Ever since the first caveman decided to slap a side of mammoth over the cave fire, man (and woman) has enjoyed the flavor of food cooked over a wood fire. At Timber Wood-Fire Bistro, all of our dishes are made from scratch using the highest quality ingredients. They are then cooked either over our state-of-the-art wood burning grill or in a brick oven heated by the embers of logs.
Cooking in this way imparts a slight smokiness as it brings out the natural flavors of the food. A juicy ribeye sizzles and caramelizes, giving the tender beef a gorgeous crust. The homemade dough for our pizzas rises in the heat, and the crust gets to be the perfect combination of crisp and chewy. Vegetables share an entirely new flavor profile when cooked over wood. Not what I was expecting from such a unique place. The food was fast to the table amd mostly yummy, but there was zero interest by our server in engaging with us more than the absolute minimum necessary. She never offered another glad of wine to anyone; I didn't hear if she even asked about dessert. We were in and out in under 45 minutes. Just ended up feeling rushed and unwelcome.

Timber Woodfire Bistro is one of our favorite restaurants. We suggest that making a reservation is highly recommended, maybe not for lunch. I'm a fan of the appetizers/small plates: especially Brussels Sprouts, Chicken Wings, French Onion Soup, and Mussels.

We went on Mother's day. Arrived with reservations and didn't get seated until 15 mins after our reservation time. The food took forever to get and we had to remind them of our drink order. When the food arrived my side wasn't out yet. My son's order wasn't correct (mac and cheese). Also for our oldest son (age 6) we ordered the kids shells with marinara which is actually spicy and not just marinara. My side of fries arrived 15 mins after the rest of our food and actually seemed to be just a small handful. The wait staff seemed uninterested in the food not being correct. Needless to say we won't be going back.

The dinner was a bit of a let down this time. The food portions were considerably smaller and everyone in our party had over cooked vegetables. We had to wait for our waiter for about 15 minutes after arriving and he seemed very frazzled and forgot water, silverware, and only brought part of our drink order. He was very apologetic and friendly. Overall we had a nice time, and will probably go back because usually the food is remarkable, maybe just an off night.

Brunch was fantastic !! The new cinnamon roll was great and EASY to cut !!!!! Thank you Timber !!! I had my usual chicken & waffle, the pomegranate sauce was back and VERY delicious!!!! Happy Happy !! Taylor took good care of us ! The boss’s jalapeño bacon , Rosti potatoes , bagel and “Schmir “ were all , we will back yummy . Well done Timber !!!!

Our Timber Hacked salads were missing several ingredients. It was mainly lettuce and cheese for $18 each. We asked for more chicken and fresh avocado since my friend’s avocado was brown. There was little to no egg, tomato, candied walnuts and dried cranberries. I called the manager after we left and he said because we didn’t ask for new salads, there was nothing he could do except for talk to the chef. Very disappointing and we won’t be going back.

Such a great place to have a nice bite with friends! I had never been here for dinner, but it did not disappoint! Our server, Curtis, was very kind and personable; the food was absolutely to die for; and the ambiance was like an “elevated cozy” feel. Definitely will be coming back!

Had a reservation, but-the hostesses couldn’t figure where to sit is. Second time there, same result both times. Not going back, too many other great places to support in Omaha.

The food was delicious and our waiter was amazing. The only negative for me was we were seated in the front in between two large tables of parties and it was very loud but one of the left after 20 minutes which helped. I would definitely recommend this establishment!

Party of 12 all the food came out incomplete for example burger no fries , pancakes without the side of fruit etc . Had to keep reminding them we still haven’t gotten all of our food. Chicken was burnt it was really a mess . Had to ask the manager himself to remove dirty dishes he grabbed a plate and left the rest of the stack there never returned . Bar drinks was bad , white Russian was as white as milk . It was a really poor experience. We didn’t ask for anything to be compensated or remade we paid for our food tipped our waiter and left . This was not my first time visiting I actually been quite often and I’m who suggested we have the party brunch there so I was very embarrassed by the way things was going. I would suggest going with just a few people they seem to not manage good with large parties.
