover from this. Good on this part. Gave me a new plate. Problem still with the rice (not as bad as before) and the taste was over concentrated and the grill lobster was over cooked. Maybe I choose the wrong day and food. They offered me free dessert but I just want to go out as soon as I can simply because I was not happy with the experience.. they took my appetizer off the bill though. Again good service, good in dealing with problems occurring during service but need to work more on that risotto.. and chowder
We had a nice meal, but not spectacular.
Paying 45$ for a pork chop and lobster tail, you would expect something that blows your mind.
If you like seafood, then this is the place. Outstanding food. Great service. Nice ambience. In short, a five-star dining experience. Can't recommend this place enough!
Wonderful OysterBar and staff with personality. We sat at the bar talking to local patrons making our experience even better.. The shucker was knowledgable of his product and wine list and the food excellent. We will be sure to be there in 2020 when the Tide and Vine Oyster White has returned.
Definitely our favourite restaurant. The food is always delicious and the oysters fantastic. Always have to have some seafood chowder and the chocolate mousse. We need bigger stomachs!
This place truly is a hidden gem. We went here on our mini-moon trip to Niagara Falls and wanted something different. We saw that this place had good reviews, so we booked a table. When we pulled up and saw it was in a strip mall, we hesitated, seafood from a strip mall joint? YES!! This was our first time trying oysters and our waitress was so sweet! Everything was delicious. We had the raw oysters, fried oysters, and the tuna salad. When we go back, we will definitely be sure to dine here again.
Excellent experience! The waiter Kory was very accommodating with my many food allergies and was very attentive to the table. They have a wide variety of oysters that are local and many different beer choices. If you enjoy seafood, this is the place to eat! Highly recommend.
It's easy to fall in love with this place!
My wife and I were in Niagara Falls from Buffalo for an overnight without our children. We dine out often in Buffalo and have yet to find too many places in Niagara Falls that meet the level of quality that is so readily available in many Buffalo restaurants… In short we have often labeled Niagara Falls dining experiences as a tourist trap with few options for quality. That changed when we ate at Tide and Vine restaurant, in fact we remarked that the city of Buffalo needs a place or two similar to Tide and Vine if for no other reason than the quality with which they select and serve their many varieties of fresh oysters. In addition to being extremely high quality product, they were opened and presented better than any where I have ever had oysters served (Worth noting is the fact that I order oysters very often and I frequently purchase oysters for consumption in my home). The menu was chock-full of many other options, from lobster dishes to cioppino and several other varieties of fresh fish, All of which looked excellent as they came out of the kitchen to the surrounding tables. The seafood chowder was outstanding too.
We enjoyed our meal and were able to accommodate allergies to gluten, dairy and egg with the special of the day with attention paid to the allergies.
Excellent food, excellent service. This was true on both of our visits. We love seafood, and this place was very good. The pate app was well presented. I was a little disappointed in the size of the oysters, (Nova Scotia), but the taste was pretty good. I was baffled by the variety of sauces offered, none of which came close to the catsup/horseradish/olive oil/lemon I'm used to. The waiter/bartender was great, and knowledgeable about the local craft beers.
On our 2nd visit (a Friday), we were seated near the bar, and it was just too loud. The bartender from our previous visit welcomed us, but did not serve us. The chowder was very good, as was the Cioppolini.
We were glad to support a local "shucking in Niagara" effort, and recommend it heartily.
Great food, but expensive! Service was good, nice, but not outstanding. Presentation of oysters was excellent. Noise level was very loud and was distracting.
Excellent food and great, knowledgable staff make this our favourite local spot.
My wife had lunch at the Tide & Vine, so took me there for dinner on Thursday night. Had Arctic Char on a lentil salad. It was very good, reminded me of the char I used to bring south out of Cambridge Bay during my military transport pilot days. Service was good, the waitress sought out answers to the questions she couldn't answer right away.
Excellent service, our server was Lauren. I’m from Manhattan & the food
Was just as good as the best NYC Seafood restaurants. Wine was fantastic, can’t say enough good things about this spot. Restaurant is located in a strip mall, don’t let that throw you off.
Tide and Vine went above and beyond for my cousin's Annie's birthday. We had a late reso and was also running behind.
Lauren, our beautiful server called to place our dinner order before we arrived at the location.
We ended up having the entire restaurant to ourselves and ate at the bar.
It was so magical. The food was super yummy.
Lauren, you are a gem.
Thank you so much.
See you again so soon. Much warmth.
Best meal I have had in a while. Staff are awesome!
Great food and excellent service. Will not disappoint.
Amazing food and service, wait staff were incredible made my son feel very special and the drinks were fantastic
Please see my TripAdvisor review! My handle is “Screwball”. Wonderful experience! Thank you!
If you crave quality sea food dishes this fine, but casual restaurant, is the very best one that I know of in the Niagara (on the Lake) region. It has never disappointed but always savored. Interesting place as well.
Food was excellent!!! Great find of the main strip.
We loved our meal! From the moment we walked in we knew it was a good decision! Everyone is very nice and welcoming. Everything was fabulous from our drinks, appetizers and entrees. Highly recommend. We were staying near Niagara Falls but totally worth the 10 minute drive away from the main strip.
Granted, we are seafood snobs so our expectations were high. The baked oysters were tiny, over cooked and not the freshest. We also tried the fried ones. They were a little bigger but again, tasted off. Total lack of seasoning on both. The seafood salad consisted of 3 tiny pieces of scallops, a fish mush and two overdone lobster claws. Totally disappointing.
Best cioppino I've ever had! Lobster risotto, and the chowder, were exceptional too. Nothing missed the mark, and the service was friendly and attentive as well.
