Great food and great staff! Reasonable prices! The service is rapid.
Such an interesting concept. Loved sitting at the bar where one of the chefs was our waiter. Food was delicious - morcilla empanadas were my favourite
One of the best meals I've ever had. Incredible staff.
We had a great at Tiradito the food was excellent and Eddie our waiter was awesome.
Highly recommend tapas style restaurant and bar.
Fun spot, delicious Peruvian tapas. A bit loud, music was blasting. Bar seating only, so would not recommend for a party larger than 3 (maybe 4) people. Reasonably priced for creative, tasty food (though expect to spend around $100 for two diners depending on drinks)

Great stuff mostly. I think they reuse corn as garnish a tad too often in their dishes. Get boring quickly.
Tiradito one thing to be fixed is the heat problem !! We need Air Conditionner please :))
Great food. Noisy as we were sitting right in front of the bartenders but they were both fun and engaging. Would definitely go back
Food was delicious
Fun concept, not delivered well. Food good, but not great enough to make up for non-existent service.
La nourriture y est toujours délicieuse. La formule idéale est d'y aller à deux ou pour le lunch car le niveau sonore des heures les plus occupées ne favorise pas les conversations à plusieurs.
Everything was great but the bar was understaffed so it took over 30 mins for two drinks to be served.
On paper, this place sounded a lot better than it actually was. Good reviews, interesting sounding dishes, and a funky vibe. Being fans of Nikkei cuisine, we wanted to try it, and were very sorry we did afterwards. It isn’t really Nikkei cuisine rather more like a poorly executed fast food version of street food from Peru.
The first problem was that virtually every dish was deep fried, and in our opinion, and from what it looked like, not even prepared by a chef. It was as if someone thought of a menu where you could have someone who knew how to lower food into a fat fryer, and take it out after the food was cooked through, throw it on a plate, have someone else prep some other ingredients like rice or ‘trendy’ ingredients like quinoa and kale, throw tons of salt, pepper spice, and likely some flavour enhancer, and then deliver to the diners. Concept food. The taste as one can imagine was very unnatural, not healthy, not fresh, and frankly downright disgusting. We also didn’t like that, as we ate, there was someone right in front of us mixing raw seafood in a metal bowl and preparing other things. It was as if the whole bar was the kitchen. We took a few bites, looked at each other, and decided to pay and walk out.
It is worth proceeding with caution if you have any food allergies to anything on the menu because everything goes into that fryer. My better half was sick to her stomach for two days after we ate here. Not recommended.
I had an amazing time here! The fact that its an open concept you can see the kitchen and them making your food and really unique cocktails! The music was amazing the decor is to die for! The staff were so interactive the food was sooo good with so much flavour! I cant wait to go back here! I recommend it to everyone what an awesome experience!!! The best time ive had at dinner in a while!
Great place and great food
Went for a belated birthday dinner. We loved the atmosphere and the music as soon as we walked in. The food and drinks were eclectic and delicious, the staff great too. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy something new and exciting. Buen provecho!!
Love it! Great food, service and ambiance! Been there quite a few time times and never disappointed.
One of the.place to go in this pary of town. Food and drinks are a blast and the staff is super friendly.
Everything was perfect, except the bar stools that weren’t so comfortable...
Great food, interesting ingredients and spices, greatly recommended! Noisy though, bar seating only...
One of the best food experiences I have had in a long time! Food is inventive, yet approachable. I can see how the place could be fun at night, but I would recommend going early when the chef can spend more time with you. Oh, and absolutely ask to sit around the bar. I would/will travel back to Montreal to dine there again.
My husband and I saw this restaurant online, before booking our vacation to Montreal, and we knew we wanted to visit it for dinner one night. The menu looked outstanding, and it really was.
We shared four plates. The menu offers small, tapa-sized portions. Each dish we had was excellently prepared. We had the octopus, ceviche, fried chicken, and pork. Totally delicious! I loved the cocktails I ordered- the Pisco Sour is a must.
Unfortunately, we had horrible service. We waited for over 20 minutes for a round of drinks. We initially ordered 5 plates and 2 came out. The server had no idea we were missing any of our food. We re-ordered the 3 plates. This time we got 2 more. Our server still didn't observe we were missing any food. It was a busy night and we were being very friendly and understanding. We ended up cancelling the last order that didn't show up so we wouldn't be charged. Because of the horrible service, we opted to tip 10 percent, instead of the customary 15%, and the waiter became upset and argued with us about the tip we left. My husband remained calm and tried to explain why the service was bad, but the server ignored him and walked away.
Amazing food, but the servers bad attitude and inattentiveness was definitely a damper on the evening.
Loved!!! Ceviche was amazing👀 did like the papa rellena as well.
The boy at the bar are very nice and the chef Edy is the best!
This was our first foray into Nikkei cuisine, defined as a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian influences. Walking into Tiradito, first impressions were of high ceilings, storefront glass window, and a lively atmosphere – so far, so good. We settled into our bar stools which we found, by the end of the evening, were not the most comfortable seating even with the cushioning and back support. We found some hooks conveniently located under the bar counter on which to hang our purses and umbrella. With this out of the way, we were ready for cocktails. We started with the most popular drink, the traditional pisco sour ($13). Excellent! My friend later tried the guapita cocktail with a slightly acidic kick (from the citrus) – it was good but the traditional drink was better. After a quick chin-chin, we ordered a succession of small plates. Prices for salads run from $8-$11, but the stars are the seafood dishes which go from $11-$17. The meaty dishes are from $7-$12. We had, in order from best to mediocre: The dumplings (four on a plate, $11) were by far the standout of the evening, thanks to a delicate sweet and spicy vinaigrette. In fact, the sauce was critical to making all the dishes sing. The Tiradito albacore tuna ($13) was elevated with a rich sauce. The scallops à la chalaca ($11) came in a small shell and a refreshingly light vinaigrette. Although the scallops were small, they were cooked perfectly. We were disappointed with the octopus al olivo ($15) – although the octopus was very good, the black olive emulsion overwhelmed the dish. The pollo frito with salsa criolla ($12) came as advertised – the chicken was moist inside and crispy outside. They could jettison the many pieces of just fried batter though. (We also tried the mango ceviche but the mango fruit was way too raw. Since they removed this item off our bill, no complaints.) Overall, a uniquely pleasant experience. There were many other dishes to try so chances are, we’ll be back!
Was very disappointed by this restaurant after it being highly recommended. Unfortunately many of the food items were unavailable despite the fact it was rather early in the night. I also found the service to be lacklustre. Air conditioning was nowhere to be seen, and the dishes came at an incredibly sluggish pace. While I suspect this was an off night for this establishment, both my girlfriend and I were incredibly upset by our overall experience and would not go back anytime soon.
Excellente bouffe et drinks pour un prix raisonnable compte tenu de la qualité et de l’originalité! Belle ambiance avec le concept comptoir au bar!
Price is a little steep for the portions, but the food was good. Interesting beverage options. Decor and ambiance was unique.
Delicious food, but pricy.
Energetic vibe with creative flavorful food great for sharing. Seating is all close the bar and prep areas where you can interact with those finishing the dishes. A fun casual setting and reasonably priced close to the center of Old Town.
What a gem! Fabulous creative food, awesome staff, vibrant atmosphere. We went 2 nights in a row. #goingback
Food was absolutely amazing!
Signature cocktails are stunning!
Defenetly want to come back!
Not to be absolutely dramatic but I think this was the best food I’ve ever eaten. Make sure to get the Lobster Causa!
The “no waiter” concept is a neat idea, but it fails on execution. We waited ten minutes to be seated as we stood by their “allow us the pleasure to seat you sign,” finally getting a temp spot against the wall as a seat at the bar wasn’t ready. Then everyone forgot about us for 15 minutes, so had to bother the overworked bartender for drinks.
Finally seated 25 minutes past our reservation time, with no cutlery or napkins and no one asking if we’d like to order food. Grabbed a kitchen runner 20 minutes after being seated and he returned with an iPad and took our order. The too hot temperature of the room also contributed to our frustration I’m sure.
The duck arrived instantly, with a 15 minute gap before anything else arrived. The final two dishes arrived what seemed like an hour after ordering.
Everyone was hustling. No one was in charge. No one had ownership over the customer experience.
I forgive things like this on opening night, but this place has been in business for a bit. If an idea (no waiters! Everyone pitches in!) sounds good on paper, but can’t work on a Tuesday, then it may be time to revisit it.
Not a fan that bar staff prepares food and serves it to customers.
Food was great and the cocktails too. Incredible noise and very long waiting time to take the order and to be served
