Tin Lizzy's - Duluth
Food excellent! But it was hot and did not have thr a/c on at all. The tables were sticky and gross. No hostess and I had to ask them to clean off our table.
Made a reservation and arrived to an hour wait. Very Long line at the bar. Had to leave for our concert tickets before we got a seat. Horrible experience
This location should NOT be allowed to take reservations on Open table. They can not accommodate reservations before concerts at the Infinite Energy Arena. The staff were perfectly nice but we were not able to eat there at our reservation time.
I am huge fan of Tin Lizzy's but I would recommend they not take any reservations on nights there are concerts at Infinite Energy. We had a reservation but were told the wait was an hour and a half. We planned for plenty of time to eat and walk over for the concert, but were unable to have dinner. I understand the demand is extremely high on concert days, but taking reservations seems like a bad idea.
Had a reservation for 6 at 6 pm before a 7:30 pm concert next door. Was told it would be at least an hour wait. This restaurant was overwhelmed and shouldn’t take reservations they can keep quite simply. Why would I ever go back? Thankfully the Holiday Inn next door accommodated our group.
If you plan to go to this location prior to a concert DO NOT RELY ON THIS PLACE. Even with reservations that called an hour and 15 minutes later to say that my reservation was ready. This is standard practice here and I will never go back
Showed up with a reservation before a concert and were told it would be an hour and a half from our reservation time. Perfectly acceptable to not be able to accommodate reservations on the day of a concert, but they should just not be accepted at all. Further, we called multiple times to check on the status of our reservation and were never informed that reservations were behind and not being honored - extremely confused why this wasn't explained up front to save everyone the hassle.
Made reservations almost 2 weeks in advance due to Sturgill Simpson concert. When we got there, the hostess said it would be an additional hour plus due to overbooking. We waited in line at the bar for drinks for almost an hour...just for a draft beer!!! They were running out of everything and did not have enough staff. You would think that this bar, so close to the concert venue would know when it would be packed out due to a concert. It was insane. There were open tables but no one would let us sit at them "they were reserved". We tried to explain to several people that we had reservations. When we finally got our drinks, we left. Needless to say we were starving at the concert! So sad :(
I made a reservation for 10 people at 5 pm prior to a concert. Opentable let me make a reservation. When we arrived to restaurant my name was put on a list that allowed 'priority seating'.. we never got seated. I understand they have no control over how busy it gets and they cannot hold tables but they should not let you make a reservation if they are not going to seat you when you arrive at the correct time with the full party.
We arrived for our reservation and were given an 1 1/2 hour wait time. Were told that they had cancelled our reservation. Didn’t get to eat dinner.
It was an absolute zoo....don’t think they were prepared for the event at the Arena. It took us thirty mins to get cocktails, and that’s because my husband finally went to bar himself. Our server had too many tables. We talked to hostess, who we noticed had stepped in to wait tables ❤️. She made it right!
Great atmosphere! Food was delicious!
Great food very noisy
Got drinks from bar so late we got them free. 3 Margaritas came in little plastic cups. One was full and two were not.
They were packed but seated us quickly and served us quickly.
We dined before a concert and had a reservation. They were expectedly crowded, but did not have a table ready. We waited well beyond our reservation time. The servers were frazzled and it showed. I get that the job is tough - I’ve done it myself - but deep sighs and eye rolling doesn’t make for a very pleasant experience. The food was delivered in a timely fashion but was mediocre at best. I’ll likely select another restaurant next time we dine in this area.
Got a rez here before a concert at the Arena and fortunately so, as they honored our rez despite our late arrival (traffic!!!!) with a full house waiting. This forgives their typical bar menu of tacos and the like, but we were so appreciative to get fed in & out, we love them!
We had reservations because I wasn’t sure if anything was happening at the Arena but it was pretty empty. We sat immediately and a nice young lady was our waitress. This is where is turned. The rest of our party showed up (table of 4) and the waitress came by to get our drink orders. It was VERY loud (the Patriots were playing...I think) because some fan was YELLING at the top of his lungs! We realize we are in a bar setting...so that was fine...but not everyone was there for the game. I get some form of celebration is necessary, but yelling and cussing constantly shouldn’t be the norm, especially if kids are around (we didn’t have any in our party). After we got our drinks there was a LONG wait for our server to come back for our order. Once we put it in, it took even longer for the meal to get to us. So long that we had to flag down a manager (an African American female) and she checked on things for us. She apologized but the noise and the seeming non-concern of our waitress put a damper on our night. Mind you, this place was worse with customers so we could have been well attended to. Needless to say, I don’t think we will return because of this. If they can’t get it right during a slow period, I don’t feel confident that a place full with customers would be any better.
I always have food service and receive friendly vibes here.
We will never go here again. We had a reservation, arrived 5 minutes early but weren't even able to order our food for over an hour. Our server was nowhere to be found and we had to keep walking around trying to find people to get even a glass of water. Finally we begged to order our food, and it took forever. (Let me also say the restaurant was NOT crowded!) Again we had to walk around to prompt people for drink refills, and to ask about our food. When it finally came, only some of it came and some of it was incorrect. Our server was not at all apologetic the entire time, about any of it. No manager to be found, although finally we requested to speak to him and he emerged from the kitchen area. Our server had finally brought checks, but we expressed to the manager we didn't think we should be paying for any of this. He did end up comping the meal (upon our urging). The food was so-so and we will NEVER go back.
Very, very slow service with good that is forgettable. Very loud making it hard to talk to my table companion.
The menu has been tapered down and not nearly as many selections as we have seen in the past and it was more like fast food then restaurant food.
Super fun time! Everyone enjoyed their food!
Out of several types of beer...
We had fun. Drinks were good and service was good also.
Was good except there was hair in my friends tacos. But they fixed it and gave her a new one.
Typical tin Lizzy’s. Really good food - terrible service.
Good food casual atmosphere good service
Walk in on a Sunday at 7pm. Seated promptly. It was dead in there. Daughter ordered a shirley temple - they can't make it (no grenadine - you have a fully stocked bar, but no grenadine). I ask about the Jekyll rotation selection - server says it's Jekyll and I respond, which one? She says she doesn't know (and doesn't offer to find out - the bar is 6 feet away from our table). Our drinks take 10+ minutes (there are no more than 12 customers in the restaurant, with half of them at the bar. We order queso without jalepeños - too bad, it's already mixed in there. I order chicken quesadillas, but I get steak. Waitress apologizes, but doesn't offer to fix it, she simply says "it's a new chef". My wife ordered a $9 cocktail - we were charged $14. At this point, I didn't bother saying anything. $86 for a quick dinner for two adults and one child.
We had a party of 14 after graduation at the Infinite Energy Arena and the service was fantastic. Food was great too. Highly recommend Tin Lizzy's Duluth!
This was a fantastic experience for my family and I. The customer service was great and the food was delicious.
Great place to go with a group. Food was awesome and great selection of tacos!
The server was terrible!!! She was gone for long periods of time. We could see her outside talking to her friends who were at an outside table. The server forgot to put in a kids order for our table my 4 year old was the last one severed. This Tin Lizzy’s did not have Oreo cookies that came wit the kids meal. On a Monday? Just bad service overall.
Our server was great, she went above and beyond, she always checked on us, and apologized several times for the food taking SO long. Which brings me to my next point, we waited over a hour for our food with a 3 year old and a 2 year old.
Food was mediocre, and the service very slow, despite the fact that it wasn’t a full restaurant. Also, I wanted so long for my change that I had to leave without receiving it.
Horrible customer experience - unlike anything thus glfar. Nobody wanted to serve me. Three waitresses walked by me each Ignored my calling to them. And I was within five feet of them. I actually asked the table next to me to help me get acknowledged - because of their help I did. I got water after 15 minutes but they would not take my drink or food order then. I had to eat and there was no other option. So I endured it. The fish tacos were soupy with thin white liquid and were inedible. The glasses were filthy. Getting the check was a hassle. Never again! Avoid this place!
I was a bit uncomfortable to sit at such a high bar counter. Its hard when you are drinking a tall beer because I had to move glass off the bar to be able to drink out of it without spilling it all over me.. its needs to be lowered about 3 or 4 inches to be at a comfortable level.
We love this place!
The food was good, cocktails delish and the service was excellent. However, you couldn't even talk to the others at your table because the music was way too loud. The waitress has to ask us to repeat ourselves because the music was so loud. It's a shame - it has been over a year since we have been to this particular Tin Lizzy's because of the overly loud music. Will probably be a while before we return, which is sad.
I’ve visited this location many times in the past and had great service and food so I was looking forward to having the same on this occasion.
We were seated fairly promptly and began looking over the menu to figure out what we wanted. Our server (who’s name I can’t remember) sat there impatiently looking as if they were busy (which they weren’t) I asked to have a water with lemon on the side to start me out and he brought it out but had one lemon placed on top of my cup (which would’ve been fine had his hand not be resting on top of my lemon)
In regards to the food, it was “just ok” as the temperature was lukewarm and lacked flavor.
Horrible. We made a 6:00 “reservation” on OpenTable. The hostess was overwhelmed and unorganized. We waited 25 minutes and were finally seated after inquiring twice about our reservation. We then sat at the table for 15 minutes without any service. We finally got up and left.
