Tin Lizzy's - Duluth
We will never go here again. We had a reservation, arrived 5 minutes early but weren't even able to order our food for over an hour. Our server was nowhere to be found and we had to keep walking around trying to find people to get even a glass of water. Finally we begged to order our food, and it took forever. (Let me also say the restaurant was NOT crowded!) Again we had to walk around to prompt people for drink refills, and to ask about our food. When it finally came, only some of it came and some of it was incorrect. Our server was not at all apologetic the entire time, about any of it. No manager to be found, although finally we requested to speak to him and he emerged from the kitchen area. Our server had finally brought checks, but we expressed to the manager we didn't think we should be paying for any of this. He did end up comping the meal (upon our urging). The food was so-so and we will NEVER go back.
Very, very slow service with good that is forgettable. Very loud making it hard to talk to my table companion.
The menu has been tapered down and not nearly as many selections as we have seen in the past and it was more like fast food then restaurant food.
Super fun time! Everyone enjoyed their food!
Out of several types of beer...
We had fun. Drinks were good and service was good also.
Was good except there was hair in my friends tacos. But they fixed it and gave her a new one.
Typical tin Lizzy’s. Really good food - terrible service.
Good food casual atmosphere good service
Walk in on a Sunday at 7pm. Seated promptly. It was dead in there. Daughter ordered a shirley temple - they can't make it (no grenadine - you have a fully stocked bar, but no grenadine). I ask about the Jekyll rotation selection - server says it's Jekyll and I respond, which one? She says she doesn't know (and doesn't offer to find out - the bar is 6 feet away from our table). Our drinks take 10+ minutes (there are no more than 12 customers in the restaurant, with half of them at the bar. We order queso without jalepeños - too bad, it's already mixed in there. I order chicken quesadillas, but I get steak. Waitress apologizes, but doesn't offer to fix it, she simply says "it's a new chef". My wife ordered a $9 cocktail - we were charged $14. At this point, I didn't bother saying anything. $86 for a quick dinner for two adults and one child.
We had a party of 14 after graduation at the Infinite Energy Arena and the service was fantastic. Food was great too. Highly recommend Tin Lizzy's Duluth!
This was a fantastic experience for my family and I. The customer service was great and the food was delicious.
Great place to go with a group. Food was awesome and great selection of tacos!
The server was terrible!!! She was gone for long periods of time. We could see her outside talking to her friends who were at an outside table. The server forgot to put in a kids order for our table my 4 year old was the last one severed. This Tin Lizzy’s did not have Oreo cookies that came wit the kids meal. On a Monday? Just bad service overall.
Our server was great, she went above and beyond, she always checked on us, and apologized several times for the food taking SO long. Which brings me to my next point, we waited over a hour for our food with a 3 year old and a 2 year old.
Food was mediocre, and the service very slow, despite the fact that it wasn’t a full restaurant. Also, I wanted so long for my change that I had to leave without receiving it.
Horrible customer experience - unlike anything thus glfar. Nobody wanted to serve me. Three waitresses walked by me each Ignored my calling to them. And I was within five feet of them. I actually asked the table next to me to help me get acknowledged - because of their help I did. I got water after 15 minutes but they would not take my drink or food order then. I had to eat and there was no other option. So I endured it. The fish tacos were soupy with thin white liquid and were inedible. The glasses were filthy. Getting the check was a hassle. Never again! Avoid this place!
I was a bit uncomfortable to sit at such a high bar counter. Its hard when you are drinking a tall beer because I had to move glass off the bar to be able to drink out of it without spilling it all over me.. its needs to be lowered about 3 or 4 inches to be at a comfortable level.
We love this place!
The food was good, cocktails delish and the service was excellent. However, you couldn't even talk to the others at your table because the music was way too loud. The waitress has to ask us to repeat ourselves because the music was so loud. It's a shame - it has been over a year since we have been to this particular Tin Lizzy's because of the overly loud music. Will probably be a while before we return, which is sad.
I’ve visited this location many times in the past and had great service and food so I was looking forward to having the same on this occasion.
We were seated fairly promptly and began looking over the menu to figure out what we wanted. Our server (who’s name I can’t remember) sat there impatiently looking as if they were busy (which they weren’t) I asked to have a water with lemon on the side to start me out and he brought it out but had one lemon placed on top of my cup (which would’ve been fine had his hand not be resting on top of my lemon)
In regards to the food, it was “just ok” as the temperature was lukewarm and lacked flavor.
Horrible. We made a 6:00 “reservation” on OpenTable. The hostess was overwhelmed and unorganized. We waited 25 minutes and were finally seated after inquiring twice about our reservation. We then sat at the table for 15 minutes without any service. We finally got up and left.
Was called on my way to the restaurant at 5:40pm if I was still making my 5:45pm reservations. The girl on the phone was rude. I told her yes. half my party would be there within the next 5 mins. She interuppted me and said "Well, it's 5:41" so I said ok they will be there in 4 mins and she hung up. I will not go back. That is rude and uncalled for. I understand they were busy but we were not late.
We had a reservation for 5:45 pm on Friday which also was an event night next door. We walked right in and was seated immediately. All I can say is Wow. Service was great.
Made a reservation for 5:45 and had to wait over an hour to be seated. What's the point of making reservations here?
Our Waitress sexed... screwed food order up and drink orders .... waited 16 minutes before anyone even recognized we were there at our table ...
Made reservation on Open Table with no problem. Got a confirmation email too. Arrived at restaurant only to be told the reservation would not be honored because there was an event the same evening at the venue nearby. If certain dates are not available for reservations, the restaurant should remove those dates from Open Table's website so people don't rely on a reservation only to be turned away when they arrive.
On the open table app it requests if you want high top or regular table. I requested regular. We were sat a hightop. We sat for a good 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. The waitress asked if anyone had waited on us. Told her no. She took our drink orders and food. We were severed our drinks then the food runner brought food. No one ever asked about how everything was or for additional drinks. We had to ask for check. Doubt we go back.
Went there before the TSO show on 12/8. They accommodated our party of 8 perfectly. Good service good food.
Overall a decent place for dinner. Lots of televisions to watch which is nice. I was disappointed in the server in that she’s brand new and didn’t seem to know exactly what she was doing yet. I don’t fault her for that necessarily but you can’t serve a table and then disappear for a long time and expect to get a good review. That was my experience on this night. The food was pretty good not great but pretty good. Because the server was new she didn’t really know what to recommend for us which is a bit disappointing. Seem like she was reading from the script. She didn’t know what beers they offer together which is extremely disappointing.
Three of the five orders were messed up, when corrected we were doubled charged for the item. Didn't realized until we were home. Server was kind of defensive. Overall is was fine but a bunch of little screw ups were annoying and service was slow.
Great place for a group
Convenient online reservation scheduling. The food never disappoints! Will be back.
Everyone enjoyed their drinks- coconut margarita and sangria. The tacos, shrimp skillets, chicken tortilla soup were very tasty. Service by Marcus was attentive and cordial. A great way to celebrate a well-earned graduation.
We consistatly enjoy the food and location. Their chips and dip are fantastic. Our only complaint is they never seem to have enough staff, we sit down and wait 10 minutes for water because our server has lots of tables. The food is good enough though that we continue to return just with the knowledge we have a wait.
I just want to say a big thanks to our server as well as the management staff for accommodating our large party on short notice, they were very friendly professional, patient(so nice we had the kiddos) and efficient! Thanks again and we def will be back!
Perfect! They were waiting on our party of 8! Great service!
We visited prior to an event at the Infinite Energy Arena. I will say that the signage to get to the location could be better-- it's a little confusing for a first timer. Now we know where to go, but there really should be a turn left here sign after you make that first left into the area from Sugarloaf Parkway as it's a bit behind the hotel. We were promptly seated- arrived around 11:30 am on a Saturday. Service was great overall, but near the end of our meal the restaurant was much busier and did take a bit longer to get our bill and checkout. The food was fantastic and offered at a reasonable price for a family of 4-- fresh, too! We will be back (with a reservation of course to avoid seating waits). Overall, a great experience with good, affordable food and a nice comfortable environment.
Love “tapas” type specialty taco selection. Greet tequila choices. Attentive service. Must have trio & chips. (Salsa queso)
