Food was outstanding! Loved the Maitake Tempura and the Brussel Sprout Salad; sauces were perfectly concocted. The Beef Noodle Soup is a must-try… rich flavourful broth and tender beef shank. Will have to go back for the 1/2 Rice… fried chicken was crispy yet tender and juicy. (Just wish there was better parking 🙁)

Went for lunch Sunday at around 2pm. Super quiet and love the sparse decor. Great service. But most importantly, the dishes had amazing seasonings. The beef soup broth was very intense and delicious, the rice bowl full of flavour and the dry soup incredibly unique.

We were there for Happy hour. The cocktails were quite creative and very good. In my opinion, the fish collars were dry and overpriced. Burrata peach heirloom tomato salad was ok. One thing we reflected on afterwards was although it's a Japanese restaurant, none of the food was particularly Japanese.

The food was unique and delicious. The cocktails are top notch, so good! The only negative was it took a very long time to get our bill. That said, this was our second time here and we’ll be back! A hidden gem.

We arrived about 15 min. early for our 5:00 p.m. reservation on a Saturday. I had requested a quiet table for 2, which was set and ready for us before we walked in the door. We ordered the Anniversary Chef's tasting menu. It was excellent! We enjoyed all courses. Food came quickly. Cocktails were creative and delicious, too. I think that our main server must have been new. She did not make eye contact when she was surveying the room (the restaurant only had a few tables occupied) and I had to ask for a few things by calling her when she walked by. A more friendly professional server was helping out towards the end of our dinner. Street parking was easy when we arrived. There were no spaces available when we left at around 6:30 p.m. The restaurant was getting full and noisy when we finished dinner. We rate the food here as one of the top restaurants we have been to, including Miku, L'Abattoir, Pidgin, and Botanist.

Met with friends for a weekday lunch at Torafuko. Stylish, low-key, minimalist space. Friendly service, inventive food, great non-alcoholic drinks. We loved it!
