   We got the tomahawk steak and the bronzini. It was mediocre at best. We can make better tomahawk steaks and sea bass at home. Our waiter told us it is the best steak in town. Not true. Domanicks holds that honor and the steak at Toca Medra does not even come close to that. Our sides of mac and cheese, fries and seasonal veggies were good not great but good. Our service was great. This is the second time I have been here and honestly will not be back. There are so many restaurants in the area that have better food for a much better price. After a tip our bill for 4 people was $675 with only one drink. I expect for that price the food to be significantly better.

   Terrible experience. Food was cold. When we told the server she rolled her eyes. Our bill was not cheap about 400usd. When we asked for seperate Chequers for three people she once again rolled her eyes

   We were a little surprised that a Monday night was so busy and loud. There is a bit of a night club 'vibe'. The food and service were both great. The al pastor chicken tacos were very dry, not acceptable and, without asking, they were removed from the bill (we also did not eat them).

    Overall, I loved the environment and the food. The music that was being played was great, the service was great and the food was great. One thing that I do wish was enforced more was the dress code that the restaurant has guidelines around.

    We came in for Mother’s Day. I believe management planned poorly for such a large crowd. We stopped our dinner experience at drinks. Our waiter was too busy and we hoped he had help. The poor guy was simply overwhelmed. Additionally, options were surprisingly limited. Wish there was more to add but unfortunately, we will not be coming back.

    Food didn't come to table at same time for all parties - naturally this created a very uncomfortable dining environment - when one party has to watch the others eat (and the others feel uncomfortable starting). When my food did eventually come the eggs were almost raw (after I had instructed at time of order to be well done) and meat was tough as leather. Had to send my dish back. No manager came to apologize nor check on what was happening.

    The steak we ordered was cold/luke warm we had to send it back. The calamari was okay. Though the service was good and the vibes were good. Just wished the food was better like it has been previously.

    Normally, we have a fantastic experience at toca, however this one was not the greatest. I had made a reservation for 8 but when I checked in I was told that the reservation had been changed the day prior at 10:30am from 8 to 4 people. I had never called to change the reservation - they also don’t open until 11am so it could not have been me who changed the reservation. We had guests in town for a special event which left us feeling quite frustrated.

    Dont go if you are twosome unless one of you like looking at a wall. All 2 top seating is on the peremeter of the space. Main appeal and differentiator is the vibe and people watching which is completely lost if your back is to the room. Wont be back.

    Such a great dining experience! We loved how we could customize the omakase pricing to fit our needs and still had WAY more food than we could imagine consuming. Service, food, drinks, presentation, atmosphere, all 10/10. I’d love to go back !

    Hunter was rude and presumptive and became very dismissive with my guests. It was unnecessary. People flew in from Chicago, Dallas & Vegas to celebrate my birthday. He started it off horribly.

    I was SUPER excited to come here, the prices are ridiculous and portions are tinyyy, but I would've felt better paying the price if we got the full experience. None of the performers were out I was really dissatisfied about that.. made reservations weeks in advance got the worst seat in the place and server had a strong attitude. Also had some random charges that weren't disclosed. Like I said I would've been more comfortable paying these prices if we got the full experience and had a nicer server. When people are spending that much & tipping 20% the server should never give off a rude vibe. That's unacceptable and she isn't being grateful of what we're spending/tipping.

    Had a party of 6 so we tried a lot of the menu. Just wasn’t up to par for what you would expect from this level of restaurant. Very disappointing. Will be going to other restaurants in the area in the future.

    Food was amazing maybe a little over priced but nonetheless it was good. Food does not match the service definitely well coursed, barely any attention which is good if you like being left alone. An experience starts with the server and it’s good to be engaging we never received that we had an order taker. Will give another try next time with a different server.

    Went here for my birthday on a Saturday night and man is thisnplace awesome! Will definitely have to check out their other locations but the scallops were one of the best scallop dishes I’ve ever had. Wine was good and service wonderful. Highly highly recommend

    My wife and I went for our Anniversary in mid-late April 2023 and got seated in a nice booth, but at the very rear near the bar of the restaurant. We were unfortunately out of view of the more decorated, bright and open main seating area. The management also seemed pretty lax about the table next to us spilling into our space by adding an extra 3 people to an already full 4 person booth. The cocktail and food presentation definitely reflects the quality you see when you Google it. We ordered half a dozen oysters, sashimi Mexicano, ceviche blanco, Toca Caesar, Scallops with rice and corn for sides. All of the appetizers and main courses were stellar, however the simplest dishes (rice and corn) were pretty flavorless and overcooked. The scallops were cooked to near perfection, and all of the raw fishes tasted fresh. Our service was decent but with the noise volume so high it was hard to hear each other let alone our hostess. She was nice and relatively attentive but with the water glasses so small there was pretty inconsistent refills which always sucks. Overall I think the food makes up for the aforementioned drawbacks, but given it was our anniversary I do wish we could have gotten better seating.

    True 5 star experience. There were fire dancers, random electric guitar players walking around, drinks on fire. Very trendy, very hip, the servers were some of the best I have had. Definitely recommend the omakaze tasting menu. Easily one of the top 5 restaurants in Scottsdale
