I would like to thank our outstanding server who gave us great advice in what to try on the menu. Also about the cheese and wine parring night. Can’t wait to try this!
Looking forward to the next time.
Took my best friend here for dinner , she was very pleased . Everything is perfect
Amazing place! The taste of the lamb was fantastic. One of the best lamb I've tasted thus far. The seabass was cooked nicely, flavorful, and without fishy taste. The mussels did not have any fishy taste to it as well, and overall just amazing. The pasta with wild boar is delicious as well!
Went for Saturday brunch. Great seafood selection but more egg dishes would be nice. Also more fresh bread options. Service was excellent though.
Everything was perfect! A truly enjoyable dinner experience.
It was a belated Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend. The food was alright but he service needs to be quicker....
A wonderful experience to have on Valentines Day — thank you for the wonderful memories. Will return again!
An amazing experience- from the friendly greeting, the amazing service, they even surprised us with a complimentary dessert for our wedding celebration dinner, I will definitely be back!
I was very pleased with my meal which the chef made for me. I am vegan and after consulting with the waiter, he suggested that the chef can make me a pasta dish with tomato sauce and vegetables. It was delicious!
Definitely one of the better buffets around for quality. It's awesome to have seafood but also great to have drinks included so you don't feel like you are being up sold anything. It's a complete dining experience. It wasn't my first brunch there and I will be back.
All my food that was supposed to be hot came out cold. Eating the grilled octopus was like eating at a sushi bar - COLD and RAW. Don't order it. Waste of money. The rack of lamb was overcooked, dry, tough, and, you guessed it - served COLD when it was supposed to be hot. Don't order it. Waste of money. The only delicious item was the lobster salad, which was meant to be chilled and it was chilled -although the portion was minuscule.
I will never dine here again. Convenient for those who stay in hotel but for dining guests like me who live in the city, there are far better places in Toronto for dining. If it is bitter cold outside, the snow is falling heavily, and visibility is practically zero and you are stuck in the hotel, then dine here as a last resort. Otherwise, take a limo, cab, or Uber elsewhere.
The only redeeming experience of the night was the server. She was amazing, on point, and empathic to her dining clients. Unfortunately, the kitchen, nor the chef in charge, backed her up. She probably earns good tips, but ultimately, is it really worth the hassle of being a go-between the kitchen and clients.
Until they can assure you that the kitchen has improved, I suggest you dine elsewhere.
Went down to celebrate a birthday dinner in a group. We had to get our waiters attention multiple times. Also on asking if the pasta could be gluten free, after the waiter asked if the table had allergies or sensitivities, the waiter said with such disgust that it could be from a flour out of the box, as pasta was made in house. And remarked well its not an allergy. Is it right for the waiter to make you feel uncomfortable if you're chosing a healthier option? While i do have a gluten sensitivity I thought well if he says with such disgust perhaps the pasta made would be horrible. And opted to eat the regular pasta.
It was good overall, but some food were refilled not in time
Had the tagliatelle with bolognese sauce - not sure what I was expecting ordering something so basic but that’s what I usually do when eating at a restaurant for the first time. Nothing special about the dish I have been eating pasta almost daily since I was 5 (35 years). Guess you are paying more for the associated name (ritz). Basic dish done well. Atmosphere was ok not crazy loud was able to chat with a client. I had to ask for someone to bring me cheese. I will go back for the same dish. The burger on patio in the summer is great.
Excellent food and service.
Good waiter . Very attentive . Great place to have lunch .
It was a lovely lunch, tasty food & excellent service by Marco.
Delicious food, great athmosphere and excellent service (made it that much better by our server, Grace)!
I took my fiancé for his birthday there and it was one of our favourite experiences!! Loved everything about it there!
I got extremely sick the same night after dinner. I was dying form stomach aches and nausea. I went into the emergency room and they said I caught a bug (stomach infection). This is insane I spent three night in emergency because of this one dinner. Health regulations must be reviewed in this place.
Came here on a Tuesday night. The place was buzzing but not noisy. We enjoyed the relaxed ambience, exceptional service and most of all our meals. We look forward to returning to TOCA.
Nice restaurant. Always enjoy it. Going back for dinner next week
Great place, great service, great food
Expectations were high coming in but the food was nothing spectacular and we overheard one of the front end manager (higher position than waiters/waitresses due to the suit jacket she was wearing) complaining about the tips received by one of the nearby table of six. Comments of that nature should not be heard by dining customers to say the least. Food portions were small and we were left wanting more at the end of the night. Leah was our waitress - she started well and attended to my mom’s food restrictions with the appetizers but didn’t follow through with the entree or dessert. It seems like she had forgotten about it altogether. Overall, this is not the dining experience I was expecting from Ritz-Carlton.
First time at TOCA and I was very impressed. It was Winterlicious but we weren't rushed out and were treated wonderful by all staff. Loved the Ambiance and the food was amazing. First time there but certainly won't be the last.
sunday brunch was just amazing. Lots of selection. would definitely refer to friends!
Went here for a birthday celebration and to try their Winterlicious menu. We ordered the entire menu to try everything.
I would say the food was ok. Some dishes were very bland and boring. Fish and steak portion was SO small it was almost a joke.
The noodle dish was very bland and unappealing.
Only things that saved this dinner was the foie gras and desert was on point!!!! Service was spectacular and I have no complaints on that end.
Would I come back? Only for desert.
Portion size too small for a grown man.
My bf was disappointed and came home hungry after paying over $450.00 bill.
I felt bad i picked the place.
I ordered off the regular menu. Winderlious menu did not give enough food. 2 bits does not make a steak.
Diningroom beautiful. Server was busy.
Was here for Winterlicious 2019. Menu was conventional but quality was good, stick to basic. The hand-painted display plates were very nice.
Absolutely incredible ambience and food. Service was outstanding. A little expensive though but it is the Ritz!
Participated in "Winterlicious Menu" program.
The food was properly prepared, was served at the right temperature, seasoned well, and quite tasty.
Service was prompt, accurate and efficient. Surely knows the finer points of table service.
We'll definitely do it again.
Had winterlicious lunch with a friend. The food quality was below average. We had lunch/dinner in Toca before. The experiences prior were better.
The weekend brunch is highly recommended. It's totally worth the price tag! There's a full seafood bar, delicious desserts, live stations and bottomless mimosas and bloody caesars. What a great way to treat yourself!
We came for Sunday brunch- although it was a self serve buffet, our waiter (I think his name was Tomek?) was always present to refill our mimosas or ask how things were. Great service, great food, 10/10 would recommend.
Excellent meal and service. Would highly recommend
Expensive but worth every penny. Delicious, creative food with top-notch service! Will definitely visit again
Great service, as usual! One of my fav spots!
We eat out a lot, all over the place on both sides of the ocean so we really do know of what we speak. . Open Table insists on a minimum of 50 characters for theses posts, but we can wrap this up in just a few. Best meal in 10 years ANYWHERE for us was last Wednesday night at TOCA. No bull. Do the lobster caprese, lamb, gnocchi, tiramisu, etc. and enjoy the fried cheese to start and the house made lemonchelo to finish. Excellent service as well. awp
Impeccable service and food. They made me a special little thing for my birthday as well last second. Exactly what I would expect from a restaurant in the Ritz and will definitely come again
