Todays Menu // Food Studies is a Bistro/Restaurant situated in a Grade II listed building the center of Ilminster, which is just off the A303. Overlooking the Market Square and the old fountain.

We run a daily changing lunch menu (Priced around £6.00) and an A La Carte Evening Menu (Priced around £30-35pp).

Somerset Ciders & Apple Juices
We stock the following wonderful real ciders: burrow hill, perrys, taunton cider company and the very new and exciting pulpt.

Usually we've something in, however at the moment we're still seeking greatness in this area, if you know anyone worth a mention please drop us a line!
Gins & Things
Firstly, you have to try the delights that come from the somerset cider brandy CO! Then we have tarquins gin, northmoor gin, tanqueray and, well let's be honest these are often changing. Vodka from the almighty black cow (you'll also find their cheddar on our cheese board!) and lots of other stuff to tickle your fancy.

Excellent food, very friendly and knowledgable host, and the best cheese board we've ever eaten (and we've eaten in great restaurants all over the world). Definitely try it!

A quick light bite after a Theatre show at the Warehouse Theatre in Ilminster. Buffalo mozzarella with Bresola was superb. Cheese board very generous. Owner/Chef is extremely passionate about the food and explains the provenance with pride and joy. Good atmosphere, service was discreet. We will return! Buffalo

This is an outstanding bistro. Authentic, top quality food in a uniquely homely, eclectic, comforting yet professional atmosphere. There is nothing within sensible travelling distance (or probably beyond) that will compete with Today's Menu Food Studies. We will be returning :@)

We had a very pleasant time at Todays Menu Food Studies - although menu is limited there was something there for both of us to enjoy. The owner was very pleasant and enthusiatic about the food and wines he was selling. Fantastic Tiramisu for desert, all at very reasonable prices

Good food & wine. Were shown around & had a long chat with Alex. They are obviously passionate about what they do. Hope it works out for them. It was very quiet when we went, but apparently it has been very busy. Would be good to go when there are more diners in.

What a little treasure this place is. The attention from staff and knowledge of the sourcing and provenance of their foods and wines was enlightening. We were treated with great respect and served some well prepared and very tasty food. The atmosphere was really relaxed and the service excellent throughout. We're certainly going there again.
