Brussel Sprout Salad
Cauliflower, broccoli, roasted garlic miso aioli, maple pumpkin spiced granola
Fried Chicken Rice
Finger Lickin' chicken kickass rice
mixed kale, buttermilk dressing, crispy, quinoa
Mmm, I feel the food too oily, and the table beside the door was too cold when costumers enter in, the service was not warm and should be more smile. After finishing the meal, I feel the CP ratio as not compare as this reputation.
The quality of the steak was horrible… cooked perfectly medium rare but the meat was tough and hard to eat. The quantity was very stingey for the foie gras parfait… the ratio of rice and parfait was off.. there was enough parfait for only one rice .. for the price and quantity I’d rather eat a la cart. We left feeling hungry and not satisfied. Overall disappointing experience with dine out here.
Would not recommend coming for dine out.
excellently curated tasting dinner - perfectly prepared
Only suggestion, please supply serving utensils, bread and bowls where sauce is served - want to get all of that rich flavour.
Did not considerate what kind of food you service and use what kind of plating , use chopstick for Kale salad ? Kale not a bite size the eating plate is far too small only one piece if Kale already cover the whole plate , have bite the kale into small pcs before put in the mouth
Dislike every dish have to share why not offer one dish per person if we want to share we can share , limit our choice to try more food
Portion small , except the salad and the stick rice ,no too expensive ingredients , a little over price
We enjoyed our dine out dinner but it was quite expensive. We liked the sashimi New Zealand fish dish. Very tasty! Overall the food was good but the appetizer with crispy rice balls and ling cod entree were both overcooked.
My spouse ordered the foie gras, kale squash salad, mussels, steak, both ganaches, and cheesecake.
It was all very yummy! The steak coyld have used a bit of a sauce like a vinagarette or something. But over wouldn't change anything.
The dine out menu was amazing. Have a good time from start to end
I normally really like Torafuku. Their rice bowls are great for lunch.
This time we decided to try dineout and it wasn’t great. You choose one item per two people for each course (4 courses) and that’s a bit annoying because if one is vegetarian and other is not or if you have different tastes, one person is not getting what they want.
The sharing plates are small and flat so when we got to the cod dish which was served in a broth it was awkward to share, we basically had to forgo the broth.
I enjoyed the first dish which was fried rice and tuna tataki (wish we went for foie gras but my friend wasn’t into it), second dish was vegetables and we got the brussel sprouts, they were tasty. Third dish we tried cod, and I didn’t enjoy it, but maybe I would have if we were able to split the broth. Finally the dessert was great.
Service was nice throughout.
Overall I would not recommend dineout at Torafuku, but would go there on a non dineout day
Outstanding Dine Out menu. Very good value for the amount of food. Friendly service. Very nice ambience. Highly recommend.
Dinner was delicious. Will have to come and try again
First night of Dine Out Vancouver. Every course was beyond delicious. Portions were very generous. Service was a delight. Have never had anything but a great experience at Torafuku but last night was exceptional.
Vacation with family !
Our server was great! Attentive but not intrusive and gave really good recommendations. Food was also amazing, enjoyed everything we ordered.
Incredible food. Amazing service and delicious cocktails. Great wine list as well.
Food was amazing!! Seriously, some of the best food I’ve had in Vancouver. Get a rice bowl with pork belly or fried chicken. I’ll be going back anytime I’m in the city.
Every dish was a taste sensation!
Had dinner at Torafuku last night. Our first time there, but won’t be our last! Excellent, flavourful, fresh food well prepared and presented. Also really good cocktails. Best part though was the service - prompt, friendly, attentive, and a real team effort. I would give the staff 6 stars if I could!
We went for lunch not a huge menu - what they do have has amazing flavours and happy to say we tasted most things on the menu and i can’t wait to go back.
The food was really delicious! Especially the fried chicken. I thought the dumplings would be better…they were good but not great.
Great dinner! This was our 3rd or 4th time having dinner at Torofuku and it didn’t disappoint.
Food was excellent! Very quiet which is great for catching up with my bestie.
Great food and service - a great value for the tasting menu! Highly recommend- and if you like interesting and inventive cocktails
Oustanding food and service and quality of the food!
The food was outstanding. Drinks were delicious. Service was quick. They ran out of duck so we had the trout and it was phenomenal. The decor is brutal though.
A great night . Food and service was excellent. We will be back.
The service and food were exceptional! And the cocktails are delicious!! We had such a nice experience here. I’m definitely going to become a regular here!
We had the fall omakase. The first few courses were very good, especially the Brussel sprout salad! But unfortunately the duck was a disappointment. It came out a bit dry, and we asked the kitchen if this is how they intended it. They quickly remade it which we were so thankful for, but though it was juicer, it lacked flavour. The meat was not seasoned. Overall it was a good experience; perhaps just a one off. Would try it again for sure.
We had the special menu 7 services for 60$ each. I had the alcool pairing. The first cocktail “people” was very good! The 4 appetizers were all very tasty but the highlight was the cauliflower and brocoli salad. Sooo good. For the main we went with the duck and its fried rice. The fried rice was the hero! For dessert we went with the white chocolate ganache and it was very good paired with the wine dessert. Great evening and flavours! A must if you wish good proteins , new flavours and great presentation.
Really delicious. Amazing brussel sprouts and fantastic cocktails.
Everything on the cocktail menu was absolutely delicious! We ordered the same cocktails multiple times and each time they were made very consistent. We did the Anniversary Omakase and e v e r y t h I n g was on point. Each course was so tasteful, delicate, and so flavourful. If I lived in the city, would definitely visit very often! The cocktail happy hour definitely made our experience so much more enjoyable - who doesn't love happy hour for cocktails!
Thank you for sharing your amazing cuisine experience with the world.
I had the fall tasting menu which was 60 per person and the drink pairing for 30 per person. This was a fantastic experience and if I lived in Vancouver I would try all of the seasonal tasting menus!
Apple beet salad - I was not impressed with this one - flavours were not transformed enough.
Crudo - amazing! Would order again
Brussel sprouts - so good! Wish the Brussels were crispy but other than that the flavours were incredible.
Tataki - nothing special but I enjoyed it and would order again.
Duck fried rice - incredible, might be my favorite fried rice I have had
Roasted duck - I wasn’t a fan but maybe I just don’t like duck…
Basque cheesecake - good cheesecake - portion was huge for 2 people!
Drinks were a good value add with 1 cocktail, 2 wines and a dessert wine.
Overall great experience!
We love Torafuku, and have long been supporters, continuing to order from there and their sister food truck through the pandemic. We were excited to go back for my belated birthday, but found it a little flat. We arrived in time for our 9pm reservation and were asked to wait, witnessing others who'd arrived after being seated before us. After being seated at 9.30, we discovered they wete out of duck for the omakaze, and ordered the steak instead. While we understand the duck is a rwgular on the menu, due to having a minor child at home who is to young to vaccinate we're limiting time spent in restaurants. The food, for the most part, was excellent, although the steak was tough and appeared to be sliced with the grain. We were offered a dessert wine due to our first choice being unavailable. We'll be back, hopefullywhen the kinks are worked back out.
Really delicious menu! My family ate with me for my birthday and ordered the Omakase got a 7-course meal for 60$. Really worth it for a fine dining experience and was so filling.
Belle découverte...nourriture excellente...des plats très bien équilibrés.Service rapide et avec attention
Amazing food, loved the tasting menu, limited wine menu and basic/Simple decor. Serving staff were all so lovely.
Went during happy hour. Good deals for drinks! Food was pretty good, not many options for food but still very good!
Elegant, delicious, fascinating (new foods for us), unpretentious. 100% wheelchair friendly!
I had the 7 course tasting menu and it was amazing. Special recognition to the roast duck.
Excellent food, buzzy atmosphere. An excellent place for an evening out.
