   Service was fantastic!!! Very attentive and kind. Mussels was half fishy half fresh. Wouldn’t recommend. They kindly removed that off our bill Rib eye steaks & frites was really good. Pulled pork sandwich and fries were fantastic. Lamb shank was OK. The lamb itself was wonderful, but the vegetables it came with had sand in it. Couldn’t finish the dish

   Disappointing as I made a reservation fir brunch based on their site but turns out they no longer have a brunch or breakfast menu. The lunch menu was pretty limited, only had one entrée and salad.

   It was our first visit to Time & Place in Burnaby. And we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It was a 3 course Valentine’s Day dinner. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. We will definitely visit the restaurant again.

   The servers were attentive and friendly. The food was a little disappointing. My husband had the French onion soup and I had the duck breast as an appetizer. The soup was bland and duck was dry and came with a squash puree that was grainy and bland. We both had the Braised Beef Short Rib. They should have called it pot roast as I don't think it was a short rib cut. It tasted fine and the beef was cooked until tender but the portions were so small that I left the table hungry. The dessert was a earl grey creme brulee and that was rich and creamy and was a nice finish.

   Honestly, not much good to say about this meal or this place. We came for the “Dine Out Vancouver” experience, which they were boasting maple-bourbon roasted duck, pan seared arctic char, and a nice white chocolate “silk” dessert. I had made a reservation, and when arriving, they attempted to sit us in the back behind a pole. When we asked about the possibility of dining near the window, they declined, stating the window seats were for reservations only. This was funny to me, considering we were one of those reservations! Oh well, to the back wall/pole we went. It could only get better from here, right? What I received for the duck was a cold, tough hunk of duck meat, some arugula, and sauce that had hardened from seemingly being plated days ago. It was flat out disgusting to consume. For the Char, I received the fish with skin so crispy and hard it wouldn’t come off and couldn’t be chewed, served in a heaping bowl of the blandest broth water I’ve ever tasted. Drowning alongside the char were some sad, tasteless fingerling potatoes and peas. Just gross. Again. The dessert was equally as disappointing as the rest of the meal. “White chocolate silk” was clearly code name for some nasty chocolate pudding with whipped cream on top, something they serve geriatric people at homes who no longer have the luxury of taste. The beer I ordered was fine, so there’s that. At $45/person, this was an unacceptable meal, and I would never, ever recommend that anyone go out of their way to dine at Time & Place. Extremely disappointed to have spent north of $120 on this “experience”.

   Came in for Dine Out Vancouver menu. Three course including an appie, a main and dessert. I'm celiac and have a dairy intolerance. The duck breast appie was well seasoned and tasty, however was just barely warm. I was also only provided the equivalent of butter knife when the meat could have used a more purpose built and sharper knife. I had the Artic Char main. Cook on the fish was great and they nailed the crispy skin. Selection of mushrooms was nice, but a smidge undercooked as were the fingerling potatoes. I also didn't understand the concept of the dish with that much broth and fingerlings. I would suggest a starchier cubes potato cooked in the broth if you're going for an Asian flavour which I think this dish was trying for. Was offered a lovely fruit plate as a gluten free and dairy free option. Overall the dinner was good. Service was a bit slow at times but everyone was working hard. Was surprised that even though the online version of the menu indicated gluten free items, the printed version in the restaurant did not.

    Worst steak I’ve ever had. Full of fat and gristle totally inedible. Food was overpriced. Server kept hovering but didn’t even me proper utensils or refilled water timely.

    the food was tasty and enjoyable, ordered salad, lamb shank, and the salmon. Ordered dessert which took 20 minutes to arrive and then could not even get a fork through it, it was hard as a rock! Service was excellent though.

    Foods are good as usual, it's our 3rd time having dinner at this restaurant. Our favorite server has left but our experience with this female server wasn't bad though. The noise level was too high at the beginning but after a large group left everything was fine. Thanks, we had great time at your restaurant!

    I stayed at the Hilton Metrotown and came into Vancouver from Whistler to celebrate my sister’s birthday at Time & Place. Our server was Jose and he was so attentive, personable and charming! He made sure we had everything we needed and gave us a plate of fresh house made chips that was delicious. The food was amazing here and we really enjoyed the smoked lamb shank. My family already wants to return to have that again. Steve also helped with our table and was very friendly. All great staff working here even the breakfast crew! Thanks for making my sister’s birthday a happy and memorable one!

    This was such a surprise. We got good such great friendly service from all the staff. They made us feel special and made sure we did not have any concerns. The food was excellent. The mussels were one of the best dishes we had in any restaurant.

    Service is good. We did the Rib Platter feast. It's a bit pricey but the food and taste are ok. One comment is the mussels were very small. It's not even the size of my pinkie.

    Came for HH with a friend. The restaurant is spacious and the service very good and food above average. There is a patio but too cool to sit outside yesterday. Enjoyed the red sangria, tempura cauliflower and beans and salt & pepper chicken wings. The beef brisket sliders were on the dry side so didn’t enjoy as much. What I liked: reasonable prices, casual atmosphere, and you can sit and chat away the afternoon. I might come back to try their special bbq feast dinner.

    Had three appies for dinner on this first visit. Brisket sandwich - very good and loaded. Truffle fries - best ever. Crispy, hot, and fragrant. Poutine - same awesome fries, good gravy, decent curds. Had breakfast there three mornings too and thought it was very good.

    We really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. Great lighting with lots of floor to ceiling windows. The food quality was tremendous, the steak was melt-in-your mouth delicious. The seating was comfortable and the tables were not too close together. The service was great, attentive but not overly so - just the perfect amount of checking-in. The only issue was the parking. We weren't staying at the hotel, so we had to deal with the parkade which is quite cumbersome and very very busy. The parking was free as long as you park in the correct zones which worked out well for us. Would definitely recommend.

    We had one of our best meals while in Vancouver and the service was outstanding. Christine, our server, went above and beyond and made it so that our evening was just perfect. We will definitely go back the next time we are in the area.

    The foods were so delicious! We had the mussels to share and rib eye and pasta for the main. The service was EXCEPTIONAL! We don’t understand why the restaurant was so quiet. We would definitely go back again, again and again!

    Although finding the parking can be challenging the first visit it is well worth it. Quiet, good food, good service and close to transit (free parking as well). One of the nicest non chain restaurants in Burnaby

    We enjoyed our meal at Time and Place and found it through the Bite of Burnaby Food Festival. Steve was an excellent waiter. The food presentation was attractive, the meal very tasty and enough.

    Food was good! Went there to celebrate 2 birthdays and decided to do dine out. It was our family’s first dine out experience and first time at the restaurant. Not sure if they were short staffed that night but food came out super slow. Our reservation was at 1830 but main course didn’t get served until almost 2000. Good thing dine out menu came with appetizers because we were starving. No one came to check on us in between serving our dishes. I tried looking for staff so that I can have my sister and boyfriend’s deserts have happy birthday written on them or something. Unfortunately couldn’t find anyone and no one came to check on our table in between food serving. However when they did come, they were nice enough and even took time to take a family photo. I would still go back because the food was good.

    DineOut Vancouver promo - food was delicious, service delightfully unintrusive. Asparagus and crab salad to start, very subtle flavors and I was expecting it to be warm but was served quite cool. Flat-iron steak as main, beautiful flavors, perfectly-cooked and a very generous portion. Served on a bed of (wild?) mushrooms, veg and some flavorful puree. I love how this dish allowed the natural beef flavor to dominate rather than using a lot of sauce. My partner had a perfectly cooked Halibut fillet, I am not a lover of fish, but the small piece I tasted of this was really delicious and the portion was generous. Finally, a salted caramel brownie with vanilla ice-cream is one of the best desserts I have had in a long time, again the portion was so generous that I was lucky to enjoy the remainder of the brownie next day with a coffee - I will return for this brownie alone! I loved our server, he was so polite and professional and just the perfect level of interaction I would have preferred my food to be warmer (tbf I did not consider this until afterward) and the background music could have been more unintrusive (admittedly this is subjective) but overall we really enjoyed our meal here and will certainly look forward to eating from this kitchen again.
